Property appeared newer and appealing. Staff unprofessional and uncaring overall. Breakfast foods dry and overcooked. Biggest problem was 2 cockroaches that I found scurrying on the bathroom counter in the morning. I bright this to the attention of front desk and was told that “this is North Carolina and will happen.” A very poor response in my opinion.

Holiday Inn Express hotels have yet to disappoint me. Always clean, spacious, not too flashy, friendly staff, and affordable! Didn't care for the location much, because it was kind of far from some places, but if you like a quiet calm area, this hotel would be right for you.

( I ) really enjoyed my stay at this location,this was my 1st time visiting RALEIGH, from the time the hotel's shuttle ( Ms.KESHIA) picked me up. Ms.Keshia, was very nice & professional,she honored my request & acknowledged that I'm an IHG, member. General Manager, Ms.AZU, went out her way to assist me & was "extremely" professional,courtesy, &customer friendly. As, a result of these (2) individuals i reserved a second night at this locations. ( I ) just wished that the "breakfast" preparation & variety, were better. Other than that my stay was very comfortable. Thank-You!!!!!!f for the RELAXING, stay.

The only reason we booked this location was for the airport shuttle that is advertised on their web page. We needed a shuttle at 3:30am to the airport. We called the morning of our arrival and were told to just ask at the desk for the Shuttle. When we arrived we were told that the Shuttle was not available! There were no apologies, just, didn't you see it on the web page. No, we did not and were not told on the phone when we called. We stayed there last night and I just looked this morning and the web page says nothing about the shuttle to the airport not being available. I had to get up at 3:30am to take my son-in-law to the airport. If that weren't bad enough, we hardly got any sleep because a group of drunk men were outside our bedroom window at an outdoor lounge area from 11pm till midnight shouting and laughing loudly. Is drinking allowed on hotel property? We finally called the front desk and the noise lessened but not completely. Our room was nice, very clean and the beds were comfortable but in my mind there is no excuse for a hotel who is a 10 minute drive from the airport and advertises a shuttle to not have one.

Hotel uses covid excuses to provide sub par service. They tell you to request room service. Then when it is requested, they tell you it has to be requested the day before. Outside trash dumpsters emptied at 2 AM waking up guests. Breakfast service with only spoons. No forks/knives. Cheap coffee cups that burn hands while taking to room.

In short, this will be a one-and-done property for me. My score is based on my overall experience at this property, and not what I believe this property could possibly be rated with better cleaning and room assignment. For starters, the outside of the property was clean and had adequate parking. The front desk person was friendly, but she had a child there who came out of the back room with his backpack on and the two of them carried on a conversation while she checked other guests in... very unprofessional and not the experience I expect to be greeted with when I come to a hotel. I had reserved a standard king room. I was apparently assigned a handicap accessible room (334) and this was not mentioned to me when I checked in. Upon arriving in my room and discovering this, I went downstairs to request a change. I was told she had no other rooms as the property was 100% occupied that night. Around 11pm while passing the front desk, I found out she had lied to me when I overheard a woman asking if they had any rooms available and the same front desk person said "Yes, how many do you need?" This 100% occupancy was also the reason she stated management told her "absolutely no late check-outs," even for Platinum Elite members. With my status, I've never been turned down for a late check out at an IHG property before, even at properties that were fully occupied, but fine. On to the room: the positives I can say about the room are that it was spacious (probably because it's an accessible room) and the AC unit was quiet while keeping the room a very constant and comfortable temperature. Negatives abound from here. First, we couldn't raise the shades because they are electronic and remote-controlled, but the remote did not work and there is no manual override, so this was a very dark and depressing stay from the onset. Secondly, the thermostat was stuck in Celsius and the F/C button did nothing, so I had to convert from Celsius to Fahrenheit to know what temperature I was setting. Third, the bathroom itself, being accessible, and me not being in need of that, was quite unpleasant to use. Water goes out in the floor when showering because there is nothing to retain it other than a curtain which is the same size used for the shower tubs, but should at least be one that goes to the floor. The bathroom also has a barn-door style door instead of a traditional one, so any real privacy is non-existent. Fourth and Fifth (and this is the biggie), there was some sort of dried red stain on the light switch that I immediately sprayed with a disinfectant and cleaned off. I wish I had taken a picture first because I am certain it was blood as I found a similar stain on the duvet cover. Both stains spread and turned brown when hit with a disinfectant. I did take a photo of the duvet stain after I had already sprayed it and have included with this review. The same front-desk person was apologetic when I brought this to her attention and provided me new bedding. Unfortunately, I had mistakenly thought it was just the top sheet so that is all I requested from her. When we got back upstairs and discovered it was actually the duvet cover, I was in no mood to go back down and make another request, so I just pulled it back and attempted to make my own duvet cover from the spare top sheet she provided me. Honestly, I just wanted to get to sleep so I could wake-up and end my stay at this property. It was just one thing after another, and while most of them may sound like little things, when you add them all together, it equates to a pretty lousy stay and, thus, the reason that I will not recommend nor will I stay at this property again in the future.

