February 15, 2020 the hotel was totally destroyed by fire. A lot of money was spent in the last decade to restore this beautiful 116 year old building. Fire started about 3.45 am. Everyone was safely evacuated and a state of emergency was declared. Such a shame.

This was a great place for us to stay for one night. We had plans to visit Waterton Park and were looking for a cost-effective spot, and The Legendary King Edward Hotel was absolutely perfect. The room was super clean and felt very fresh and lovely. It's a bit strange when you first arrive, you have to pick up your key in the bar, but once you're in the hotel it's totally fine. I didn't read closely on the website, but not all the rooms have wifi. We stayed in room 106, with two twin beds, which unfortunately did not include wifi. The fridge was great for all our road snacks, and the bathroom was spacious and super clean! It took a minute for the hot water to get going in the shower, but once it did it was great. Neither of us slept particularly well, but I don't think that had anything to do with the quality of the hotel. We agreed we'd love to come back and try and suite! If you're looking for a great spot to stay while hiking and don't mind a bit of a drive, this is the perfect hotel for you.

Located in downtown Pincher Creek, this is the only place I would stay. Lots of character, spotless rooms, and, above all, considerate and thoughtful staff. Good food at the restaurant and great service.

This is an original hotel for the area, the rooms have been recently renovated, nothing fancy but very clean, comfortable and we had a very big shower which was fantastic, the room exceeded our expectations!! We had dinner at the bar and meet some of the locals and the staff behind the bar, which really made our whole experience exceptional. You need to go to the bar to check in, overall this is a locally run business and we felt part of the community even if if was just for the one night and would certainly stay again in we were in the area.
