I have stayed in pubs before and I know what to expect however this was ridiculous. The noise didnt stop at all. ALL NIGHT. between drunk couples coming back and forth and the paper thin walls you can hear beds creak, the floorboards are so loud that no movement goes unnoticed. Then at around 4am when i had had really had enough someone has let thier giant dog bound up and down the halls on the creaky floorboards. Will never stay again. Worth the mony to stsy in a cheap hotel over this place.

The beer glasses were perfect and held the best head I have seen in a long time. Restaurant had a pretty standard menu but the food was well cooked and a good sized serving. Great pub food and price was average for a pub.

If you are hungry after a long explore around the beautiful Eden district, a long drive, or just want some terrific country pub food go the this establishment. The staff are friendly, the wine list acceptable, and the food is great! Enjoy... especially on a nice day when the weather will let you eat on the balcony that overlooks the bay!

If you are in Eden and looking for a good value pub meal then you cannot go past the Great Southern Restaurant, great meals and good value, sit out on the deck and enjoy a great view of the Ocean, staff were very friendly. Lunch and dinner were excellent - they have a very large restaurant and a friendly public bar. The room is clean & comfortable and have own shower and toilet. The food was cooked perfectly and meals are large. There are beautiful views if you are enjoying your meal from the deck and can bump into some friendly locals. But what I liked most was the exceptional local staff Locals were fun to talk to and approachable, and I had a great night passing through. You will find 27 high quality pictures of the hotel, restaurant, meals in my gallery including pictures of menu card as well. Thank you to everyone for looking after me and making me all feel at home. Great food, amenities and service from all the staff. If you're going through Eden, and you need a comfy bed and a good meal, look these guys up!!!

After a long day at work I was welcomed with a cold beer and a simple but excellent meal. With a "special" showcasing local seafood it was just what was needed. The service is good and pretty quick considering the crowd that was in for a Monday night. I will definitely be back when next in town for work.
