Ok so let’s start from the beginning. The receptionist was very rude. He asked for my card when I checked in and so I asked him how much he was charging me for the room I had booked. He refused to answer me at first. “Oh, I’m just charging you for your room.” I said yes but how much? He said around $144. Then it changed to $148. It’s supposed to be $140 not that I care about $8 I just thought it was interesting he refused at first to tell me and then couldn’t give me an exact amount for what I was being charged. Then the elevator is completely out of date and looks dirty. It also like to freak out when it is going past the 2nd floor. After the first time using the elevator we opted for the stairs. The pictures of the rooms are misleading. Our room smelled of smoke even though I selected a non smoking room. Pictures look nice and show you the room at an angle so you don’t see the true room. Outdated rooms with nice furniture thrown inside. Oh and don’t close the bathroom door for privacy because you won’t be able to get out. No matter which direction I turned the lock or handle I couldn’t get out. My friend had to get me out from the outside. I will not use this hotel again.

I'm a Marriott BonVoy member (RIP SPG), and Four Points is one of my favorite go-to hotels, but this one is by far the worst one I've ever been to. Heck, this is the first one I've ever had a bad experience with. I should've known something was up when I overheard a call at the front desk from another customer complaining about the tub not being cleaned, but I decided to proceed with my booked room anyway. After I finally got my key and went to my room, I never felt so disrespected and disgusted. They gave me a key to a room that was NOT even cleaned yet! Trash was still in the trash can, beds were unmade, toilet was continuously running, tub still wet from shower, and some other things here and there. I was so heated that I checked out with any explanation, because I most likely would have caused a scene if I did. I was actually surprised the guy at the front desk didn't even ask if there was something wrong with the room after seeing that I checked out about 15 minutes after checking in. It's bluntly clear that they don't care.

This place is a joke. The entire building is run down. The rooms are dirty, curtains are extremely dirty, the carpet is coming up. The furniture is old and out dated. The internet and streaming system is always down. The billing system is completely messed up. If anyone has to book here use a third party not the Marriott app. If using the Marriott app once you check in they will charge your card. Then days later it will release back into your account then weeks later they will take the money out of your account again. This happened to me four times. I'm done with this property. Marriott really need to let this property go. The will most definitely inconvenience the customers. Also, this place is really over priced and really like a one star hotel. It's definitely not in a good location. The surrounding areas are horrible. The customer service is a hit or miss. They have a high turn over rate with employees. Patek an employee has terrible people service skills. I will definitely not return to this horrible property.

