Brilliant service, and the staff made you feel at home. They were very friendly and efficient.The cleanliness in the whole hostel was excellent. Meals and breakfast were great. The location and scenery were stunning.

Spent 3 days here walking the nearby fells.The Hostel was well placed for Sca Fell where we were going. It was clean and the staff were friendly with a good breakfest each morning to set us up for the day. I will use again.More

This hostel is really lovely, in a beautiful location and has everything you would need. Negatives are WiFi is patchy, not many loos, hardly anywhere to charge your phone. But everything else is greatMore

Great, friendly place with superb hosts/wardens. All the basic necessities required to enjoy our stay in a quieter area of the lakes. Able to walk up Scafel directly from the hostel and also to local pubs with great gluten-free menu's.More

Woolpack is nearest but not the best. Still after a day up Scafell I think you would be on such s high you will put up with lessctham perfect. You can get drinks in the yha too.
