As a Diamond member I never was treated that way. From check in to check out. For spending 80K points to stay for 2 nights was a joke. Pool was disgusting like you were in a motel. The area was very skecthy and homeless were allowed to walk in at 2 AM which we watched. We felt bad for the front desk night auditer she had ZERO protection. Only good thing was a Quick walk to Progressive field. Overall we were never offered anything as a diamond member! But $20.00 a night to park.

The service and employees alone make the stay! Rooms were clean, comfortable, and had no real issues. We totally enjoyed our stay, good location, and dog friendly. Check in was easy. Room was a standard King. I really liked our room and the view made it delightful. Could see all of downtown with the lake in the background. Even though it wasn't newly updated it was still nice and wasn't that outdated for an older hotel. Not a fan of the comforters and pillows but just not my preference. I prefer pillows not so fluffy you get sucked in and prefer comforters that are heavy and not so thin like a throw blanket. Great view so suggest even room numbers to get the city view. Price point for this hotel appears to be standard. The Lobby and common hours were way clean, nice, and inviting. Checked out the pool, gym, on-site laundry room, and business office but didn't get to use them. It was nice to have those if needed and other guest seemed to really be a fan of the pool. Hopefully next trip. Check out was easy through the app. The only thing really limited was no housekeeping option during the stay but linens and items available as needed or refreshed. I do want to highlight throughout the stay every single employee was super nice and encoring and makes you feel like a welcomed guest. Some Hilton hotels have slipped in this area and could learn from this staff from the front desk to housekeeping. Would totally stay here again and would highly recommend the location if you are traveling with a dog.

The hotel itself was adequate, the staff was friendly and it provides the basic amenities. The area around it though is desolate and did not feel safe walking back to after a show at night. In the middle of the night we got woken up by street racing, people fighting yelling etc on the street below. The picture you see in the description is actually the back of the hotel where the parking is, and the photo has been touched up. We were severely disappointed, and would not stay here again.

First the good… great location and the front desk staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The room needs a complete refurbishment . The bed was hard as a rock and had indentions where people had been sleeping . Worn out and not comfy at all. King bed had two small pillows and one large put in the middle . No coffee out in the lobby. Even the tru has that available at all times no breakfast included for Diamond members . Stains on the walls. Just def not what I expect from any Hilton property especially not HGI. Very disappointed and horrible night sleep. Irritated at the price for what I got!

This hotel is in need of an complete refurbishment, and is not up to Hilton Garden Inn standards. I’ve stayed at several HGI’s over the years, and have always expected very clean and comfortable rooms with no issues. I’ve stayed at this property back in 2014 when I visited Cleveland and it was very clean and well-maintained. It seems to have declined since then. First off, our room was not very clean. The tile floor was dirty; my socks turned black after walking on that floor. Also, the desk was greasy. In other words, it seemed Housekeeping only changed the bedding, cleaned the bathroom fixtures, and emptied the trash. Those were seemingly clean. The carpet also could use a shampooing as well. But, the biggest issue was the toilet didn’t have enough “swirly action.” We had to call for a plunger twice during our two night stay. There were some obnoxious drunks roaming the hallway at 3 AM banging on our door and other doors, and screaming. My mother was rather scared by this. The hotel is located in a fringe area on the edge of downtown, and there are some homeless people that hang around in the vicinity. It’s not an area I’d wander around at night—especially if there are no Guardians baseball games. The hotel is extremely convenient to Progressive Field, and is a great location for catching Guardians games. It is also close to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse—home to the Cavaliers. The Staff were friendly and helpful, so I don’t think it’s their fault. The hotel needs better management and a complete refurbishment. It is not a bad hotel, but if considering staying here please consider other options before choosing.

If you stay, check your room over before getting comfortable. Multiple stains on sheets, gum stuck to bed side table, dirty sheet behind chair. Really not sure if the room was cleaned at all after the person before us (beside making the bed). They cleaned the room/changed sheets after our request. Found the dirty sheet the next day when we went to plug in the lamp (not sure how long that has been there if it theoretically has been cleaned at least twice now). Tried to tell someone at the counter about the sheet on the second day but they would not assist me, even though a second person was just standing behind the counter. Also, we chose this hotel for the pool, it was closed the first day, they said it needed to be completely cleaned after a party the day before trashed it. The second day it was opened but it was too cold for the kids to swim. Ironically this is the one time a hotel has not sent me an survey email after my stay.

First impressions were that I was let off at the back of the building but upon further inspection it was in fact the front. Once I checked in and got to my room there was an odor that can only be described as a mix of cigarettes, mold, and sweaty feet. No amount of time can get you used to this smell. Since I booked my room using a third party I did not feel that I had a right to complain about the smell (and a small part of me thought that every room was going to smell this way). I also did not want to have to go back to the front desk and speak with reception as I did not have the most welcoming experience. There was also a spider on the ceiling above my bed. I do not like bugs and in my attempt to remove it I lost it under the bed or in a pillow. While looking for the body, I discovered trash behind the headboard from a previous guest. Needless to say, I was not thrilled with my experience and will not be booking here anytime soon. The only reason I ended up booking here was because my Vrbo was unexpectedly cancelled after the host found squatters living in the space. I might just be cursed when it comes to booking lodging in Cleveland.

As an avid traveler who has never left a poor review on a hotel, I have no choice but to leave this one. Was traveling with my wife and 21 month old son. Called 3x prior to arrival including prior to booking to clarify that there would be a pack n play available for my son. Every time I was assured that this would not be a problem. We also called the morning of. Upon arrival, there were no pack n plays. Spoke with both managers and they had no solution available or any way to rectify the situation or any reimbursement. As a result my son slept on the floor. I would absolutely not stay here again. Horrible experience

All the terrible reviews you just read are true. This was the worst Hilton hotel I’ve ever stayed in. As soon as we drove up, I knew we had made a terrible mistake. To say the outside around the hotel and in their parking lot, is a sketchy situation is being generous. We had to come in after dark twice and it was very concerning. There were groups of people gathered together in different spots just hanging out, intoxicated. There was a bug crawling across the floor in the bathroom. There was no top sheet on our bed. The room was dingy and dirty and very dusty. Someone said that when they got out of bed there was a gigantic dip in the mattress. Yeah, that happened. The mattress was bizarre. The only saving grace of this hotel was the staff. They were friendly and kind. There was so much wrong with this hotel that I didn’t even bother to report the bugs in the bathroom. If you drive up and you book this hotel, turn around and go sleep in your car.

Amenities could use updating (pool, hotel bar, parking lot). "Pet area" was really just an overgrown patch of grass near the bushes on the edge of the parking lot. Would not stay here again with a pet - worried about ticks. Very thin walls - awoke one night to arguing neighbors. Rooms feel very old. Not as accessible an area as I anticipated.
