Where do I even start !! Got off the bus to a lovely champagne welcome from reception, checked in and in our room in 20 mins 🙌🏻 The rooms are spacious and clean and a full mini bar in room that’s topped up every 2 days. We upgraded to a swim up room for the last 3 days for a little treat for my birthday. You can sort this at reception for €80 per night but it’s well worth it. We requested one on the far end facing beach for privacy and it was superb 👏🏻 The food is amazing there is literally anything you could possibly want ! During our 10 day stay there was lobster, steak, chicken , fish just everything ! The staff are all amazing. There are 3 restaurants you can book but we didn’t bring any trousers for my partner so we were unable to go as they’re very strict on this. But the food In main restaurant is fantastic so we were not bothered. The swim up pools are great the only problem was kids on the stools and then jumping into the pool- it clearly stated no kids at bar but there were a few so we did go to the other swim up bar out of the way. We found the one near the snack restaurant more chilled. Processo and all named spirits on the all inclusive you just need to ask ! I’d def recommend trying the beach bar to the left of the hotel , about a 10 min walk it’s amazing ! Views , drinks food all fabulous 🤩 All the staff are so friendly and they will do anything for you , I even got a bottle of champagne off them delivered to my room on my birthday Try the spa, the jacuzzi is free and huge ! Massages are extra but definitely worth it ! We literally have nothing bad to say about this hotel we can’t wait to go back next year !

Hotel's Favourite
We've just returned from here (4th August), hotel is amazing. Food was superb, drinks on tap 24 hours and the location was fantastic. Champagne on arrival at reception, checkin was smooth (but we did get a taxi 10Euro rather than TUI transfer) as we were there before the bus. Porters on hand to take your luggage to your room. We had a standard room, we first had 2 large single beds even though we asked for a double they then changed us day after for a massive king size bed, bathroom was shower only, but very spacious and clean. Optics in the room were Vodka, Gin, Bacardi & Whisky all 37.5ABV or above, not your cheap option. Mini-bar consisted of beer, water (still and fizzy), coke, coke zero, sprite, fanta and tonic water. Some apartments have their own pool, but these are not very private as they back on to the paths so everyone can see you in them!! Pools: 3 pools right on the beach - 2 swim-up bars with a another pool in the middle of these. Staff are brilliant in these with variety of cocktails, beer, spirits, soft drinks & coffees. Hotel provides you with a card to exchange for a beach towel which you can change as and when you please Beach; You can fall onto the beach from the beds by the pool it that close, sea is lovely, sometimes waves are strong but they have lifeguards on duty Food Main buffet restaurant (Africa) served breakfast, lunch & dinner. Food was outstanding, you will not starve, plenty of options for everyone. Breakfast: Onlettes made to order, pastries, steaks, variation of eggs, fruit, milkshakes, juices, cereals and usual beans, sausgage, bacon, toasties, cold meat Lunch: two soups plus gaspacho, variation of fresh meat, fish, pasta, pizza, salads, fruit, ice cream Dinner: 2 carvery meat on offer every evening, sirloin steaks, veal steaks, lamb chops, pork chops, fish options (Lobster tails one evening). pasta, pizza, sushi, salads, cheese selection, breeds, vegetarian options etc We also went to the 2 of the 3 restaurants you have to book in to, Didn't go the Steakhouse as looking at the Menu you had all this in the main buffet. Mitzuki Japanese: It was ok, not to my taste, Krystal: Mrs had a lovely starter, Mash, Mushrooms topped with poached egg. We then had the Duck but the sauce was too rich of for both of us. Tip: Book these two for 7pm then if you don't enjoy it pop to main rest as open till 10pm!! There is also a lovely coffee bar in reception which serves various coffees and cakes till midnight Entertainment in the evening was excellent, various shows on every night from 9pm followed by live bands. Kahoot quiz most nights from 2030. Kids entertainment from 1930. Sports bar has plenty of TV's with various live sport on and is open till 8am and had some snacks

Great hotel, great food, really nice staff couldn’t fault it. We went in one of the bungalows well worth paying that bit extra for the private plunge pool. The coffee bar made really nice drinks. Went on the beach but the sea was too rough to go in the sea.

Having been to Boa Vista 4 times previously, it was noticeable how different the climate is in September, rainfall and mosquitos being the major difference. A disappointing start to the holiday, with the room being on the 3rd floor over the entertainment area and the lifts not working, so we immediately looked for an alternative room. 560 Euros later for an upgrade to a swim-up room was rather costly, but having stayed in a similar room in April we knew it was worth the change. Just disappointed that we were charged so much for a room that was obviously 'available' and this left a bad taste in my mouth to be honest. The hospitality was excellent as always, and the beach walks were very welcome. We will go back (again!) but have learnt that your loyalty as a regular customer stands for nothing, so guess we'll pay for the upgrade via TUI at the time of booking rather than directly to the hotel.

