No vintage charm. This is a hotel that was gutted in the 1990s and apparently gave up. Cast off, mismatched 1990s furniture in disrepair. Smelly musty rooms. Buckling laminate floors. Poor water pressure. Only a single ceiling light in each room. A sagging worn sleeper. Terrible and frankly downright creepy!

Hotel's Favourite
Anxious to visit this place after researching it, we were overall happy with our visit. We live just one county away and it was just a night away for the two of us. The room was clean, the pillows and bed were SOOO comfy, the AC was nice and cool, the view was awesome from the 11th floor, and it was fun walking around and imagining what it was like back in the day here! Check in was prompt at 4, we tried a few min early but had to wait; understandable. I had the Hilton Honors app, so my key card was attached to my phone and the actual cards did not work, which we found out at 10 pm when my phone died and my husband had to call the desk for help. Although the room appeared freshly cleaned, I always check the beds, and upon lifting the mattress cover to inspect, the mattress itself had huge yellow stains all over the pillow area and a couple by the feet area. Not only stains, but also a lot of hairs and crumbs under the cover. I feel it should be vacuumed periodically and if stained that bad, should be replaced. We tried not to think about it and the cover and sheets were over the area, so we slept really well as it was very comfortable. The bathroom has no fan....kinda odd, and a bit of musty smell in the shower. Parking is an additional $20 which we knew ahead of time and did not mind. The negative part was the breakfast that we paid for when booking, about $32 for 2 guests. We thought it was in "the breakfast room", but finally asked and was told it was in the attached restaurant. The assortment was very small and not worth the money we paid at all. Everyone there was confused to how it worked and the 2 ladies tried to keep up with all the guests but could not. We had to request silverware, butter and coffee, and waited over 20 min for it! There are no fresh eggs as some reviews said. In total, we consumed about 1/4 of a really dry, tough bagel, a few chunks of cantaloupe, and 2 coffees. I really would like the breakfast part refunded, but don't think I'm the only one who felt that way. One man said, "that's what I paid for?" and stormed out of there. I also think I saw a sign that said something about it being only $8...but we paid a lot more during the booking. Overall, we do plan on visiting this hotel again, and hope for a tour!

The staff members are great, the architecture is interesting and a welcome change from the lack of character the more modern buildings have. Mostly the room was fine, and the food at breakfast was quite good. The shuttle to little Italy was convienient, and people helped us figure out the bus system to downtown. It was good to be in a bit of a neighborhood . However, in room 1013 the caulking around the tub needs a lot of work, a box of Kleenex in the bathroom would have been a nice low cost addition, and mats on the bottom of the tub would help one not fall down... Cleveland hotels are expensive and yes parking was extra, and yes breakfast was too, but after a fair amount of research this was less expensive than other places. It is just not right downtown.

Really enjoyed my stay here. We were in a 2 Queen Bed 2 room suite. The room was modern and the beds comfortable. The view from our room was awesome, we could see the Cleveland skyline perfectly. The staff was great too. Everyone from the front desk to the bartender and the valet were all very kind and hospitable. It was my best hotel stay in Cleveland, it may not be in downtown but it is worth the couple extra minutes drive. I definitely recommend this hotel.

I wish I had read these reviews before booking, but this place needs a major makeover...it could be AMAZING, but sadly it is not. The location is perfect, but the execution is so lacking. The staff is friendly and helpful, but the room, was abhorrent: a) Dark room (one small window)...which is fine for a historic building but work on lighting then. b) Linoleum/faux wood floor...no carpet/rug c) Weird / uncomfortable furniture that had no use d) dead space in the room, yet crowded in other parts e) Bathroom mold, broken bar in the shower (for folks who need help...super dangerous), mirror with glue showing f) Overall 'fit and finish' of the room and public areas was a huge "miss". The building could be amazing as could the rooms, and the location justifies it, but I can imagine people staying elsewhere...this should NOT be a Hilton property...I'm a Diamond for Life member and know my Hilton properties...#failureOfExecution! Room 1110 needs a massive makeover.

Like several of Hilton's historic and old properties that they hope to salvage and recapture an era gone by, Tudor Arms tries but fails. The staff were nice, helpful and friendly. The exterior of the building and also the ballroom were fascinating and will sadly never be recreated in today's hotels. The rooms aren't bad but they can't hid years of painted over window sills, dated fake wood furniture topped with granite and awkwardly placed glass bathroom shelves. It's a shame that contractors splattered paint all over tile floors and left unused pieces of piping and holes uncovered because it probably cost too much to make it look nice. As a Diamond member, we did not get a room upgrade because the hotel was fully booked the day before (not sure how that impacted the current day). We did get our breakfast credit but, since the cook didn't show that morning, the hot buffet was limited to sausage patties, scrambled eggs and potatoes and was a reduced rate. Paid parking ($20 plus tax) is next door in a surface lot where they did not secure the gate while we were there. The hotel is on the edge of a sketchy area but next to the hospital and university campus. Half empty drink cans were left outside near the front door overnight and were joined by a pile of cigarette butts and a used sock the next morning. Lots of little things add up to a hotel that wishes it could be a nice DoubleTree but doesn't have much to work with.

This hotel is old, refurbished but not modernized. There are no signs to let you know you’ve arrived. The front door is very heavy and there are steps to the front desk. Also an elevator. There’s minimal staff, no outside areas and nothing in the immediate area. The breakfast area is downstairs. The first room I was assigned had toilet paper in the toilet and I asked for another room. The new room had less than a roll of toilet paper and one towel. The room was large and airy and the mattress comfortable. There is no daily housekeeping, which is fine but it would have helped if they told us ahead of time. There are no stores, restaurants within walking distance. If you’re staying there for an occasion in the building or need easy access to the Cleveland Clinic, it’s fine. Otherwise, go elsewhere. We Uber’d to downtown which has good restaurants and waterfront cafes.

We rented a King suite to stay with our adult son. The fold out couch was not opening, and maintenance sent two people to try to fix it without success. (It would not fully open or fully close.) We finally had to ask for a twin rollaway. But they had to remove the mattress from the couch in order to close it, making it unusable as a couch. We asked for a new room, but they had no other suites. They did not offer any service recovery at all after four times discussing the issue with them. I noticed the Hilton sign promising "they will make it right"; but I had to ask about the sign. The night employee Ryan said he would take two days of the $20/day parking off, but when I reviewed the bill, only one day was removed. The person at checkout the next morning was very rude when I pointed this out. I DO understand that furniture sometimes doesn't work, and I understand the hotel may be full. I DON'T understand rude behavior and half-hearted customer service in the face of these issues. I do not recommend this hotel.
