Back again at the Sherwood, this time for Winterfest and it was excellent from the minute we walked in the back entrance. The Winterfest rates for the 2 room suite, room #37 were great, the breakfasts in the lakefront room perfect and the tavern outstanding on our 3 visits to it.

Meticulously maintained, the Sherwood Inn is an historic gem of the Finger Lakes region. Our group of eight friends spent a relaxing overnight in rooms with antique furniture, fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs. Both the bar and the lobby had open hearth wood fires simmering through

Went here on Christmas Eve for lunch with friends. Wonderful live music and atmosphere. Food was excellent and so was the service considering the place was full. Loved the fireplace and the bar area with many tables set up for lunch Will definitely return.

I enjoyed a recent lunch in the main dining room. We chose the Inn as we knew it would be decorated for Christmas and give a festive highlight for a luncheon. While the decor did not disappoint, some parts of the meal did. They were out of most of the specials and the Inn

Thank you for letting us know about your recent experience at the Sherwood Inn. It was great to hear that you enjoyed the festive decorations that we have throughout the inn during the holiday season. We have taken note of your observations about our Shrimp Cocktail and will be discussing how to improve the presentation as well as the quality of the items accompanying the protein. We hope to see you back at the Sherwood in the near future.

How can anyone not enjoy stepping back over 200 years in time? The location couldn’t be more perfect to enjoy Skaneateles. The dinners are gourmet, the tavern is a great place to enjoy a cocktail. It is difficult and costly to maintain an old building but the owners do a great

Do they serve brunch?
We were there on a Sunday morning this past June and while I wouldn't call it brunch it was a nice breakfast buffet. Typical stuff of scrambled eggs, potatoes, hot and cold cereals, breads and bagels you could toast, etc. While not very extensive, meaning no bacon or sausage or meat, it was very tasty.

There are 12 unique guest rooms and suites on the third floor of the Sherwood Inn. Each room has its own character and ambiance as well as certain appointed amenities such as lake views, fireplaces and/or jetted bath tubs, and sitting areas. We have many options that can suit your individual needs. Please call our front desk staff at 1-800-374-3796 for a complete review of each of our guest rooms and they can help you select the one best to suit your needs. Is the Hotel renovated?
"Don't stay on the third floor if you can't manage stairs. Best to call inn directly to ask specific questions and to book."
"Not a bad room in the place. Just lovely"
"Ask for a room on the Lake side, to get a good view and more space."
"Rooms on the front side of the Inn are a bit noisier but they have the best views of the lake. We accepted the noise in favor of the views!"
"The front rooms have a beautiful view of the lake. There is some traffic noise but mostly on weekdays when people are coming home from work."
