This is a beautiful hotel. It is sparkling clean in boot the public and private areas. The room included a coffee maker and fridge but no microwave. I assume the lack of s microwave omits the possibility of the burnt popcorn smell. The linens are beautiful and comfortable. There was an adequate amount of well lit free parking. The warm cookies on arrival were awesome. No negatives to this hotel.

Great location. Near the interstate. Adjacent from the Crabtree Mall. Great restaurants nearby. COVID-19 safety precautions in place. If you can, use the Hilton app. The app will allow you to check in online and use the mobile key. You really don’t have to stop by the front desk for anything....except Cookies! ;)

Really loved the location.

No microwave in the room and the one in the lobby wasn’t worth the time. I wished they were still putting the stickers on the doors after cleaning it made me feel just a little more confident that they cleaned it.

All in all enjoyed staying here.

I thought from the pictures it would be a nice hotel but I was wrong. The front desk service was miserable. I called ahead and was told my room would be ready when I arrived. When I got there, it wasn't so I had to leave and come back in an hour they told me it was out of service and placed me in another room. They have placards saying that for "your safety" they will only clean the room by request. I was there 5 nights, asked every day for a cleaning and they did it once. They kept referring to the card and I showed them that it said they would clean the room upon request. They said they would. And they didnt. I would have gone to the Hilton Garden Inn close by but by then rates were prohibited. Ate at the hotel several nights and the food was average. Ordered chicken wings one night and they tried to charge $16 for 5 wing pieces. Two drums and 3 flats. Literally 5 of the smallest wing pieces I've ever seen. I refused to pay. I will say the wait staff in the restaurant was outstanding. That was the only positive at the hotel. Pool closed "due to COVID". However associates were staying at the Hampton Inn 3 miles away where apparently COVID was not an issue and their pool was open. No bottled water in the exercise room. One of the smallest bathrooms I've ever seen and certainly not expected in a Doubletree. Again, absolutely NO REASON to stay there. Apathetic and non responsive management, limited and average food in the restaurant and they wont clean your room or restock your coffee. I might add I'm a Diamond Member and typically stay at least 100 nights each year in all Hilton property types and have stayed in roadside Hampton Inns that were better. Manager said she would credit my account with points to make up for all the inconvenience. I saw today where she credited 5000 points. Really? I think that speaks again to the level of care and concern you'll receive.

Very nice looking hotel with lots of potential but fell short on our visit. I’m a diamond member who stays at Hilton hotels across the country, the front desk staff was rude and not welcoming at all. Once we got to our room it smelled like someone had just smoked a cigarette in it. I immediately went downstairs and asked for a new room, the front desk staff was rude again and asked if they could spray the room to make it smell better. I said no and asked for a new room, after a few minutes she gave us a new room but wasn’t happy about it. The new room was fine except for when I kneeled on the ground and realized someone before us must’ve spilled something and ended up with a stain on my pants. The food and waitstaff at the restaurant were great for breakfast but they only had one chef so it took an hour for us to get our food, wish we would’ve been told earlier it was going to take a while so we could’ve gone somewhere else.

In nearly all places I stay, I receive a follow up request for a survey to let them know about my stay. We did not get one for this stay, so I’m adding to this site. We paid too much for this stay for what we got in return. The room is clean and comfortable, but we had to ask for room to be made for new towels and such. I’m mot sure if their policy is they don’t make rooms unless asked, but they did not do it on their own. The restaurant does not stay open all day; breakfast and dinner only. Breakfast choices are limited. No continental offered. If you want breakfast, you either have to order or go out somewhere. Bar tender was really nice, but clearly being overwhelmed and this was when we were the only people at the bar. He had to work a reception in one of the meeting rooms at the same time. The pantry is almost completely empty. There are more empty shelves than full ones. I had to go to the gas station next door to get chips and snacks. You don’t want to send your wife or daughter there after dark. The sound of traffic is constant throughout the day as the hotel is right next to a very busy interchange. For the money spent here, one would expect more value. Although the room is clean and parking free (good things), the cost is too high for what the hotel delivers. Simple improvements such as stocking the guest pantry and having a little fancier menu (instead of a simple printed page) would help boost the value somewhat.

Best Doubletree I've been to in a while!
Check-in was a breeze. Front desk was super accommodating and got me checked in a bit early. Lobby area was a bit sparse, but renovated and clean. Elevators could probably use a little TLC, but my only real complaint.
Room was big, beds were firm and just to my liking. Decently spacious, with a desk, Keurig machine, and chair. Bathroom was great, shower was massive, and only real shortcoming there was the water pressure being a bit weak.
AC did a good job, but was pretty noisy in the night as it clicked on and off every so often.
Staff at this hotel really went above and beyond to take care of us. Billy the bartender made sure we had everything we needed at the bar, and offered lots of advice on options in the area.
Plenty of parking, and right off 440, pretty great location fairly close to RDU, and the Crabtree Valley Mall right across the street. I'd definitely stay again.

Location: off the loop, easy access to everything. Busy area.

Room: standard Hilton fair. Loud AC, set to a motion thermostat. I’ll never understand this choice. Because at night , when you stop moving while sleeping, the thermostat shuts off the AC or heat. So you need to get up and move around to get it working again. I had to reset mine totally. Cold water from the shower for about 5 minutes before it warmed up. The room felt clean however , beds comfortable.

Service: staff friendly and welcoming.

Hotel and COVID :soccer families obviously in town for a match. Very little social distancing, masks not being worn. Social gathering in the evening of the adults showed almost none of them having any regard for Covid safety. I guess sports outweighs common sense.

Unfortunately, Hilton, like many companies, seems to have a non intervention stance for people who are ignoring safety during the pandemic. They have signs everywhere, but nothing is done to directly address irresponsible behavior. I feel sorry for the staff because they are out in the middle.

It would be nice to see Hilton have the managers directly tell people if they cannot follow the house rules, find another hotel.

We know that’s not happening, so for the rest of us, we will need to avoid staying at these businesses until rational behavior returns.

An ok hotel for the fare they charge. The building/rooms are well maintained but.... No functioning water fountains (none of the 5 I checked) including the one at the gym, broken equipment and closed pool.

Hilton Diamond member? Well. They don't honor the 4 pm late check out and make sure you check your bill because they "forget" to give you the daily $15 food credit.

Ironing table... If you are coming for business and want to iron something better put a towel on top of it .. mine was dirty and ran down

Yes. They have a large space that can be broken up into smaller rooms. There was a church revival meeting going when I arrived. My meeting was about 100 folks and we used only about half of the space. If you call the hotel I'm sure they can give you more information.