I booked a last minute Southwest Vacations package last week to take my daughter on a college tour in the Raleigh-Durham area. Overall, the flight was fine and the Hyundai Santa Fe rental car was very comfortable and high tech. However, this hotel was such a disappointment!! The place was dirty - the walls were dirty, the elevators were dirty, the glass on the doors were dirty, paint was peeling off and looked like it had been peeling off since the Reagan administration. The carpet was filthy. There were ants walking around in the room like they were my uninvited roommates. We stayed for two days and housekeeping did not clean our room. The garbage was piled up in every garbage can we passed. At one point, while I was dealing with the dilemma that I will soon discuss, I saw the front desk guy emptying the garbage. It was just past 9am. I didn't see him wash his hands afterwards. There was a random green tooth pick in the front elevator that never got picked up. I greeted it every time we entered the elevator. It's probably still there. Someone dropped salt packets in the back elevator. They were still there when we were leaving (again see photos). There was a strong smell of weed near the front elevators on the bottom floor. We smelled it again when we got on the top floor where our room was located. We arrived at the hotel at about 2am and as we tried to fall asleep, we could hear people talking through the walls. I guess the hotel walls are just as thin as its cleaning budget. I’ve traveled all over and experienced bad hotels. This was just inexcusable. What has happened to Sheraton hotels? To top it off, I had the most horrendous experience with the front desk. The front desk called me early morning before 7am. I was still in bed when the hotel phone rang so I didn’t answer. Then someone knocked on the door. Again, I did not answer because I thought someone was knocking on the wrong door. A few mins later, I got another call on the hotel phone. I answered and there was a woman on the phone who identified herself as the front desk worker. She said there was something wrong with my credit card and I need to come down to the front desk to pay my bill before leaving. I explained to her that I had paid for the package upfront through Southwest Vacations. She was not swayed. She said the payment to the hotel did not go through. She even insisted that Southwest Vacations was not an affiliate of the hotel and that I would need to bring my credit card down to the front desk to pay. I told I will be right there. I knew we needed to be out for an early breakfast meetup so I decided to take a shower before heading down. Besides my daughter was still asleep and I wanted her to rest. So I got in the shower and brushed my teeth. I had just stepped out of the shower when someone banged on the door, again. But what is going on? It was the same woman from the phone. She was standing there with folded hotel bills covered in yellow highlighter. There is something wrong with your credit card and we need payment before you leave. Well this is getting serious! Do I look like I am leaving dressed in a towel lady? I thought to myself. She kept repeating that there was something wrong with my credit card and she needs me to give her my card so she can go down to the front desk to run the bill. Three important things to note: Firstly, there is nothing wrong with my credit card. I guard my credit. I have alerts, regular FICO checks, the works. I didn't have to check my account but I did anyway. Secondly, I had never seen this random woman woman before in my life. This was all very random. Thirdly, I had handed my credit card at checkin for incidentals and the front desk clerk at the time did not have an issue. So how do I explain this embarrassing situation dealing with a random woman claiming that my credit card was no good for all of the third floor to hear while I stood there in one of the roughest bath towels I have ever encountered. I kept my cool. I was not going to get irate and risk this woman calling the police on me - a black woman alone with her black teenager in a strange town. I told her that I was on my way down once I got some clothes on and again reminded her that I had paid upfront for the hotel room. Still, she was insistent that I give her my credit card as I closed the door. I repeated that I would come down as soon as I got dressed. So I rushed to get clothes on and went down to the front desk. I got there and no one is there. Finally after a few minutes, a young man strolled in and I told him why I was there. I tried to explain the situation and he called the woman who had knocked on my door. I showed them my bill from Southwest Vacations and my credit card statement indicating that I had paid. She insisted that I call my credit card company. I told her there was no need because I have checked my credit card and I have been billed for the amount and that she should call Southwest Vacations. She again iterated that Southwest Vacations was not an affiliate of the hotel and I need to call my credit card company. Now who's problem was that? Definitely not mine! Just to pacify her, I called the credit card company who informed me that yes the amount has been charged to my card and that there was nothing they could do. I relayed the information to the front desk. They insisted that I need to pay. For what? By then it was getting late. My daughter had a breakfast appointment followed by a college tour at UNC-Chapel Hill. I was flustered. I called Southwest Vacations but since it was before 9am I got a recording. I waited until 9am and called again and got a customer representative who transferred me to someone else. Meanwhile, I was so nervous because I was afraid that the front desk people were going to call the police or something. They were watching me and speaking in an Indian language the entire time. It was absolutely embarrassing. In addition, the woman coughed repeatedly so I reached into my purse and got a black mask and put it on. The Southwest Vacations customer service put me on hold while he figured out the problem on his end. My daughter was already late for her appointment so I asked the young man at the front desk (the lady had disappeared by then) for the bill total and I paid it. Again, I didn't want to pay it. I was 100% sure that there was no issue on my end but I needed to leave and I wasn't going to risk someone calling the police on me. Meanwhile, I was still on hold with Southwest Vacations customer service. I texted my daughter and asked her to finish packing up. We were leaving. I got upstairs to my room and to my amazement the woman from the front desk was standing in the hallway near my room. I showed her the receipt and told her I had paid. At this point, she attempted to be nice to me and offered me breakfast. She was insistent. By then she had pulled on a mask that was hanging just over the bottom part of her mouth and she was speaking right up to my face. Back off lady! I informed her I just wanted to get out of the hotel as soon as possible. No I do not want breakfast. No I do not want a free item from the snack shop. I went into the room, closed the door on her, and helped my daughter throw things into our bags. We took the back elevator, past the overflowing garbage cans, said good bye to the abandoned salt packets on the elevator, through the ridiculously smudged glass doors and hightailed out of there. We were probably about 10 mins on our way to UNC when the customer service rep came off hold to tell me that he had called the hotel and worked out the situation. He said I would get a refund of the amount I paid. It did not give me relief. I mumbled and grumbled all the pent up energy that the whole experience had caused then apologized to my daughter. We were both anxious after the episode and had to put music on to calm ourselves. We arrived late for our appointment. When did the quality of Sheraton hotels drop so much? Was it always this bad?

