Whether you are an avid diver/snorkeler looking to explore the perfect underwater location or a traveler looking for peace and quiet on the Red Sea, Rohanou Beach Resort does not disappoint. Located about 40 minutes from Marsa Alam and 1 hour from Hurghada near El Quesir village, and situated in a secluded coastal setting with access to a superb coastal reef, Rohanou is your answer.
It is a great place to chill out but not for those seeking luxury and a range of entertainment. Swimming in the sea is permitted ONLY off the pier (so as not to damage the pristine coral reef which reaches the beach) or in the swimming pool. You can relax on one of the numerous sunbeds in the shade of the sun umbrellas by the sea or by the pool.
The rooms are clean and equipped with a mini fridge, private bathroom, and some even with balconies overlooking the pool or with a sea view.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is generally very good and there is usually a variety of salads and food choices when the buffet is fully operational (most recently we were served at the table due to Covid-19 precautions). Fresh baked Egyptian bread is also prepared daily in the wood fired oven.
There is a friendly sense of community among the guests (mostly German, French and some Italians) who come for the diving and snorkeling. A fully trained, operational and equipped diving center with experienced staff is located on-site (ready to take you on a variety of excursions as a diver or snorkeler) as well as a beauty/massage centre.
This is the 3rd summer (and 4th visit) I have spent at Rohanou and it never disappoints. In spite of the Covid-19 restrictions (with which the hotel was fully compliant), the hotel’s general manager, Mr Osama Labib, made us feel welcome and safe, making our holiday extra special and memorable.

During our stay in Al Queseir we spend our days in Rohanou for day uses by the beach. It was an amazing time. We really had a great time, feeling that we were in our own private beach yet served with the friendliest of staff, especially Hamdy and Mostafa the waiters, and Mansour who offered any information and assistance he can help with. Prices are very reasonable. However, they could improve on their menu and food, but overall for the prices we paid everything was good. You must try their spa. Very clean and wonderful service. We tried Shaimaa and Sherihan for the massage and they were more than excellent. A wonderful place I think to stay or visit to use their facilities.

What an amazing boutique resort 🤩 every room is different and has it’s own unique charm! Very spacious and clean rooms perfect for families or couples! The owners, manager and the staff are the kindest people you would meet! They’ll treat you as family 😍 the food is fresh and tastes so good! The corals there are amazing, the minute you get in the water from the pier ✨🐟🐠🌊 you’ll find beautiful colorful corals … mountains of corals and so many colorful fish of all kind… you won’t want to leave the water, trust me! Their snorkeling guide is always there ready to get in the water with you to guide you at no extra cost (you can tip him at the end at your own discretion) Best resort in Quseir for divers and snorkeling lovers :)! The staff went above and beyond when they were informed that it was our daughter’s birthday!! LOVE Rouhano 🤩❤️

Great ressort away from the mass tourism of Hurghada. The diving is superb and the hotel very clean with very friendly staff. For divers there are excursions every day to several spots along the Red Sea coast. If you just want to snorkel, the house reef is 20 meters away from the beach and stretches several hundered meters to the left and right from the ressort. We saw Dolphins!

We stayed 9 nights at Rohanou. It was a wonderful stay. Thx to the small size, it was a very cosy, relaxed and calm atmosphere. The staff was always very nice, flexible and friendly. Moreover, the housereef is intact and with the canyons a great place for diving. The diving center Wonderful Dive was excellent with great guides and an extraordinary service at the jetty. We were in hotel Radisson Blue for the third time. We really love the hotel. The stuff there are so nice and always help you with everything. In bar and restaurant amazing, in bar the most perfect Mahmoud Afifi and Alaa Moustafa. And in restaurant Moustafa Ebeid, Ahmed and Ali. room is clean and big, food is really good especially the fried fish every day! you can also have a lot of fun in swimming pool. but the most highly recommended is the house reef. we are playing with a dolphin for ten minutes in my first dive there!! people also see manta rays a week before. the night dive is also great, and we see a lot of interesting things such as Spanish dancer, cattle fish, shrimp and crab.

We loved every second of it and we will be back. Great location, best beach ever as well as excellent snorkling and swimming. Good food and excellent accommodation. Super running tracks in case you like to train for a marathon.

I enjoyed every second of my stay at Rohanou. Although the weather was cold, but the warm welcome and hospitality were cozy enough. The place is quite neat and Eco. friendly. Such a great place for divers and swimmers, especially if you want to enjoy a quiet and calm vacation. The resort is located near the most ancient city of Quseir. the nearest Airport is 60Km far, meaning less jet noise. The sea food is remarkable. I intend to go there again.

The all inclusive restaurant changed to a different one for a couple of nights when we there. I think you get charged if you choose to eat in one that’s not in the all inclusive deal. But as we were there in February it was very quiet and I don’t think the other restaurants were open unless they were being used for all inclusive.
We loved it there and can’t wait to go back next February!
Hi, we are there now and can confirm what you say is true. You can only access the sea by the jetty which has steps into the water. Snorkelling is amazing, however. They do charge to eat outside but most people seem to boycott them out of principle. According to people who visited last year it has really gone downhill. We have also found that the quality of the food and drink has deteriorated during our stay, although we cannot fault the staff. Unless snorkelling is your main thing we wouldn’t recommend. It’s a shame because could be amazing. Hope this helps.
There are more places to choose from in the El Quseir area.
