Really unpleasant experience. Stayed 5 days between Xmas and New Years for a family event. Suite with kitchen smelled strongly of roach spray. When we checked in there were seemingly zero dishes. Found out two days later there were some, every single bit that n the dishwasher. We tried to get a different room but the holidays made that impossible. Only tepid water in the shower in the evening despite a visit from the handyman. Zero service to the room even though we got a text on day 4 asking if we needed anything and all we wanted was fresh towels and the garbage emptied (we took out our garbage twice because nobody else did). View of a debris strewn vacant lot. And paid premium holiday prices. Some apparent staff person was carrying a gun in the lobby while chatting to front desk. Overall super super creepy and gross and awful. Never again.

Hotel's Favourite
Good location when staying PNC arena events although it’s a bit confusing getting back to the motel after the game. (BTW, basic parking about a half mile away at PNC was $30!) We don’t stay often at chain motels, but I’d say this was on the nicer end of the Hampton Inns. All the staff were friendly, and one of the kitchen staff went out of their way for me, which is much appreciated. Also a plus was that the back side of the motel is boarded by a small wooded area and creek, pleasant to look at and no noise from outside. Good sized bathroom but I did find two hairs in the tub! Everything else was clean (and the tub was clean), so it’s enough to drop a point off the rating but is probably an unusual circumstance. Room was done in yellows and browns, ugly to me, but that’s in part because those colors are from the 70s. The place was packed but nevertheless quiet. Other amenities/notes: 1. Appreciated ESPN at breakfast, not news. 2. They have a guest laundry, decent sized lobby/sitting area, small hallway “business center” if you need something printed out. Also 24 hour tea and coffee (and real Twinings tea-thank you!), cookies in the afternoon along with dog biscuits, so this must be pet friendly. 3. King room has a couch, desk, real closet, some roomy drawers for clothes, comfortable office chair, well designed lighting, microwave and fridge. Large full length mirror doubles as closet door. Overall a good stay.

Nice hotel with good sized room and bathroom, comfortable beds, small fridge and microwave in thr room. Nice lobby and breakfast. Only reason not rated higher is thin walls between rooms. Great soundproofing from outside noise but internally you can hear a lot, especially the bathrooms. People did respect quiet hours from about 2200/2230 until about 0630.

We had a fantastic experience at this Hampton Inn. They were accommodating and friendly. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was clean and well decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. Their public spaces are inviting. The staff just seem happy and so willing to help you. Hampton Inns are known for this quality. We will be back.

Right away pulling up we knew this was a unique Hampton Inn with the old British phone booth in front. The front desk person was very friendly and gracious that I was a Diamond Member. There were fun sayings at the front desk (I wanted to look more but it was very late so I just wanted to get to my room). The room had some fun perks like mints with a friendly message and a little toy bear. It was nice and thoughtful for families or people who are just one the road a lot. Room was comfortable. If I'm ever in the area again I will for sure stay at this property again.

I had a long weekend in Raleigh and found the Hampton Inn located near PNC arena most convenient for my plans. I have stayed at Hampton properties many times in the past and am almost always pleased with the experience. This one was no exception. Although a bit isolated in location with nothing nearby in terms of restaurants, I found the hotel to be extremely clean and the staff friendly and welcoming. Check in was accomplished within no more than a couple of minutes at the front desk. My room was comfortable, with a king size bed, tub/shower, desk, and sofa. The noise level in the hotel was extremely low, despite what appeared to be high occupancy. That helped to ensure a good night's sleep. As is normal with Hampton, there is a complimentary breakfast buffet off of the lobby. Nothing fancy, but there is a big enough selection of hot and cold choices, juices, and coffee. I took advantage of the breakfast on both mornings and was content. My understanding is that Hilton, Hampton's owner, no longer cleans guest rooms everyday unless requested. I did not notice and information as to whether or not Hampton follows this policy, but my room was not cleaned during my brief, 2 night stay. It was not an inconvenience, I had everything I needed, but I also was not aware that the room would not otherwise have been cleaned during my stay. If that is the policy, it does need to be communicated better. I checked out using the Hilton app, which can also act as a virtual room key, a wayfinder, and an easy way to find informaton. All in all, a good visit. My thanks to this Hampton property and their team.