The “Pristine-ish” looks of this hotel will fool you. Mattresses are repulsive. There’s a noise contract. Had we known that this hotel had been bought out, we would not have stayed here! It’s in North Raleigh, close to where we had an event, which was at Wake Tech Northern campus. Front Desk may as well not be there, at all. They do not answer the phone, ever. Sketchy figures were coming out of the Fire Exit as we were coming in with our family our first night there. Two others were outside smoking marijuana right in front of the guest entrance on the left side of the building. The room was decent, however, there were no towels. We tried to get some but to no avail. We ended up purchasing our own from a nearby Target. They continuously knock on your door hours before(9:30am) check-out which is at 12pm. If you happen to be a late sleeper, make certain you place the extra lock on the door. They will enter, as they tried to while two of our children slept on the sofa bed in the living room area. People knocking on your door at all times of the evening as well and jiggling the door handle! What in the human trafficking is going on at this place!!!!! Save your money and stay at the location near PNC Arena!! It’s calm, it’s really nice and it’s owned and operated by Sheraton. Also there is no early check in. Which is not a huge deal for most people. But for us we really need to have that as an option when we travel.

Old and tired hotel that needs an update and cleaning. Third floor smelled of weed. Constant people hanging around outside the back door. It doesn’t seem to be in the nicest neighborhood and there was police presence nearby every day. The only positive was the staff were nice.

Great front desk staff but that’s all that was great. Very old furniture, outdated and nasty. Poor ventilation in room with moldy smell in the halls and room. Very sketchy area, would not recommend parking in the rear (where the majority of the parking is). Based in this experience, I will never be staying at any Sheraton again.

I submitted a complaint immediately after my return home from this hotel and have not received any response from Marriott customer service. Overall, the hotel is very dated, tired and in need of an update. The lobby elevator was not operating and I had to walk to the far end of the hotel to the other elevator or take stairs to my room. The room itself appeared clean, but the furniture was worn and tired. I brought wipes and used them to wipe all surfaces. On my last night I woke to a large cockroach outside my bedroom. I called front desk to have someone come get it and they said no one was available to do so. I put the ice bucket over it. I have travelled to many warm and tropical climates and never had bugs or critters in my room. Lastly, the lock on the balcony door would not lock. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay and would never stay at or recommend this property.

The most horrible customer service we have ever experienced. Their website clearly says they have baby pack and plays. When we asked for the one I reserved they laughed and said we don’t even have those. All elevators were broken and they had the nerve to put a family with three kids on the top floor and again laughed and were extremely rude. When we got up to the room there were no sheets for the pull out couch and conveniently the phone also didn’t work so back down the stairs to get sheets and met with the rudest attitude the manager threw. A Trash can as we walked up to the desk. Others were checking in as well and the attitude and rudeness continued with all the customers. We finally said forget it we will check out, their response? Laughing and “oh we already ran your card, sorry”.

My co-workers and I came into Raleigh on business. We ended up having to stay over. The front desk clerk David was rude at check in. When we got to our room, we found we didn’t have bedding for the pull out. I went to the desk to retrieve the bedding. He gave me 1 pillow. I asked for a 2nd pillow. There were 4 of us. He said they were out of pillows. The parking lot was empty but he claimed it was booked up. I asked him what our 4th was super to do, sleep without a pillow? He responded we could check out if we didn’t like it. This man has no business being around people. The floors in the room are so dirty, my feet turned black walking from the shower to the bed. There’s a balcony but we couldn’t use it. The sliding glass door was off track. I do not recommend this place.
