Our eight-night stay here was part of our celebrations for our Golden Wedding year and it certainly lived up to our expectations. We did have a disappointing start to our visit, after a long overnight journey, to be told that the pool villa we had booked was not available for our first night because of emergency repairs. Karthik, the Operations Manager, was very apologetic and we were given compensation in the form of a refund of the cost of the late checkout we had booked on our departure day (this was worth a little more than the difference in cost between a pool villa and the next grade down, where we stayed on our first night), plus lunch on that first day. The villa we were given had lovely views - but no pool! The next day we were able to move into our pool villa which was just what we wanted. The pool was a good size - more than just a plunge pool - and the villa was very private with wonderful views of the coast, the sea and the wonderful sunsets. The bed was very comfortable and the villa had everything we needed. Yes, some of the furniture was a bit tired but this did not bother us. The situation of the hotel is lovely, very sympathetically constructed around the natural environment so the grounds are very attractive and well maintained. Some of the paths are quite steep but the hotel has electric buggies that can be ordered up and we used this facility for the return journey to our villa which was uphill. The only negatives we felt were the cost of drinks,which had an unnecessarily high mark-up, and the fact that there was no outside shade in our villa at the hottest part of the day. We were on a half board basis and breakfasts in Mahe restaurant were good with plenty of choice. The evening meals we had there were a bit disappointing in terms of their quality; we much preferred Wave restaurant where we had some delicious meals and we could hear the live music from the bar below. Both restaurants have attractive settings and views. The biggest plus side for us was the staff: so friendly, genuine and welcoming without exception. They really are the hotel’s best asset, making every guest feel valued. Unfortunately, my husband was unwell towards the end of the holiday and we appreciated the concern shown by the staff. Special mentions go to Ana, so helpful and thoughtful, and to Kelvin, our regular buggy driver. We also particularly appreciated the fact that, due to the disruption to the start of our holiday and the fact that it was our Golden Wedding, Karthik arranged for us to have a complimentary, private day’s tour of the island which we thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, we had a really memorable holiday. We would love to return one day!

Most beautiful resort in Mahe short distance from Beau Vallon bay. We’ve stayed 4 nights at the Hilton Northolme as part of a 3 weeks holiday in the Seychelles and must say with no hesitation that it was our best experience of it all. As HHonors Diamond member staying at Hilton hotels comes natural and would be my preferred option. However, i did not expect such an amazing experience. The hotel compered very well with way much more expensive and locally reputable resorts which no doubt explains its high occupancy and popularity. Exceptional level of service beyond any expectations: very kind staff generally greet you by name which always took me by surprise. They will ask how was you day and will always be there to help. At the resturant the waitress remembered the day before breakfast order including coffee preferences, eggs, tropical freshly squeezed juice etc - impressive! Beautiful sunset from the villas ( 401 and 501) and great place for snorkeling if one is up to it. Ocean View Bar or Gin Bar The Lower Deck bar that opens over weekends, have beautiful sunset views and great cocktails. Food is great and service is very kind and personalized though a bit slow at times, but hey we are on holiday and everything is a bit laidback in Seychelles. Would recommend to try: - In Villa Golf Experience - Floating Aperitivo in private pool - Sunset at the Gin Bar The Lower Deck - sunset candlelit dinner at the Villa or beach. We had it at the villa as weather condition was not great that evening but i guess beach candlelit dinner would be equally nice.

We stayed in a deluxe pool villa for 6 nights during our honeymoon. The villa was beautiful and felt very private. The food options were limited but good quality. The diamond breakfast was fantastic. Susa did an excellent job making sure all our activities were arranged and we were well taken care of. Amir kept our villa spotless and was responsive to anything we needed. The only downside is the hotel charges approx 7usd for a 1 liter of water at the restaurants which was a stark contrast to Hilton Labriz.

We had a most amazing 12 night stay at Northolme. Everything was as we were expecting or better. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A special mention for Ana, the trainee butler. She was so lovely and helpful. The breakfasts in Mahe restaurant were amazing and the staff were lovely. Also the evening meals in Wave restaurant were exceptional. Very good choice of wonderful food and Joge and the team offered fantastic service. We were delighted with our sunset villa, very spacious and comfortable. The way in which the hotel has been designed around all the natural features is quite outstanding.

