Several room conditions issues. Quiet. But dirty and damaged. Internet sucked. Several TV channels weren’t available. Shower drain was clogged by a MASSIVE wad of hair plus a hair tie. Piece missing from shower hardware Light fixture above bed physically broken Open wall with exposed wires where an electrical device of some kind used to be. Large wall damage that was (poorly) plastered but not painted

Hotel's Favourite
Pros: This hotel was fine. It was a good price, and a good location. The staff were all friendly. The beds and pillows were really comfortable. The shower was wonderful. There was 24 hour free coffee in the lobby. The breakfast had limited options, but what they had was very good, including scrambled eggs and sausages. The AC worked well and could be adjusted. Cons: The room had seen better days. The fridge was inside a wooden cabinet that didn't close properly. The electrical outlets on one wall looked burned around the sides. The bathroom mirror was broken on the corner, and taped back together. The lampshade was cracked. The toilet seat was unstable and made you feel it was going to fall over when you sat on it. The TV was big, but you had to scroll through the channels the old fashioned way without a guide on the remote control. And lastly, I feel compelled to add, the big abstract painting in the room wasn't my favorite design choice. I think they were trying to tie all the colors in the room together by adding them all to a single painting, but I think they could make the room look a lot better with a less chaotic painting. It wasn't working for me. D: Overall, it was a fine stay, and everyone was nice. The hotel delivered in all the ways that really mattered. But it is a budget option, so don't expect anything fancy.

Honestly the worst place I’ve been on the globe! Service was horrible! Mouldy room and aircon was rubbish- yes I tried having a new room but they said full occupancy… Front desk staff ( day) totally rude and unprofessional. Whole place stank carpets, pool, lobby, rooms! Disgusting!

We stayed over in Raleigh for one night and chose the Comfort Inn Mid Town. Check in was done easily with two helpful people helping us at the reception desk. We were appointed to Room 208 which was fine. It was a pretty standard room with 2 comfortable queen sized beds. It had all the normal functional features that you can expect from this quiet, medium, 3 star establishment. Important for us was a desk and enough sockets to plug in all the electronic devices that you carry about with you when on the road nowadays. The free WiFi worked well. As normal, it seems, there was a flat screen TV, fridge, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities. In the well appointed bathroom the shower was in the bath tub. We enjoyed free parking. A free breakfast was included in the room rate but we didn't make much use of it as the choice was relatively "modest". All good.

Spent two nights here (June 9 & 10) and let me just say that the staff here are EXCELLENT. Very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The hotel itself is very clean but dated , some of the furniture and decor has seen better days. We asked for a room service cleaning during our stay and our room was fully made up with lots of extra towel ect- thank you! Pool area is very clean with lots of seating. Breakfast had enough to offer and was plentiful and replenished often, the entire breakfast area was kept very clean. Close to shops and some restaurants but an easy drive to the downtown social district. Would stay there again simply based on the staff !

