Very unexpected... going by boat (waving or shouting then they pic you up) this is one of the most relaxed and relaxing places on earth. Floating... a bar and simple but very good restaurant.. hanging around on very different places 'on board' let us stay from 11 am till after sundown!

We arrived for a 2 night stay in July, we were really looking forward to having the private boat to ourselves after a hectic 3 weeks travelling around Kenya. We arrived and with NO communication from Dreamers Island or Booking.Com there was NO private house boat! We were gutted. Apparently it had gone in for repairs a few nights prior to our stay. But why no communication to advise us of this?! We were gutted, this was going to be one of the highlights of our trip, it seemed like a luxury having the chance to have a boat all to ourselves - instead we had no choice but to stay on the shared boat above the noisy restaurant/bar with many people hanging out watching the sunset right outside our room. It was far from private! No apology from the staff and I don’t think the private boat have been there for quite sometime as we spoke to another family who had just checked out and were in the same boat as us (excuse the pun)

It was two exciting nights in Stonetown. A great, cheerful team, delicious food and the most exciting accommodation in all of Zanzibar. We love you: Ccola, Captain Sita and all the others... And don't forget our song: Pole pole, pole pole .... Leeni & Alexx

Booked for Christmas Eve, and on the very day we were to arrive (on a flight on a carrier that notified us of its having gone belly up within the same hour's span, but that's another AHA story) they cancelled our booking. Then the stories began, only then there were three explanations, and they varied significantly. This, of course, only proved one thing beyond doubt ... we were being lied to. I wrote and asked for a shuttle from the airport to help us find new digs, saying it would go a long way towards their making things right, and they then wanted us to pay for the taxi ... be very wary and make doubly and trebly sure of your arrangements before booking here.

Thank you for reviewing us. I am not sure why it is called poor management if we decide that the safety of our guests is more important than our revenue. Exceptional weather aka storms happen, they can happen in a way that our boats need repairs, repairs that should not wait until we are less booked in low season. Unfortunately this is what happened just before Christmas. We understand your disappointment and expressed that as well. We would have loved to accommodate all our guests during this peak season and we were not able to. We refunded 100% and assisted in finding new accommodations - saying that we did not "want to make things right", does not quiet match in our eyes. Luckily on all those beautiful reviewing sites there's always the option to reply so that a onesided, subjective opinion tinted by disappointment can be rectified.

Cozy rastafari place located directly in front of downtown Stone Town ON the water. This floating bungalow is decorated with so much love and a lot of details - just cozy! The stuff is absolutely amazing. They always give you a boat ride from and to Stown Town so you are able to discover the City. Best sunset at the back of the bungalow and sooooo good shrimps ❤️ The rooms are tiny and basic, but cute (own toilets and a shower available). However make sure you're not that type of person who get sea sick because the waves will rock you to sleep 😀 Really loved this place and highly recommend it.

We stayed for two nights and absolutely loved it! It’s a very different experience than staying at a resort, but if you are open minded and up to give up a bit of comfort for an experience that you will always remember, than we can definitely recommend this place! You can call it a house boat, but it’s more like Bob Marleys Island republic... in the nicest way possible! Super relaxed, you can swim directly from the boat, watch the sunset, sun bath and watch the little tropical fish surround you. The rooms are basic and running water is limited and called, but you get the best views over Stone Town and the ocean and also the staff is most welcoming and are happy to drive you over to the “mainland” of Zanzibar anytime on a little boat. Very memorable experience!

Its no water in the shower or toilet. They said that it would be. So remember to by water before you go to the other fleet. The boat they were taking us out on had only one oar, so afther a night whit a lot of waves they was trying to pick us up in the same boat, but they had to Call somebody else to pick us up. So we was waiting in 30- 40 minuts. so if you are seasick, be aware of waitingtime. Very Nice to watch the sunset here. The Place looks very good. I recommend a day trip to se it. The staff was okey.

This place have soul! For me it’s no. 1 to see in Stonetown. You will see the most beautiful sunset from here :) Magical place! Side, Alex and Dada you’re doing it amazing :) One floating house is a bar with 2 terraces. Second one you can rent and sleep there - your house on the Indian Ocean with the view on Old Fort and Sultan Palace :)

This is such a wonderful place in front of stone town in the Indian Ocean. I stayed for 4 days and it was a pitty when I left. After my stay I really felt relaxed. And the word Freedom gets on the boat a new meaning. Side, Scola and the rest of their team was the best host I could imagine. You get everything you want and moving from the boat to the city is to any time not a problem. Chapeau my friends! Naomi
