#11 of 42 Speciality lodging in Akumal
My house in Akumal town is located a couple of streets from downtown and a mile from the beach of the turtles. I have 5 private rooms and one bedroom, we know how important communication is, that is why in all rooms there is WIFI. The bedroom has 5 beds and a bathroom inside, air conditioning, fans, hot water, lockers, refrigerator and coffee maker, can be booked by bed or the entire room if desired. You can also reserve a private room for one, two or up to 3 people depending on your needs with air conditioning, fan, hot water, refrigerator, Smart TV and private bathroom. Since we are in a tourist place we have rental of bicycles and snorkel equipment so that they can make their own adventure to visit some cenote or go swimming with the turtles in the bay of akumal, the lagoon of yalku or the bay of the media Luna if you need a guide we can recommend the best. The village of Akumal is authentic and friendly place.

Andreas and her dad are very nice hosts. The room at the top floor is very spacious and clean, with views over the village. We needed a quiet place, this was perfect for couple of nights. There is a shared kitchen, and also a burrito shop nearby selling tasty fresh food. Would highly recommend in Akumal;)

We booked here for 2 nights but stayed 3. It's in a great location to experience the town and culture proper - there is so much more to Akumal than turtles! The beach is a 15 minute easy walk away but bicycles are also available to rent. The room was perfect with full sized fridge, sink, good hot water, shower, coffee maker, comfortable clean bed, AC, fan and a huge TV! Wifi was excellent. There is a shared kitchen too. The young girl doesn't speak English but the owner does and he's a very friendly person, as are the people of Akumal. Accommodation on Akumal is very pricey, but this is pennies and worth everyone of them and more! I hope to return someday!

Even if we just stayed one night, we enjoyed our stay at El Padrinos a lot. Victor is an excellent host! We checked in very late, but it was no problem for him. Also, he gave us very useful tips concerning the beach (where to go, when we can see the turtles etc). The location in the actual town of Akumal is nice and very authentic, there are many places where you can eat delicious tacos or drink fresh juices and it’s just 10-15min away from the beach. Our room was big, had AC, a fan, a private bath and it was clean. For this price, we really could not have asked for more.
