Absolutely brilliant stay.We chose Greenhill because it was near where we honeymooned 25 years ago,was a Georgian house and had a cat.The room was beautiful and comfortable. The food was excellent. Never tasted such a lovely Eton mess. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even helped parents with a surprise delivery of flowers. We will definitely visit again in the future and will recommend to our friends.

Toured Scotland, stayed in many places, stopped off here on our way home. Stayed here last year too, amazing place, everyone devoted to making your stay special, nothing's changed. Our room was lovely, the food was just so tasty, Dinner and Breakfast. We, and our dog were made so welcome. Many thanks to making our journey memorable.

My wife and I stayed at The Greenhill for two nights and would have loved to have stayed for longer. The accomodation is beautiful as are the surroundings. The staff are attentive, professional, personable and helpful. The food is, and I cannot stress this enough, second to none. Everything we ate was exceptional and over the period we were there we sampled breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would not hesitate to recommend The Greenhill, neither would I hesitate to return next time we are in the area. Many thanks to all of the team.

We stayed at the Greenhill on the night of our wedding anniversary. We regularly eat at the Greenhill when we can and have stayed their many times over the years and attended and had functions there. We treated ourselves to an overnight stay and it was as excellent as always. Lovely room, very comfortable bed and lovely view over the lawn to the Lakeland fells. We both had an excellent nights sleep. Nice and peacefully in the hotel even though it was nearly fully booked. We had a delicious meal in the hotel and a lovely bottle of wine. The staff were amazing as always, attentive and professional. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, cooked to order and high standard. An excellent over night stay, fabulous staff and excellent quality food in lovely surroundings. Thanks Greenhill and staff!

Room Tip: It looked as if all rooms look out over the front at the hotel grounds. Ours was very spacious.