Everything was great until...... My wife and I checked in Thursday for 3 nights. Upon check in, we were taken care of by Maria. Very sweet, attentive and had us on our way in no time. Thursday night was fine. Got up and went about our business Friday morning. Came back to the hotel Friday evening, head to the room and fell asleep quick. Then came Saturday morning. My wife is disabled, and we were on the 5th floor. We got to the elevator and waited about 4 or 5 minutes, and nothing happened. I called the front desk from my personal phone (the phone in our room wasn't hooked up) Was unfortunate to get a front desk person by the name of Kwamel. Very unprofessional individual. I asked if there was a problem with the elevators. He said yes, there were not working. I asked him how we were supposed to get downstairs. He directed me to where the stairs were. I advised him that my wife is disabled and not able to walk down 5 flights of stairs. In his own charming way, he had no other answer for me. I hung up and had to help my disabled wife down 5 flights of stairs with her walker and our cooler for the day. Took us about 25 minutes to get to the bottom as my wife had to take one step at a time holding on the guard rail with both hands. I had to stand under her so she wouldn't slip and fall. When I got to the front desk, I inquired how long they would be out. My wife and I were going to be at a convention all day but obviously needed them working before we got back later that night. Mr. Personality had no idea. I inquired what we were supposed to do if we get back and they are still not working as there was NO WAY my wife could WALK up 5 flights. He was very unsympathetic and showed no compassion whatsoever. There was another rep behind the desk. She kept quiet for a while which was probably better for her. She finally asked me to come to her. She looked in her computer and long story short, if they were not fixed by the time we got back we had a room on the 1st floor waiting for us. I would just need to clear everything out of our current room which of course I would. That reps name was Karen. She was very nice, polite and showed an interest in helping us. Kwamel showed NO SIGNS to help. He just stood there with his shirt untucked and looked like it had been slept in. Instead of being part of the solution he kept telling me no. Wonder if he would have felt the same way if it was his mom or his grandma that was disabled and had to walk down 5 flights of stairs. I called Karen later in the day and was told they got 1 side working but the other wouldn't be looked at until Tuesday (holiday weekend) I am very surprised they wouldn't have someone on call 24 hours a day in case something like this happens. Doesn't say much about how much they care about their guests. Got back to the hotel at around 8PM. We were greeted by Daniel. We told him what took place that morning. He was VERY apologetic and showed much sympathy. Kwamel should really take some notes from his coworkers on how to treat guests. 1 elevator was working, and we got to our room. Luckily, the next morning it was still operating. We checked out with surprisingly the girl that checked us in Maria. We explained what happened and she informed me that she read the notes on the account. She got my number and told me that the manager Regenia would be calling me. It's now Thursday afternoon and no call. It's fine. They credited us $200+ on the room, which is fine, but I would have liked to tell management what happened and how we will NOT be back due to employee Kwamel. There are A LOT of hotels in the area, and I will look elsewhere when we return which is in about 6 weeks. Very sad that 1 uninformed, uneducated person can lose a huge company business. I shall be telling this story to all my associates who also book hotels often. Kudos to Maria, Karen & Daniel. They took the time. They showed that they cared. Not too much to ask for in my opinion

Pros: not far from shops, restaurants; about 20 minutes or so from the Raleigh-Durham airport. Anyone going to the Ritz for a concert/event would appreciate the location of the hotel. Free parking and free breakfast - always a plus for me Staff was pleasant Cons: The room itself was average - nothing special, a bit outdated. One of the elevators was out of order. The hallway carpet was dirty (but the hotel made it clear that the carpet would be getting changed out at some point)

I must express my utter most disappointment with th Comfort Inn Raleigh NC. Midtown. Back in January, just last month my mother and I booked her hotel stay here for the weekend of Thursday, February 16th -Sunday, February 19th. We received her confirmation and were all set for her to stay here while she attended the 2023 American Legion Mid Winter Conference. My mother who is an ACTIVE senior member of the American legion along with myself and basically my entire family was anxiously looking forward to this conference which she made plans way in advance to attend. Although my mother is a resident of Durham NC which is a few towns over, she decided to select this hotel out of all others hotels based on a recommendation of a friend. Being this event was a weekend conference, some of the workshops ended late, eager to attend every event, she decided to stay close by as she does not do well driving at night. She received her email confirmation from the hotel back in January and was excited and ready to support her Veterans as she’s done all of these years in the Legion. To hers and my extreme disappointment, the hotel called her about 1:30pm the day of check in as she was heading to the hotel to inform her that her reservation was cancelled because they did not accommodate anyone living within a 30 mile radius of the facility. Again this was within a few hours of check in. Needless to say my Mother missed her conference this weekend and this hotel had the nerve to send her a cancellation email as of she is the one who cancelled. If this is their policy I believe making a phone call like this 2 hours before check in is extremely unacceptable. My mother is a senior who loves supporting her American veterans and this weekend was a BIG DEAL that was ruined by this hotel. Shame on you Comfort Inn Raleigh! I hope anyone living in a 30 mile radius of this hotel reads this review before giving this place your business.

The location is fine. The room was fairly comfortable and large. The room needed better upkeep. There were scuffs on the walls and a big spot on the bathroom ceiling that looked like mold due to a water leak above. The "artwork" was weirdly arranged. And, the microwave wasn't plugged in due to the cord not even reaching the outlet. As far as breakfast goes, the selection was sparse and inconsistent. This shouldn't be hard to get right.

I stayed at this property a few weeks ago. A few days after my departure I learned they charged my for having smoked in my room. I don't smoke and no smoker entered this room during my stay. Manager was rude and stuck to their story, refusing to refund the $250 charge. Corporate entity refused to do anything either. Stay way from this place. They will scam you!