The staff are excellent and they made our stay pleasant attended to our every needs and the location was excellent with plenty of snorkling possible from the 2 nearby coves. Just down the road (20/30 minute walk) was a wonderful beach with typical beachfront restaurants. But, don't walk - it's too dangerous with no pavements. The views from our Villa was fantastic and the small private pool was spectacular. There was a reception up near the entrance gate to welcome you but having travelled all day it was underwelming - offered a drink but they didn't know what it was. The villa was a bit tired but the bed was soft and very comfortable. But now the big negative - the food. Previous trip advisor reviews warned us that it was not at a 5 star standard. I can confirm it wasn't. We ate a number of nights in the Restaurants and also lunch. The quality and variety was poor - the short rib was chewy and was sent back and dealt with badly by the food manager. Food apart, its a great Resort and the staff are as good as any we have met, nothing was too much trouble and they even sent out a taxi to pick up some much needed medication - thanks.

From the moment we arrived on the main island everything about this hotel was poor and substandard The staff at the welcome introduction didn’t know what they were doing with welcome drinks going all over the floor it was embarrassing The food left a lot to be desired on our first night I can only describe the meal as a boil in the bag meal that if we were not half-board would have cost us £50 we sent this back and is the first time we have ever sent a meal back in our lives Sadly this experience meant that we dreaded going to the restaurant especially when the chef special was pizza not what you expect in a five star hotel The room was poor dirty and in desperate need of refurbishment Furniture around the pool was broken and dangerous and in urgent need of repair We were not the only guests to complain once senior management had spoken to guests on two occasions did things improved slightly but by this time the holiday was tainted location was good water warm and fish plentiful fruit bats many scenery wonderful but way off expectation Having been recommended this resort by kuoni we are excited to visit the main island of the Seychelles . unfortunately this poor experience has made me think twice about booking with kuoni in the future

Just back from a great holiday at this hotel. Amazing location, friendly staff and lovely pool villa (403) on stilts overlooking beach. I’m coeliac so was very pleased of gluten-free options and ability to adapt dishes. Big thanks to Elisha who made lovely fresh gluten-free waffles for breakfast. As nearly everything is imported onto island, don’t expect drinks to be cheap. Probably about twice UK prices.

Had a relaxing few days at the Hilton Northolme. The service is good, especially at the front desk. the rooms spacious and comfortable, the infinity pool has great views over the ocean. The food didn't live up to expectations though. Nothing was served right. A cheese plate arrIved as a mound of cheese cuts - enough for 10 people - and nothing else. The beetroot salad a tower of cut up beetroot and nothing else. It was quantity over quality every time. The international cuisine is not what the local staff would eat and therefore they don't know how to cook or serve it right. Other than that a lovely place in a great location.

Make no mistake, this Hilton is older and certain parts of the hotel needs refurbishing, especially rooms and their equipment. However, everything beats the feel good vibe, that this hotel has and amazing, extremely friendly and competent staff, that is present during your stay. So you feel, that somebody actually takes care of you very well and tries to make your wishes true. It is quite expensive, but the care that you receive is absolutely outstanding. No matter if its a dinner in one of three amazing restaurants, or massages or simply renting swimming gear for free anytime you want. This place is worth every dime you spend here. I hope I will be able to come back one day.

We loved our stayed here! The staff were all so welcoming from our first introduction from Susa and Suman went the extra mile to get us an upgrade for our last night which was simply excellent! The best room we have ever stayed in! The pool was gorgeous and a good size with amazing view. Other staff that were great included Gospel Maria, Michelle, Miguel And Joge in the restaurants. The facilities were all fantastic, pool was wonderful- so beautiful and perfect temperature with comfy sun loungers. Everywhere was kept very clean and maintained very well. The rooms were gorgeous and the welcome wine and treats very much appreciated. The balcony was fantastic with ocean views and comfy seating. The restaurants both were top with style and food. I would have liked a bit more choice of bar food in the day. The specials at wave kept it interesting and were top quality. The live music was excellent particularly the band on Tuesday evening which went on for 3 hours without a break and was lovely to listen to. On our last night we got a glass of sparkling wine and special message on our dessert which was a fantastic touch. The happy hour was excellent and loved the lower deck bar to watch the sunset. The champagne was extremely expensive though- which seemed disproportionate. We were disappointed the bar was only open until 10pm which seemed quite early- at least until 11pm would be good. We had breakfast in our room two days which was excellent- one day we asked for a glass of bubbly each and we were bought the whole bottle- amazing!! We enjoyed renting kayaks and snorkels. The little beach at the back was nice and quiet and peaceful. The air conditioning in our room (226) was not quite cool enough and we got very warm at night even on the lowest setting. In room 403 this was fine. The spa was nice with good massages overlooking the ocean. So pleased we stayed here! Felt like pure luxury!
