Nice hotel. Within walking distance of Red Hat Amphitheater, and next to Raleigh Beer Garden. (There us also a dueling piano bar across the street.)

If you're looking at going to a concert at Red Hat, this is a great place to stay. Hit the beer garden before the concert, walk to the concert, walk back and go to the beer garden again or the piano bar and never have to drive or call a Uber. There's also Crank Arm and Clouds brewing on your walk to the Amphitheater if you get thirsty during your walk 😊

Came to Raleigh for another business trip. Had not previously stayed in this hotel, but in others not too far away. Found the staff, the rooms and location to be perfect. The staff at the reception desk, did raise concern that there might be some noise at night, given it's location and proximity to some bars. But made it clear they have white noise machines and ear plugs avaliable should they be needed. Had no issues at all with noise, but again it was February.
The hotel itself was very clean adn within just a short walking distance to the downtown area. The walk takes you through a nice safe residential area, so had no concerns about the short walk. Well worth staying here, especially for the price and friendly service.

This location is in a very noisy area. Be prepared to hear music, loud vehicles, and loud voices until about 3am. If you are not capable of quickly loading and unloading your car on a steep hill and parking in a deck across the street chose another location.

This was the worst hotel stay EVER because of the location and constant ALL night music from the neighboring restaurant/club.? This particular Hampton Inn & Suites (600 Glenwood Dr) should inform you of this before you book. Instead when I checked in on Friday night, I was told by staff that earplugs and some sort of noise cancellation device is included with every room due to music from the restaurant behind the hotel. The problem with that is I was stuck with this hotel bc 1) I had to book through a "stay-and-play" with THS due to my child competing in the All Star Cheer Challenge
and 2) the cancellation deadline had passed since 1/28/2020. We were in rooms 619 & 621. Friday night the music wasn't as loud and I'm assuming that was due to the heavy rain, but Saturday night was horrible/miserable. I'm an avid Hilton brand customer so much so I have the Hilton Honors Business AMEX card due to my frequent/monthly stays. With that being said, I feel I spent entirely TOO much money ($833 to be exact for both rooms) to have not gotten ANY sleep for my entire stay nor was I compensated for ANY of my troubles. Hilton, you all need to do much better with this location. This is totally UNACCEPTABLE.

Our central location is quite convenient, making us the recommended choice for championships and tournaments. Aside from our close proximity to the event space, we are bordered by a wide range of restaurants. When staying at this meticulously maintained property, you will be guaranteed impeccable guest services, perfectly detailed accommodations and an expansive, delicious breakfast. Due to the noise disturbances that you experienced on Saturday night, our guests are supplied with a noise cancelling machine as well as complimentary ear plugs. Our guests do report that this is quite an effective solution. We acknowledge that varying sensitivities to noise exist and unfortunately you were not able to achieve the relaxing experience you certainly deserve. We apologize sincerely for this. Unless you intend to hand at the college bar below until it closes, avoid this hotel. They give you earplugs at checkin and tell you if it gets too bad they will provide a white noise machine. Bass from club easily heard and felt on top floor (6th)...unreal

Too bad because hotel itself is nice.

At our at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Raleigh, we pride ourselves on delivering a memorable experience to our guests, and I am delighted you enjoyed our central location and were looked after by my exceptional colleagues! Being in an ideal part of the city, we do have some sounds included with the territory and understand everyone has different sensitivities to noise. As one of the many touches to ensure guest satisfaction, we do provide ear plugs and earbuds. We do attract very many business travelers. We’ve been told that after a day of meetings, the extremely convenient close proximity of dining and beverage establishments coupled with the effectiveness of the complementary ear plugs make for very successful business trips. Not to mention the expediency of our delicious breakfast. Nonetheless, I apologize that our property did not provide the respite you were seeking. No matter where you stay, you should always feel comfortable and relaxed. We are constantly improving our offerings and services and still hope you'll try us in the future.

The hotel is very nice, but our room was dirty. The staff at the desk at 11pm when we checked in were friendly and welcoming. We were only staying there overnight as a stop on our way to vacation in South Carolina. There was my husband and I and our 3 adult children. We asked for a rollaway bed, as the room technically only sleeps 4. We waited until midnight for the bed even though I’d asked for it at the time of booking AND while texting Josh at the front desk while we were still driving, and again at check-in. My husband and I were meeting a friend who was preforming at Tin Roof while our children stayed behind. Upon arriving in the room, we noticed there was a random sock on the middle of the room. On further inspection, there were discarded rose petals under the bed as well as an oatmeal crème pie (?!?) under there. There was also popcorn on the windowsill. By 11PM on the day of check-in, I’d expect the room to be clean, not like someone had just used it an hour before. (The rose petals were still fresh!!!) It made me wonder if the sheets were even clean! (Yuck) The area where the hotel is is loud, but we expected that. We paid over $300 to stay there for less than 8 hours. We were not offered a different room or even a reduced rate or refund for having to sleep in a dirty room. We alerted the desk staff on our way out of the hotel to go meet our friend. I realize the staff has their hands tied when it comes to these things, but corporate should refund some, if not all of the room fee for putting us in a dirty room.

This hotel was booked a month in advance and confirmed with a credit card. Upon arival, room was not available. Accomodations were made after much stress. Upon check out, they overcharged us for our room rates and we even expressed this during check out. It took one week to be refunded the overcharge.

Clean, room size is fine for a weekend stay, and staff was efficient and attentive. The location is convenient to restaurants and bars BUT it is in the middle of a very busy nightlife. You are warned at check-in about the noise (up until 3AM). They offer ear plugs and a sound machine, but you will either need noise cancelling headphones or be ready to pass out! Apparently when the bars close, the party moves to the street and engine “reving” begins. If this is your jam and you can sleep in, this is a great spot for you!!

Loved my stay! The manager, Josh, not only helped me pick a perfect close place for dinner but even walked me there after I mentioned that I hate walking alone at dark. This is true caring about your guests! Wine reception is always a favorite and the breakfast was hot and plentiful. Will be back!

Despite telling the staff multiple times that we did not have a car, we were charged for parking. Called to correct this and was told that a refund would take 3-5 days and that we could not get any sort of confirmation of the refund (like an email).

As others have noted, noise is an issue, and there was a sign at the front desk offering ear plugs and sound machines on request. Requested a sound machine and was told the room was "on the quiet side".
