Detailed Reviews
We stayed mid-week in the Evergreen suite, which was incredibly large and spacious. The gift of wine and smore's kids was a nice surprise.
The front desk provided pleasant and efficient service. I was able to ask questions and for housekeeping via email, which was responded to within a few hours. Having a text-based communications service would be even better.
Though there didn't seem to be many guests, there were large corporate groups on the various days of our stay. Wasn't a huge issue for us but they took over the restaurant one night and the rec room another, which made us feel a bit out of place. No one kicked us out, but they did warn us about the large group and had we decided to use those facilities at the same time, it would have been very awkward as those groups had hosted bars/food tables. So essentially if you stay as a guest at the same time as these groups, you probably wouldn't use those amenities.
Noise was an issue in our suite: there was a strange mechanical sound in one of the AC units, so I couldn't sleep well without using earplugs. And one night someone was moving furniture from about 10pm-midnight -- literally dragging furniture around for two hours! I was so thankful when it finally ended just after midnight.
The property itself is beautiful, with many outdoors areas to explore. We particularly enjoyed the pickleball, bocce, horseshoe, and the rec room with the shuffleboard, arcade games, and pool table.
Wish the food options onsite were better (terrible reviews!) but lots of cute cafes and diners nearby. Would recommend Fellow Coffee for their baked goods, and Day June for their service and pancakes. Chicken Run was also a fun night!

We had a lovely 1 night stay at the Wylder and highly recommended it for a relaxing Catskills getaway or ski trip.
The rooms were just as beautiful as they look in the pictures. Such great design. We had a private balcony overlooking the pool (and a road that wasn’t busy, but sometimes cars were a bit loud. We didn’t hear this from inside though) We were in the main lodge I think it’s called.
The king bed was very very comfortable. Bathroom was spotless. Robes were luxurious.
The main hotel area where we stayed has a gorgeous lobby/sitting room with a fireplace and next door is the delicious restaurant/bar. (The chicken and biscuit dish was amazing!)
Step down to the basement and you enter a huge rec room with 2 free arcade games, shuffle board, pool, foosball and more. I’m guessing the basement isn’t quite finished because it was missing the warm design of the rest of the property but a group of friends or family could spend hours there after a day out.
The front desk staff was incredibly nice. The resort offers ebikes, a beautiful heated pool (in November!) pickle ball, and a sauna, and one building backs up into a golf course (which sadly was closed).
We didn’t use these amenities due to weather but plan to if we return.
There are several buildings that make up the hotel and each is a little different in terms of style and views so call and ask about them if you are are looking for a certain type of style or view.
There is a tablet in the room that gives you an overview of the hotel and connect you to the front desk, but I’m not sure about the privacy aspect. I would probably give it to the front desk to keep next time I visit.
Windham has a quaint village with a few restaurants and stores and is close to other Catskills towns like Tannersville, but I think outdoor pursuits and relaxation are the main reason for traveling there.

The Wylder in Windham and just been fully renovated, not just cosmetically which is beautiful, but now it offers so many amenities that my whole family are completely happy.
The Wylder is a mile from Windham mountain, a family mountain with many trails to satisfy the elite and beginners, with wonderful amenities, new upgraded lifts and snowmaking abilities that allows for a long season! This mountain is open all year round with so much fun to be had.
The Wylder is the place to stay. It offers so much fun for kids, with an expansive recreational room with games, a pool table, table tennis, huge connect four and much more. Smores any evening and large open fires places in all community rooms with hot cider served. It feels like home although without the work. The hotel service is wonderful run through ipads in each room, the rooms are all updated with fabulous comfy beds, soft towels, amazing smelling shampoo, conditioner and body wash. All of the rooms are spread between eight (i think) buildings all very close to the main house but allowing the ultimate privacy. The main house houses the rec. room, Babblers restaurant and the life saving bakery that serves savory and sweet breakfasts, great coffee and lunch. We really could not ask for more in one location. To top it off, tubing, saunas are available in the winter and hammock, ebikes and pool in the warmer weather. It is very close to the Windham path flat walking traiI.
I come up from NYC each weekend from December through March and would not want to stay anywhere else.