This place is simply amazing. We arrived to have our bags taken to the room by the big lad at the front door (apologies as I cannot remember his name). He was very welcoming and friendly. The room was set up beautifully for us as it was our honeymoon. Flower petals on the bed. Very romantic. Our room had a sea view which was amazing! The room was immaculate and very fresh. Mini bar was fully stocked with drinks and alcohol. The hotel itself was always immaculate and the staff are amazing, I can’t praise them enough, soooooo friendly and always smiling, they couldn’t be quick enough to refresh our drinks and to check everything was ok. I know this is standard practice most places, but it deserves a special mention as it was excellent. The pools were always clean and tidy. Lovely warm water heated by the sun. We only went to the adults only pool, with the swim up bar. Never been to a hotel with this before so it was a new experience and a very cool thing to do. They had they’re own part of the beach with lots of loungers, the sea was mostly ‘red flag’ when we were there except the last two days of our stay which were ‘yellow flag’. The sea was absolutely stunning. I’ve not seen turquoise water like this before, the water was amazingly warm! I hate going in to the sea (a personal fear) but once my wife convinced me to go in I thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife is a wild swimmer so she had no issues jumping straight in, the water is so inviting. They had showers at the beach to wash off the sand. A ramp too for people less able. The nightly entertainment team were excellent, the dancers were very talented and always smiling, taking time to speak with anybody they came across. Table service with your drinks brought to you in a very busy auditorium. The ceiling fans provided much relief from the relentless heat in Cabo Verde! The food! The food was incredible, well cooked and presented. Sea food, salads, meat, antipasti, Italian the lot! And the deserts were just Devine! I really enjoyed it and I’m a very fussy eater. I wish I could say more but i could go on forever about the food. So I’ll leave it at that. The Sal rey/rei snack bar was excellent for out of dining times eating. Just a short walk from the adults only pool which was handy. The drinks were always cold and refreshing! The sports bar was great, I got to watch my beloved Scotland take on Cyprus and England in great comfort as it was Air Conditioned!! A massive shout out to Sheriff the bar man. He was the happiest man on Boa Vista. He made my visit to the sports bar special every time. I enjoyed his company and conversation. The man deserves a raise ;-). They have a pool table and fuss-ball table which we played and enjoyed. The hotel had some stray cats in the hotel and dogs at the beach which were friendly and well taken care of. It was a nice thing to see as I am an animal lover and was missing my own cats and dog. The hotel was mainly adults but there were a few family’s with young children who looked content and happy. I would say it was limited for children as my son would have struggled after a couple of days to do things (outwith the tui activities) but do not let that out you off. The pools were great and the hotel shared a water park with the neighbouring hotel, which we sadly didn’t visit but I overheard people saying it was fantastic! My birthday was made special with a card and a bottle of champagne left in our room by the staff! The staff in general were absolutely outstanding. I can’t praise them enough, they went above and beyond every time. We travelled with Tui, and the hotel had its own reps who were in charge of the activities you could do. We chose to do a half day village and beach tour which was lovely. Our tour guide Carlos was very knowledgable about the island as he was a local. The sand boarding at the desert was great fun and the Santa Monica beach was the highlight of the trip. I will say the trips are quite pricey. But I’m a tight fisted Scotsman so there is that! Next time we are going to do the turtle watching. The only bad thing was the flies! But that is totally out with the hotels control and should be noted. They done everything they could to control it. I would advise bringing some sort of repellent. We only seen a few mosquitos so that was a bonus. The ‘looky looky’ men were a pest but again something that we all have to deal with everywhere we go, and I suppose with it being a developing country, it was the only income these people had so we bought a few hand made gifts from them. They are quite pushy so if you’re a soft touch like me you could find yourself skint haha. They aren’t allowed on the hotel grounds except from the beach. Overall, The staff made our honeymoon special! WE WILL BE BACK!

Where do I start with this hotel? It is the very best all inclusive hotel we have ever been to. We have been to Boa Vista three times now but the palace is the only hotel we will go to from now on. The rooms are wonderful, very clean and equipped with everything you could want including optics of gin, vodka, whisky and bacardi. Soft drinks are also included in the fridge. There are toiletries in the bathroom, which has the biggest shower I have ever seen. The girls who clean the rooms are very talented with their towel sculptures. The food is the best all inclusive food we have had, which included smoked salmon and caviar every day. Fleshly cooked steak to your liking and every other food you could possibly imagine. The bookable restaurants (at no extra cost) of which we only did 2, the Japanese and the steakhouse were both extremely good. The 3 pools were very good. We went to the lively pool which is great for all the activities and we also enjoyed the quiet pool for complete relaxation both of which have a swim up bar. The middle pool has in-pool sunbeds. The entertainment crew are amazing and always put on a great show in the evenings. The best were the ABBA night, the Grease night and the juke box evening was very funny. All the staff are fantastic always ready and happy to help and cater for your needs. All in all we would definitely recommend this hotel. Bonus point, it is only 10min transfer from the airport. Extra bonus point you NEVER hear or see any of the planes landing or taking off!

This hotel was welcoming from the minute we walked in. Check in was easy and friendly, greeted with a glass of fizz. Always a nice touch when you’ve been travelling. We booked a swim up room which was very private, spacious and immaculate. If you needed Anything for your room, it’s was easy to ring reception or even easier, use the RIU app. All requests were dealt with very quickly. We went for my birthday and when we returned to our room one day, a bottle of fizz and a lovely card were waiting for us. The whole complex was very clean, all staff around the place very friendly. Restaurants have so much choice and you can practically eat 24hrs a day. If you can’t find something you like here, then you have a problem. So much choice for all nationalities.