I booked a room at this hotel on July 16th for a stay on July 30th. I booked directly through the IHG Website (not a third party app) for a 2 queen suite, but when we arrived I was told they had overbooked and they could only provide us with a king sized bed which was not a suitable fit for our family with 2 grown children traveling with us. After numerous go arounds, they told us they would cancel our room and refund our stay, and we were forced to scramble and find another room at 10:30PM on a Friday evening. Now 2 weeks later, I have yet to be reimbursed for my stay. I have contacted their hotel directly twice, only to be treated extremely rudely by their management. It was definitely a sour ending to what had been a great trip for our family. I am an IHG Rewards member, and I have dealt with their direct line for hours in regards to this stay, and no one has been able to be any help. Such a disappointment!

We had an excellent experience here. We got in super late at night from Miami due to an American Airlines schedule change. The airport shuttle picked us up almost immediately just before midnight and took us to the hotel where we received an extremely warm welcome. The room was great - everything was clean, masks were optional, the room was terrific and breakfast the next morning was extremely good. The shuttle bus took us back to the airport the next day to pick up our rental car and actually dropped us off right at Budget instead of at the airport to make life easier for us both. Since my husband has a bad back and schlepping the cases was difficult for us, we greatly appreciated the extra attention to detail and helpfulness of everybody at the hotel, especially the gentleman at the front desk and the shuttle bus driver. High marks all around and would definitely stay here again!

This property is very poorly managed. They list free airport transportation as one of their amenities. Called 14 days ahead to verify that their airport shuttle was available. The person at the desk checked with her manager and reported that the shuttle would be available. Called the desk from my room to find what time the shuttle would be leaving the next morning. The disk clerk told me that the shuttle was not available, and had not been available for months. She asked for the name of the person I had talked to two weeks before. When I told her I did not have the name, she treated my predicament as unimportant. (The call was made on 6/5 at 11:05am but she was not interested in that). I asked to speak with a manager. She told me she would call the manager. I asked that the manager call me. She said the manager would. Never heard from anyone after that. Other things were not handled correctly. They give you a card at check-in to fill out to determine what supplies and cleaning you want in the room for a multi-day stay. Filled out the card. None of the promised services were done. On check-in they hit you with a credit card charge of an additional $25 (over and above the prepaid room charges), for "miscellaneous items". If you don't need any extras, they say the money will be returned in a couple of days. Not what you expect from a quality hotel. Overall, a very bad experience. I am an IHG Rewards member, but I will not be using any IHG hotels again.

Easy to find, and two blocks away is gas; fast food, and grocery store. No breakfast was being serviced but they provided a breakfast to go for you and you filled out a selection to get what you prefer. Friendly staff and room was spotless. Comfortable mattress. Air conditioner worked great and was quiet. TV is large and easy to run. We had a nice microwave and refrig. The bathroom was very large and clean. The room was very relaxing and no noise. Hard to believe we were even near an airport. I will return to this hotel again. Highly recommend it.