My review of Wylder Windham is mixed. On the positive side, the hotel is squeaky clean, with brand new, comfortable bedding. They obviously put a lot of work and money into it. Nice finishes. Food was very good with limited hours in the restaurant, but I am sure that will change as they roll out more rooms. Views are lovely and will be spectacular in the fall. The older buildings are gorgeous and will be a welcome addition once the reno is complete. Pool was nice, but you are paying a resort fee just to use the pool. Not much of anything else is offered. The prices are a bit steep - $500 to $800 a night for a decently sized room. That would be OK if there were a ton of amenities and activities, but there aren’t. Why no cable TV? if you want to scroll around local channels to see what’s happening, you are out of luck. Sure you can use your apps and streaming services, but believe it or not, not everyone has a smart phone loaded with their favorite shows. Showers have one half glass door, which inevitably floods the bathroom. Cleanup a hassle. No coffee maker in the room; tiny mini fridge. No charging ports for your devices; have to move furniture to plug in phone, etc. Every room has been renovated, so you would think they would have paid more attention to small details that you find in most hotels. All the things I’ve listed can surely be tweaked and are not insurmountable. There is so much potential, but they need to provide the small creature comforts – like cable, coffee, comfy seating in the rooms, tissues in the bathroom, maybe a small dresser or credenza for storing your stuff. In the meantime, they need to drop the prices and sack the ridiculous resort fee. I came away annoyed. When all was said and done, two nights came to over $1,500 and that didn’t include food. They are looking for a younger, more adventurous clientele, but I don’t know a lot of young adventurers who can drop $500 to $800 a night just for a bed.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a very warm welcome and offered a cocktail making class. Unfortunately we were too hung over to attend.
We were escorted to our room and the staff showed us where everything was. They set up a cocktail, dried fruit and nuts as a welcome snack. Wow!! I loved this so much.
We had a gorgeous corner room with so much space to move around and the chairs on the balcony is perfect to just relax and have coffee or a cocktail.
In the evening they had several fire pits going so you had some privacy if wanted. I would suggest to go grab a drink from Babbler’s and just chill.
In the morning their cafe had a wide selection of breakfast, pastries, coffee juices. The ham and cheese croissant was amazing.
Their pool is nice and heated. It was a refreshing dip on a hot sunny day. We also used their sauna and it was nice and hot.
The Rec room downstairs is a nice touch for some friendly competition. There’s lot of space that you can lounge too.
Wylder really has something for everyone of all ages to do or not do. We had a very relaxing weekend. We would definitely go back again soon.
Thank you to the amazing staff and Kat the manager for your hospitality.

Wylder is unique in many ways! The staff, the architecture and the interior decor will make you feel at home.
It has incredible landscapes, a river that runs right next to some of the lodges will fill you with energy and a good attitude while you enjoy the excellent and extensive menu at the Hotel's Restaurant/coffee&Bakery shop/ Bar "Babblers".
My favorite cocktail during my stay was the Paloma I had accompanied with their signature delicious badass nachos (with pulled pork on top).
My room's view pointed to the golf field, so i had loads of fun watching people playing If you like outdoor activities, you can take one of the bicycles that are in front of the main lodge and ride the Windham Path, which is pretty close from hotel entrance too.

Wylder hotels always does it right. They treat their guests amazingly well. This Windham location is a true overnight getaway for 24 hours that feels like 3 days. Everything you need it right on site, and something for everyone in the family to do. You can come all year round since there is a heated pool, saunas, an indoor rec room for games and fireplaces. It’s the little things- you can order your drinks poolside and the loungers have pull out trays for them. You can play pickleball on their courts or ask for a tube at the front desk and go tubing right on the River surround the property. #getWylder

Very impressed with this hotel and especially the kindness of the staff. They were extremely caring for any needs of us or other guests. Very clean and new establishment with fun features such as the outdoor saunas and heated pool. Rooms were great and cabin like, but with modern technology… would like to see mini fridges in rooms and a full shower door on showers, but not detrimental. First time vacationing in such a remote area and Wylder likely made the experience as great as it was. Would like to see the bar add a TV or aspect for more entertainment than just dining on weekends and the bakery needs more diverse breakfast options but those are learning curves that come with being new. Will be back in all four seasons here.

This hotel is wonderful for families. We came here for a ski trip and the mountain is so close. We had great views of the mountain also. The rooms are spacious and well designed. The rec room is very large with fire pits outside and they've thought of everything, including a pre-assembled smores kit, blankets, letters to Santa, and tons of games to occupy them.
The restaurant was very good, food was delicious, service was great, although I would recommend they create a kids menu, but the burger and pasta dishes worked out for them.
The staff is very friendly and the hotel is beautiful and clean! Best hotel in the Catskills!
