Worst experience of my 60+ years of travel. Beyond dirty, drunks with liquor bottles walking the halls, ceiling tiles missing in every hall...... The staff was kind enough to refund my stay. We decided to pack up and leave to find other accommodations at 1 am. I would advise everyone to stay away from the hotel.
This hotel cost is comparable to what it offers. It is close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel is in need of updates, yet it is still comfortable. Overall I would stay at this location again, it is quiet for the most part. The breakfast is a good variety.
I have stayed at this LaQuinta in the past, and found it more than adequate. This time (September 2022) It was dirty, elevator not working (and was told it had not been for months), outside key access did not work ,on 2 occasions none of the room door keys worked. Reeked of pot smoke across entire 1st floor and suspicious that non-paying guests were flopping in some of the unoccupied spaces. flying bugs in the bathroom.
Horrible experience. Dirty property. Hardly any staff. Desk was often not staffed. No coffee during peak hours. It was very loud. My refrigerator was not working and full of fruit flies. Many outlets in my room didn’t work
Not a typical LaQuinta experience. Dirty and unsafe staff was not helpful and not friendly. I usually can depend on this chain but will now do more research when booking a hotel for travel. The outside was beautiful but as soon as you walk in you are disappointed until you leave.
We have stayed here before and it has always been excellent, unfortunately it wasn't this time. We travel with a large dog we fostered who can get reactive around other dogs so always get a room by the door for easy exit and entry. She has hip dysplasia and her back legs have gotten weak so we can't do stairs and elevators can be a challenge because we don't know if a dog will be in them or outside when the door opens. Every time we've stayed before our request for a room by the door has been honored. My husband called three times to confirm we would get what we needed. Initially we were given a room on the third floor. He went back and complained and we got a room on the second floor not too far from the elevator. If it was only one night it wouldn't be bad but we stayed a few. If that wasn't bad enough the AC did not work well at all, felt like the room was about 80 degrees with it set on 60 and the fan on high. We were uncomfortable and my long haired German shepherd had a very hard time with it. We didn't ask for another room because we were concerned about being farther from the exit.…
Disinterested staff, long faces, run down hotel with many stained and broken items in rooms. musty smells to rugs. Hallways and common rooms needing good cleaning. La Quinta should be embarrassed by the state of this hotel as certainly not up to their usual standards. It is a shame as one comes to expect a certain quality in these properties. Will not be back to this location.
Our son began attending NC State in 2018. When we visited him, we would stay at the La Quinta Crabtree and they were very enjoyable times at this hotel. However, the last time we stayed there, 8/6/22, will be our last time staying there. Here is why. Upon arrival, as I entered the lobby, I saw the woman at the front desk walk out of the lobby area, go outside, look back at me, and sit down and talk on the phone. After about five minutes, she reentered the lobby, walked around for a while, then finally hung up the phone and got me a room. Upon entering the room, my son found a roach on the wall behind the microwave that I had to kill. Upon turning the tv on, we soon realized none of the channels could be reached. I called the front desk numerous times and a person finally came up, took the remote, and left. I finally had to go downstairs after 30 minutes and retrieve the remote that still didn’t work right. My wife went out about 7:00pm to go to the store, but the buttons on the elevator door would not light up. She had to find an alternative. In the bathroom, the toilet would have to be flushed multiple times in order for water to go down. Upon getting up in the morning to load the car, again the elevator buttons did not work. After leaving the hotel to load the car, I tried to renter the hotel from the rear. My key would not light the key holder. I tried again but it didn’t work, so I pulled on the door and it opened. Apparently, the rear door to the hotel did not lock. Normally we would stay at the hotel till 12:00pm, but because of the deplorable conditions we decided to leave around 8:00am. This was the most horrific stay I have experienced at this La Quinta Crabtree and, although I won’t return, these deficiencies need to be addressed.…
Unlike most LQ properties, the decor and finishes in this hotel are dated and drab. This hotel is not up to par with what we have come to expect from LQ. The guestroom decor was drab and depressing. The showerhead in the bathroom was wrapped in electrical tape for some reason. Not a top notch experience.
The hotel is conveniently located and has a serviceable breakfast. That's where the positives end. The beds are not supportive, and the pillows need to be replaced. Any power outlets that were somewhat conveniently located did not work and must be replaced. The shower rod was installed incorrectly, so the curtain continually pulled away from the walls, allowing water onto the bathroom floor. There was barely any water pressure, so the shower head was unable to spray. It was a challenge to get wet, let alone rinse off. There were numerous occasions on which dogs "did their duty" on the floors and the owners did not pick up. Maintenance/housekeeping do not respond quickly to these calls, and on one occasion a pile of dog feces was left on the lobby floor for 45 minutes. The sun total of these problems speaks to the inability of management to control their staff. I will not be returning to this property under any normal circumstances.…
