Horrible experience. I had roaches in my room, the room was never cleaned even when I asked to do it at the front desk. I was patient the first day when I saw first they did not give me a high floor room even as a Bonvoy member, then when I woke up after the first night a roach in my desk, so disgusting but I was like well maybe these things can happen, then the next day another roach below my bed, my bedroom was not cleaned, then when I call the front desk they tell me they will send new linens and towel, and then another surprise, a thread of hair tucked inside the towels. That was it I was not going to sleep my last night there. I called the front desk and even though they did not charge me for the third night, no help to find another room, and no consideration as a Bonvoy member. Huge disappointment, I do not recommend this hotel and hopefully, when the manager reads this I would expect more than an apology...…
Hotel is new construction. Nice hotel in, shall we say, developmentally challenged area of Queens. Hotel lobby, rooms and elsewhere extremely clean and well maintained. I chose the hotel for location near family, Marriot quality, and price. So very nice hotel in a rundown neighborhood. Didn't feel safe walking around (just me...okay, but with wife, no) so had to pay for an Uber $33 roundtrip to find a nice place to eat. Rooms are tight, but completely the norm due to NYC astronomical real estate prices. Unfortunately, the room did not have any furniture. No dresser, no closet (just an open rack), and no luggage stand. Nada. I mean really guys - how much is a stand? Had to lay our suitcases on the floor. Bed was a dream. Air Cond is not governed, so could set it nice and cool to sleep better. TV selections were top notch. Breakfast was fine, pretty good array of items. I regularly exercise, so would have been nice if fitness room had at least few weights. Nothing for strength training. I had to lay flat on the treadmill and try to do pull rows. Ran out of creative ideas. Wall TV was stuck on the Marriot Info channel. Great if you're into that. Unplugged it to shut it up. Staff in all departments were outstanding. That is a reflection of management - their training and the culture instilled. Also they were nice people. I commend management on that. Be sure this is where you wish to be situated, as Ubers in NYC are quite expensive.…
This hotel is the absolute best deal you can find in New York, without a doubt. If you want amazing quality and great prices, this is it. Special thanks to Antonio Cerrato at the front desk who feels like a new member of my family. I cannot thank him and the amazing staff at TownePlace Suites for literally making my stay better than I'd ever expected. The long term stay has been easy, with the quality and cleanliness of the hotel, and rooms, the amenities, and overall value is beyond comparison. As someone who has also worked in the service industry, I can really appreciate how everyone maintains a high level of attention, and genuine hospitality. Thanks again to Antonio, and everyone who has helped make this a great stay.
From our early check-in and until we departed (3 days) our stay was seamless. The valet parking offers in & out privileges, which is rare in NY. Large comfy room, very clean, nice beds. Front Office, Amanda, is a gem as were all the valet attendants. Good selection at breakfast. The rooftop offers some nice views or the area.
Nice place. Clean room. Perfect stay for an out of towner. Amanda at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend anyone to stay here for the night or even more. Next time I’m in queens I’ll return
Pros: the hotel is in a convenient location, the rate per night is not high Cons: the floor in the rooms is extremely dirty and wet. Socks of my 1-year old daughter were black and moist after just an hour's play on the floor (please see a picture attached). The wooden floor is not tight and water comes out from between the panels when stepped on it (also on the provided photos - I pressed a tissue on the floor). The AC in the room worked also in a very weird way. It is cold if you do not switch it on, but once you do either cold air blows from it or the room is filled with very stuffy warm air. Lastly, one night (about 11 PM) the cleaners sprayed the whole floor with some cleaner liquid (Fabuloso) definitely using too much of it. It was very hard to breathe for us and the baby, not to mention sleep at that time. A visit at the reception desk did not help at all cause the person just shrugged one's shoulders and did not offer any solution. For this amount of money not worth it at all.…
We chose this hotel for location, price and past satisfaction with the Marriott brand. The rooms are comfy, beds excellent..small kitchenette with fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee, tea maker..dishwasher..they do offer a complimentary breakfast..not one of the better facets.. guest laundry available..friendly staff..lounges both in check in area and lower level by breakfast area with gas fireplace. We will come back.
We had a bit of trouble finding this hotel. We got of the subway on 21th Street. We were check in by Antonio. We were given room 808. Nice partial kitchen, nice comfortable bed. The TV is excellent with YouTube available. There is a toaster, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Bathroom is great. Breakfast is not too good.
So appreciate Kimberly for checking us in and accommodating us with not just amazing service but some really heartfelt advice and extra amenities. We are thrilled with this place, everyone who works here is so nice and the place is brand new, with a value beyond what I can expect anywhere else. Kimberly saved the day and we are cozy and so super happy with this shiny happy bonvoy experience! Would give 6 stars if I could. Nothing is not perfect here and I’m looking forward to my extended stay here again in January.
Nice new hotel with decent size room and bathroom. Area is kind of questionable but I felt safe. construction was going on early mornings while I was trying to sleep which was very annoying. Breakfast was free and was a decent variety. When I arrived early check in wasn’t available but my room was ready in about an hour. Enjoyed my stay; would stay again. When I checked, out a taxi driver rolled over my suitcase ruining a lot of things inside of it. Would advice the hotel to not let the taxi drivers park and drive on the side walks.
