I’m writing this after the 2nd time my family and I have stayed here in the last year. The rooms are older-style, but considering they have the cheapest accommodation prices - not only in Eden, but probably the whole Sapphire Coast - they are great for what you pay. They are clean and comfortable and our kids loved the playground and the pool. The staff are the real stars. They bent over backwards to try to make our stay comfortable and positive both times - especially considering our first stay was during the middle of the pandemic and we were there for a few weeks (while we looked for a rental as we had just moved into the area). They are extremely respectful and accommodating, allowing us to have a late checkout both times due to a few issues we were having. They are also extremely kid friendly (unlike another close by motel, who made us feel unwelcome the whole time we were there because we had kids). I have read a few negative reviews here about the Nimo hotel and honestly, I think those people are too entitled, expecting gold for pennies. It is what it is - a comfortable, clean place to stay if you’re on a budget and want to be treated like you’re actually welcome, even though you have a few kids. We will recommend to anyone who’s staying in Eden.

I'm not gonna take a dump on the owners of this tired old motel. If you just need a room to sleep and put your gear while you trip around the greatness that is Eden and the surrounding areas and you dont care about half decent WIFI (use your mobile hot spot its likely to be way faster) and you get a good deal then this will do.. The chinese family that run it are very friendly. The restaurant was closed due to COVID. The grounds and driveway are in poor condition, the place is old but for $80 a night when everywhere else is $100+ its worth it.. ***bring your own plates, bowls, cutlery and cleaning stuff if you intend eating in the room.. We came with a picnic pack fully prepared and we needed it.. It was a cheap deal, we needed a room for 2 nights and put the savings elsewhere. If your a thrifty person, this place is fine.. If your used to 3-5 stars, go elsewhere.

Arrived and was offered a can of coke or bottle of water. I stayed in room 15. I paid $45 for the room. Yes $45. The room was clean enough for it's age. The carpet was clean but did have ingrained staining. The bathroom was original and some minor mould around tiles on base of wall. Room had tea and coffee and bonus 3 Oreos - delicious. Would have loved a floor towel for the shower. Bed was comfortable. Disappointingly, the restaurant which everyone had been talking up was closed for renovation and I thought he said it had been closed since January but other reviews have mentioned it so it could have been July. Check to see if restaurant open. It was Wednesday night and the Country Club was closed. I had special friend rice from Chinese in town which was OK. There is a large backyard if you have kids. They have some peacocks in cages. They are in the middle of renovating so hopefully willl improve the place. For $45, even $60 - it's a great deal .
