This hotel is clean, safe, friendly, and well-located, with a restaurant that is frequented by locals as it is one of the best in the area-- why stay anywhere else? Jane, an English ex-pat who seems to work in every department was extremely helpful and friendly, as was Gilles, whom we found out later is actually the owner. When I looked for a place before coming, I wasn't sure at first as it sounded from other reviews as though it wasn't in "the center." Well, Mirepoix has actually a rather tiny and uneventful center, so being right in the middle of it isn't so important as one might think. Besides, the walk is only five minutes (not ten!) down one street so don't be dissuaded on that point. A wonderful deep tub, excellent housekeeping, clean and spacey room with a desk long enough for two people to use at once... and best of all, a better price than anyone else! What more could you ask for? Oh-- maybe a gym, but then there's a beautiful walking/jogging/biking one minute away from the front door. A very good selling point that I haven't seen mentioned elsewhere! (Only have one tiny suggestion: put hand towels in the bathroom, not only bath towels... but then that's a regrettable trend I've seen in a few hotels now!)

This hotel was located a little out of the way, but more than made up for the lack of an ideal location. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms pristine. The air-conditioning was not working in our room and this was quickly corrected when we brought it to the attention of the front desk staff. There was ample parking and free wired internet.

This was our third stay in the fabulous village of Mirepoix. The previous twice we had stayed at Le Commerce which was OK but nothing special. We seemed to get a good rate on Booking.com for our night in Hotel de Minotiers. The room was fine – reasonably sized with a comfortable bed. It was very clean because of the laminate flooring and the fact that the long desk and shelves beside the bed were attached to the wall and did not stretch to the floor. The room was very sparsely furnished with three chairs and it lacked atmosphere. It was very quiet with no street noise and just a little noise from other guests. The bathroom was very modern and well lit and we really appreciated the bath. Wifi was free and it worked well. There was plenty of car parking – a big plus in Mirepoix. The fabulous, beautiful main square was less than 5 minutes walk. We could not fault the service. We did not try breakfast preferring to have coffee in the main square in the sun with croissants from the bakery. I would give it 3.6 to 3.7 out of 4, hence my 4 star rating.

We stayed in the block of rooms opposite the hotel front door. Looks like it is a fairly recent conversion from some other purpose. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-furnished. The bed was comfortable - we find a lot of French hotel beds are too hard, although we've always preferred a firm mattress, there are limits. The bathroom was particularly good - we went for 'une douche à l'italienne', which we now know means a walk-in shower!

We ate in the restaurant as our preferred alternative Tripadvisor recommendation was closed that evening. It was fine in the sense of perfectly OK. Good French cuisine and lots of it.

The next morning we were again thwarted in our desire to eat out, and had to return to the hotel as everywhere in town was closed. We'd admired the breakfasts in another Mirepoix cafe, and were slightly disappointed by the more expensive and OK/standard offering in the hotel.

Very convenient for town and easy free parking.

We only stayed here for one night but would be very happy to for longer stay. The room is clean, good size, as well as bath & shower. It has free parking, only 5-minute walk to medieval square. I had a really good sleep, just need to shut the window so as not to hear people walking passed after a night out.

It's a not pretentious hotel, which has been modernising in the recent years I suppose, and at the end it's a very good option.

A quiet place, two minutes away from Miralpeish centre; It had a quite spacious room, with good Wi-Fi connection, big and comfortable bed, a nice and big shower, all in a complete cleanness, and a functional design.

Some good points vere the bed, and shower, plus some tiny good details, like the smell and softness of the towels.

Some meaningless things were not that good, like the small amount of gel/shampoo available in the room.
We stayed two night and the cleaning staff entered both days while we were still sleeping...
And an annoying thing, their restaurant timetable is too strict. Breakfast it's from 7am to 9:30, which is normal if you're working, but when you're hosted in a leisure time, maybe you wanna rest a bit and awake not before 9:30. Also for dinning, which is finished at 21:15.

Stoped her one night after staying in the high Pyrenees with friend. Rooms clean and comfortable but the food =- wonderful, Went the whole hog with the priciest menu but it was wonderful and memorable for our last evening in a gorgeous part of the world. The town is amazing and the hotel in a very walk able distance

Stayed here several times great place to stay to visit this lovely area. Wonderful market on Mondays.
Breakfasts unimpressive, better to take breakfast in town which is a short stroll from hotel.
Be careful to stipulate normal sized double bed to aceive best prices.

Rooms spotless and very spacious. Modern hotel which although lacks some charm more than makes up for it in the presentation on its rooms.

Lunch and Dinner either a la carte or Menu very good value.

If you enjoy good quality french food and regional wines, the hotel's restaurant is unbeatable! Portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable.

Mirepoix is within the region where foie gras is the traditional food and the restaurant serves a delightful starter of foie gras ( cunnard - duck's liver pate ). As with all foie gras, it is very fattening... but what the heck... you are in France!

Go the hotel's website to view their menu on line. Some dishes require 2 days advance notice.

The rooms are spacious. Just like what hotel rooms were like in the 90s in the USA like Holiday Inns. Fully carpeted and with air-conditioning ( heat for winter, cold for summer). Rooms facing west ( where the hotel's name is painted on the outside wall )
are about 75meters away from a road and a cemetery.. it did not bother us at all.
Rooms are clean and the toilet has good lighting, hair dryer, bath with shower.

As usual, 90% of hotels will not have shower curtains. The French seem to appreciate using just 1 swing panels made of glass to help prevent water splashing out while you shower. Mind you, if you shower vigorously, the floor will get awfully wet. (Unless you sit down... not appealing really ). Floor can get slippery... this is applicable to 90% of hotels in France... not just this one.

Otherwise, this is a hotel I will return if I am any where nearby.
There is a Super U ( the local chain supermarket ) just 5 mins walk from the hotel.
But dont buy perishables... some rooms dont have fridge.

The small town of Mirepoix is just 2 streets away... charming place and worth a 1 night stay at least. It can get very busy & crowded during peak seasons. We visited late April 2015.. it was almost empty!
