Not what I expected when looking at the ratings. I travel to the Raleigh area often for medical treatment. I usually stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites at Brier Creek; however, there were no rooms available at the time of booking. I usually book a handicapped room if available as I have mobility issues and the bathroom is easy to navigate. When I arrived, the young lady at the desk did not greet me as she was in the phone, so I continued to speak with my travel partner. When the call finished, she proceeded to do something at the desk, so I continued talking until I was greeted…which never happened. I looked up to see if she was ready and was met with, “Are you ready now,” and an attitude. Ma’am, I had been waiting on you, but continuing on I completed check in and proceeded to my room to drop off my things. I immediately noticed the room was rather worn compared to other properties; however, due to my medical needs, I needed to eat and did no further inspection. When we returned, I noticed several things that made me decide to cut my 2 days down to 1. There were stains on the chair, the carpet was stained, the benches at the end of the bed were stained and torn, there was hair on the floor in the bathroom. The beds were clean, but uncomfortable. Because I’d suffered a medical emergency earlier, this wasn’t going to work for me. I called the front desk, explained my situation, and told them I would be leaving in the morning and wanted a refund for the next day. They informed me I needed to call the 3rd party I booked through in order to do that, which I did, they confirmed with the hotel, and all was well, until the morning. At check out, I asked the person at the front desk to see if the third party had processed the cancellation for me after explaining everything from the night before. He told me that it wasn’t showing, and asked the other front desk person who had just so kind and courteously helped a previous customer. He then proceeded to tell me refunds are never given that way. I told him I confirmed it the previous night and spoke with the person working the desk as well. He proceeded to tell me “like he said” refunds are usually not given and I probably wouldn’t get one. He also proceeded to ask if I was a Hilton Honors member, which he could see on my account in front of him, as well as the fact that I’m a travel agent. When I told him yes, he felt it necessary to voice to me that he “didn’t know why I wouldn’t just book through them anyway. I’m not saying that much money. I won’t ready make a difference.” If his intent was to save me money, there is a thing called tact that should be exercised and not in conjunction with an escalated tone and a side of rudeness, especially when the other patron did not receive the same. If you don’t like serving customers, then customer service isn’t your forte. When a person is sick, added stress isn’t helpful. Regardless, your interaction with people, and how you present yourself and facility may be the last thing a person experiences. Let it be pleasant.

Chris Cramarossa is the manager of the Hampton. Great person who went out of his way to help out. We were there for 3 days and on the first day we asked if there was a shuttle to the Crabtree mall. Chris said yes over the phone and we came down to the lobby and a person was waiting for us to take us to the mall. We were riding in the shuttle and the person happened to be Chris. He was fantastic giving us insight into the area, the mall, the back way around the 6 lane highway and a host of other good things to know. He even took us right into the parking garage near the restaurant we wanted to go to and made other suggestions. At the beginning of the shuttle ride I did not know he was the manager BUT I asked and usually I will tell someone in the corporate level that they have a great person. Well Hilton needs to know that they have a great person in Chris Cramarossa. In addition the front desk person Ethan and another co worker very customer oriented also. Room was clean and well maintained. Only one glitch was the sink faucet ran to slow... Otherwise a 10 all the way. All the staff was very responsive and attentive. From the breakfast person to the room attendants. Kudos to the whole team. Thank you.

Pros: location is great and it is super clean. The staff is amazing. Cons: bed is horrible and pillows are rough. It’s very loud and we heard sirens all night. It depends on what you’re looking for. Again, easy to get to and close to everything.

Absolutely fantastic We requested extra pillows, blankets & were met with each in short order. E___n at the front desk was an exceptional attendant, & we really looked forward to seeing him as he assisted during our stay. Clean, quiet, perfectly located- this will definitely be a return for us when we are in the area. Our four legged babies were welcome & the fees were very reasonable. Beautiful amenities & convenient snacks/drinks! Thank you for all you do.

I was here for one night for a quick business trip. Great clean modern room. Really good breakfast included with your stay. The staff are so welcoming and make you feel right at home. Arthur Daniel, one of the managers goes above and beyond. The shuttle services were so convenient too! Although there's plenty in the area walking distance. It was such a great stay! I'll definitley stay here again when in Raleigh.

Made reservations and needed an extra day which would have been less expensive if booked in online or through TA’s site vs requested onsite as an Honor’s member. No ability to communicate with staff through Hilton app for needs or requests. Very good service and breakfast. Free parking, well lit. Plentiful towels for two day stay with adequate trash cans. Comfortable room, no upgrade offer for Gold Hilton member. Refrigerator and microwave in room!!

We booked this location at the last minute due to a mix up at another location. This place was amazing. The front desk was busy but you couldn’t tell it by the staff. They acted like you were their only customer. They were very pleasant, helpful and professional. Our room was very nice. It was very clean and quiet. The hotel itself as a whole was upscale and immaculate. Of course, we enjoyed the pool and their awesome breakfast. This place is definitely on our “will be back” list.

My hotel room appeared unclean in the bathroom., Our bed was also very hard. We ended up leaving the hotel at 1am and heading back to Virginia. We didn't even stay for breakfast. The lobby area of the hotel appeared clean but the front desk assistants weren't very friendly and welcoming.
