Recently came back from a most wonderful week at the resort. What can I say? It was magical by all means! And not just the grounds and the picturesque beach....it was the bending back words of the whole team at the Four Seasons that made our trip as memorably fantastic! If you're there to enjoy quality then you've come to the right place! Weather, setting, grounds, the jurassic like vegetation hugging the resort, little activities here and there, snorkeling to witness over 40 types of sea life and an amazing restoration project of the wilting corals ,an amazing wetland tucked behind the beach with an ancient ruin, great food and above all the smile and warmth of the wonderful team. Thank you for the royal treatment.
We stayed on Desroches Island which is also owned by Four Seasons and we were given two complimentary nights at their Mahe hotel. We arrived and we were given an upgrade to a villa which had an incredible view. It was very hard to leave the room but the resort was gorgeous, beautiful beach, beach assistance was on point, food fantastic and great cocktails. We didn't book directly, we used our travel agent SeyExclusive who advised us on everything. I would book a Ocean View Villa as this room has the views. Our main stay was on Desroches but this was a complete surprise to us, because it was so good.
Stunning hotel. Very expensive and very difficult to find availability but absolutely worth it. The beach is spectacular - especially at sunset - and the villas are amazing. Food is of the highest quality and customer service exceptional. One evening my girlfriend and I were walking home as the sun was setting and the hotel manager drove past on a buggy, noticed us, told us we were missing out so pointed out a great viewing spot to sit down at and then had a complimentary glass of champagne sent to each of us. Completely unexpected, but a touch of class. If you can find availability, definitely book this hotel!
We stayed there between may 5th-may 8th and booked the ocean pool room villa. We are well seasoned travellers and have stayed in quite a few luxury resorts around the world including four seasons in Bali. Here is my review. The hotel and room- the grounds of the hotel itself is incredible. one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in.The ocean view from the room was breathtaking, the beach was stunning everything about the grounds was wow. The pool in the ocean view room was great, a good size enough to actually swim in, perfect temperature and the view from the pool was mesmerising. The service- We had a baby and a toddler and they provided baby toiletries, sterilising machine, and personalised hooded towels for both my kids. It was a really nice cute touch from the hotel. I would say overall the service is good, but on ground level with just the normal day to day staff, there is room for improvement. Service at breakfast and dinner was kind of slow. Buggy service wasn’t always timely. There was no warm friendliness from the general staff. I don’t know how much that has to do with the general culture of Seychelles people..but I just didn’t get a warm friendly feeling. Everyone seemed to be just ‘doing their job’. I’m comparing here to Bali four seasons where everyday staff would make us feel like royalty. Management- I would say how ever the management knew exactly what four seasons stands for…they went above and beyond to make us happy with our stay. We were unhappy with some building works that were going on near our villa we could both hear it and see it. They tried to move us but we weren’t happy with the other room so we stayed where we were…but as the building works was impacting our experience management were very kind to recompense us for the inconvenience . It definitely made us feel better about it and exactly what four seasons service stands for. Also, on the day we were due to leave to go back to London, we were coming back from praslin (no longer staying at four seasons) and our flight was at midnight. Four seasons were kind enough to let us use their facilities (and to our surprise a room!) until our flight so that we didn’t have to hang about at Mahe till midnight. We created really special memories on our final day in seychelles at four seasons and all because they let us stay there for a while on the final day . Thank you for this, really made our experience extra special. Food- could do with some improvement here. Zez was ok…forgot the name of the other restaurant. But limited food..would get pretty boring quite quick if staying longer than 3 days. Wasn’t that delicious either. Beach- amazing pure white sand bright blue waters, great facilities. Just great. Kids club- great, my son really enjoyed this. All in all we loved our experience at four seasons. The gestures made by management were much appreciated. Would highly recommend to stay here if in Mahe. Staff and service on ground level could maybe improve a little in their hospitality. Food could improve. Other than that, perfect. Thank you four seasons.…
