Smelled really musty and the bed was horrible. We were only in the room 25 minutes and checked out. They charged us $73 for the 25 minutes. My husband is a cancer patient with a feeding tube and we needed a comfortable room. Staff and manager didn't care about our problem.
This is a very comfortable hotel that is only a couple minutes from the airport with a convenient gas station next door. I highly recommend it. I slept really well. Everything looks shiny and new. The staffing was competent and the breakfast area is open and bright. Shuttle service is available.
We stayed at the Hampton Inn RDU for one night after having been to a concert at the Durham Performing Arts Center. The hotel experience was perfect: The hotel is immaculate. All staff members were welcoming and professional. The breakfast was excellent. Two thumbs up!! Excellent value.
I stayed here last night after a late flight, not wanting to drive the two hours home, and was very depressed seeing the dirty carpet and peeling wallpaper in the halls. I'm a Hilton Diamond member and have stayed in many Hamptons around the country - this may be the worst as far as upkeep goes. The owner needs to invest in basic improvements to keep it up to Hilton standards. It has more of a cheap motel vibe. Every staff member I encountered was helpful and pleasant and doing their best.
Front desk staff was very friendly. The complimentary breakfast offered delicious items I’d never seen at a Hampton Inn. It was delicious and fresh all the way until closing. It wasn’t crowded. All around wonderful stay! I’d highly recommend!
My family and I recently booked a two-night stay at the Hampton Inn Raleigh-Durham Airport hotel in Morrisville, NC. We chose the Hampton Inn because of its positive reviews on TripAdvisor and its proximity to the airport. It provides hotel shuttle service to the airport from 4AM to 1AM the next day. We had a late arrival planned for our first night and early departure for the last night of our stay. When choosing hotels we prefer to use Hilton Hotels properties and usually book a Hampton Inn and Suites, Embassy Suites, or Homewood Suites which are roomier and usually have on-site restaurants. But we compromised on this trip with the Hampton Inn, which is smaller and cheaper. In this case, the closest Hilton property is to the airport. We elected to bypass renting a car to use Uber to travel to our destination in downtown Raleigh and use online food delivery to the hotel for lunch and dinner. The hotel offers the option of dining out at a few restaurants within walking distance (Texas Roadhouse, Waffle House, Bojangles, Hooters, etc.). When we arrived at Raleigh airport, we called the front desk to request airport shuttle pickup and was surprised that they were sending a white paneled van from the Holiday Inn. Apparently they share shuttle service and their parking lot with a Holiday Inn Express. The hotel was small as expected, but well equipped. The front desk foyer was attractive. It had a business center consisting of two computers and a printer on a desk in the foyer's corner. Its self serve breakfast center was around the corner from the front desk. A small fitness center consisting of a few treadmills and an exercise bench. There was also a self-serve snack/food center next to the front desk where guests can buy candy bars, soda, water, ice cream; and frozen TV dinners, pizza and sandwiches. We were given two free bottles of water upon checking in. There were three adults in our party. We booked a room with double Queen-size beds. There was a small frig, microwave, TV set and business desk. We could activate Digital key on the Hilton Honors app on my cell phone to open the front door of the room. The complimentary breakfast was better than we expected. They offered hot trays of cheese omelets, sliced sausages and potatoes that were quite tasty. They provided muffins, fruit cocktails, cereal, yogurt and fruit (apples, oranges and bananas). They also offered make-your-own waffles and toast. To drink there was coffee, tea, orange juice and apple juice. Besides breakfast in the morning there was also a bowl of fruit (apple, oranges and banana) available throughout the day for guests on a table in the foyer. Our stay would have been perfect if it were not for two issues. 1) This was not a business trip but we needed to use the business center to print out boarding passes for our return flight home. While the business center was adequate for small projects. One of the two computers was not working. The one that did work had a flaky internet. It would freeze up and there were long wait times between keyboard responses. After struggling to get my boarding passes on the computer to be printed, I discovered the printer was not working. I asked the front desk for help and he gave me his company email so he could print it out with the front desk printer. Great. But when I returned to the computer to email my file, the computer internet completely froze up. So I gave up and sent the file from my cell phone, bypassing the business center completely. This experience was frustrating. I am glad I was not there for business. 2) The other issue we encountered, was after returning from breakfast the next morning the two plastic key cards for our room stopped working. I found my Hilton Honors app Digital key still worked, but I had to go to the front desk to have them reissue my room keys. Except for these issues it was a very convenient and comfortable stay. I appreciate the help from the front desk to print the boarding passes. Found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful.…
I am a Diamond member and stayed at many Hilton property's all over the world and I want to mention one important positive comment the television selections were fabulous being able to watch channels like BBC, Newsmax etc and great movie stations, did not ever want to leave the room! I would like to thank your general manager MS Maxine Lewis for hiring superb employees and now I would like to thank and mention some of them Front desk ,Latoya, MR Patel, MS Gwen, Breakfast server MS Dee Dee , Housekeeping, MS Laura, MS Flora, And Having a 24HR shuttle available and great drivers like MR UK, and MR Joe makes all the difference. In conclusion this Hampton feels like family!
We loved their convenient and quiet location, the friendly staff and the complimentary breakfast. The gym is very basic but does the job. Would highly recommend this place if needing to stay near RDU!
I had a very brief stay arriving at midnight and leaving at noon the next day. Wasn't the warmest welcome (and it was also midnight) but the room was clean and quiet (quiet strip under the door) and quite spacious even if as others have noted, it is a bit dated. Breakfast - Standard Hampton Inn quality. Large lobby and eating area. Plenty of space to spread out. No complaints and I would be happy to return. The airport shuttle was there quickly as soon as I called the hotel. Though contactless check in was available via the Hilton app, Hilton's Clean Stay seemed less obvious. No stickers on doors or wrapped tv remote controls anymore - but perhaps this had more to do with being in NC.
I stayed here for the airport shuttle. The rooms could be updated, they were a bit outdated, the lobby looked like it had been updated. I had no problem w/my stay. They had a bit of a small breakfast for guests. The gym was alright. The treadmills worked. There's a Wendy's and a gas station nearby so that was nice.
