Everything perfect! Immaculate large rooms (40sqm), sea view, amazing food and exceptional staff. Very peaceful and relaxing with plenty of sunbeds and nice pool. 5 minutes’ walk to marina for bars and restaurants but Mnistires restaurant within hotel never disappointed. Food at hotel amazing, breakfast had good selection and was served at the table which you chose from menu - nice touch (no buffet). Mnistires restaurant within hotel served beautiful evening meals - sea bass was favourite but all were great quality and good variety available. Across road are several lovely stone beaches so you will need swim shoes for comfort and great for snorkelling - take a GoPro. Favourite beach was Lithovatis Beach located to the left from the hotel as you leave it. You will need a hire car if you want to go to a sandy beach. Boat hire available at Marina and we did this twice. Minimarkets are 10min walk and contactless payments accepted. Highlights Staff - Exceptional service Room - 40sqm, View, Electric curtains, immaculate, huge bed and air conditioning you can control! Food - Breakfast and Mnistires restaurant Pool - Plenty of sunbeds Marina - Nice bars and boat hire available We stayed HB, unfortunately no longer offered, for 11 nights and booked 2019 and cancelled twice due to COVID but well worth the wait. Will be very difficult to top this hotel in Kefalonia. The staff are amazing - Big thankyou to Natalie, Aristos, Niko and Catherine. We will be returning!…
This hotel is paradise. The rooms are suites with really big comfortable bed, chairs, settee, gorgeous bathroom, huge balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The cleanliness of the hotel is incredible . Spotless everywhere!! The food is delicious, lots of wonderful meals, every mouthful like Michelin star. 22 suites and more than enough sun loungers, sun double beds, loungers around the crystal pools. And finally, the staff . I was so glad to return and see the same staff. Catherine is the nicest, kindest manager. All the staff, everyone, wants everyone to love their holiday and nothing is too much trouble. There are also wonderful tavernas and restaurants/bars 2 minutes away. We were there 2nd August 2022 until 18th. Every day was perfect and cannot wait to return. Thank you so much Catherine and team.…
Just spent 11 nights at this beautiful hotel. Cannot say anything negative whatsoever. The place is immaculate, large rooms, all with sea view, friendly staff, great food. The hotel has a laid back, chilled vibe but is only 5 minutes walk to bars and restaurants in the lively marina. The staff are second to none and really do make this place special. Shout out to Catherine, Natalie (we miss you 🥺), Niko and Aristos. We will be back!!
This is the second time I have stayed at the Odessey and I will come again. The hotel is immaculate and beautifully decorated. The rooms are spacious and provide everything you could need. The pool area is clean and pristine! What really makes it totally perfect are the staff. Everyone makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive! The breakfast is amazing with wonderful choice and so much care is taken to ensure you have everything you need. Catherine who runs the hotel is one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. She helped me arrange the holiday and even assisted me in getting a hire car when I was struggling to book one before I arrived. If you want peace and quiet, beautiful rooms and hotel and wonderful surroundings and views then stay here as they will look after you so well you won’t want to leave.…
Stunning! Wonderful! Amazing! Everything was perfect - food service drinks and ambiance…. I’d recommend a stay here if you want a respite from sailing - jacuzzi bath and infinity pool made it a dream venue. Love all of Kefalonia but thank this little gem is my favourite
We've never been back to a hotel seven times before and that probably says it all. This trip was very special as it was long awaited, having had to cancel the past two years due to the pandemic. A massive thank you to Catherine for rolling our booking over, to Gerry for running the restaurant and bar and a special thank you to Natalie who is such a gem. From the minute we enter the hotel, it's like going home and we are able to relax immediately. The staff are like old friends, willing to chat and give advice on the local area. The food was superb again, we could never tire of the beautiful pool area overlooking the sea and Ithaca. We have stayed in many different rooms, they are all lovely with fantastic bathrooms and the huge bed is one of the comfiest we've ever slept in. Until next time ........…
Just got back from a week (not long enough) in this stunning hotel. We stayed in room 105 which was just beautiful. The room was huge, extremely comfortable beds, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge stocked with soft drinks, water and alcohol. The air conditioning was freezing, perfect after a day in the hot sun. Natalie, Catherine and all the team were so attentive and friendly (as are all the Kefalonians) Breakfast was fabulous, not buffet style, plenty on the menu and if it’s not on the menu just ask and Natalie will oblige. We didn’t eat our evening meal here but it always smelled great. The hotel is pristine, the pool is amazing with plenty of sun beds and loungers. There are only 22 rooms here so the pool and restaurant were never busy. We visited a few beaches but as always we were drawn back to Anti Samos where you can sit in the water and fish will take food from your hand. It’s a short walk down to the bustling harbour where you can sit and watch the world go by while having a cocktail and food. Plenty of restaurants to choose from catering for all tastes. The yellow boats are a must. Sail north and stop at tiny coves where you are the only ones there. Snorkel in clear blue water with so many fish. The village was devastated by hurricane Ionis in 2020 but the locals, with help, have restored it to its beauty. This was our fifth visit to Kefalonia, the Odyssey is the most wonderful hotel we have stayed in. Thank you for having us and see you next year. Amanda and Jeff…
This hotel is a little gem. It’s luxurious without being ostentatious. We visited for a week upon recommendation from some friends and it did not disappoint. This small boutique hotel (only 22 rooms) is perfect if you’d looking for a peaceful getaway. The hotel itself is spotless-absolutely pristine. Our room was very spacious, with lovely large comfortable bed with en suite bathroom (shower over bath) which was cleaned to an excellent standard every day. There are tea/coffee facilities in the rooms and the view from the bedroom overlooking the Ionian Sea is jaw dropping. We never had any trouble getting a sun lounger (there are even ‘bean bag’ style sun loungers) around the pool. But the thing that makes this hotel exceptional is the attention that we received from the wonderful staff. They couldn’t do enough for us from the warm welcome we received from Catherine to the excellent tours recommended and organised for us by her, The restaurant staff are fantastic (thank you Natalie) and we decided to upgrade to half board realising that the best food in the area was going to be had at our hotel in the Mnisteres Restaurant-beautiful. Breakfast is made to order (not a buffet style) but we liked that as it meant there was no waste. A wonderfully relaxing holiday and we have already booked to return next year. ❤️…
Spent a relaxing week in this beautiful hotel and cant praise it highly enough. The views, the food in the restaurant, the rooms and most of all the wonderful staff team who work so hard to make your holiday perfect. We chose the half board option and particularly enjoyed the food in Mnisteries Restaurant this year, as every meal was delicious and beautifully presented. Thanks to all at Hotel Odyssey for a wonderful stay. It just gets better and better and we hope to be there again soon.
Finally we returned to the Odyssey after two abortive attempts in 2020/2021 - our fifth visit since 2011. This hotel really is a slice of heaven, the rooms are the most comfortable we have ever stayed in with a huge bed and sofa and the balcony looking out towards the sea and the island of Ithaca. The bathroom has the most amazing power shower and the rooms are kept spotless by the lovely cleaners. Catherine Gerry and Natalie are the dream team and it was lovely to renew our acquaintance with them and also Aristos - they really are like old friends. The pool is the most beautiful pool we have ever swum in and its kept so clean that the birds regularly dive and drink from the water. Cocktails are delicious as is the food both breakfast and evening meal. Can't wait for our next visit - it's our ultimate "chill out" place.…
