On a family trip we stayed here I highly recommend avoiding this hotel with damaged walls carpet and ceiling in both my room the room my brother got and dirty conditions in my cousin's room it's definitely not worth the money highly recommend avoiding.

I have to say, this is one of the most awful hotels I have EVER stayed in. I am not fussy. I am not spoiled. My needs are not complicated. I'm not one to write reviews generally, but I feel I need to give folks who might consider this place in the future some real life info. It was so awful that I sat in the room for 15 minutes ruminating about whether to stay. Didn't have to do with safety. It had a good lock on the door as you would expect. It had to do with awful upkeep, tobacco reek, and the feeling of a jail cell. BTW, the picture here looks nothing like this broken down place. it's either heavily photoshopped or not the same place whatsoever. I was staying overnight and headed to a sort of meditation retreat the next day. I had paid the upfront non-refundable fee to save ~$20 or so, something I never do. I don't know why I did this time. So I got a $218 "deal." It is high season for leaf watching and the Catskills are stunning this time of year with tree leaves every color of the rainbow, so there weren't many rooms available in the area, and prices were high. That's life and supply and demand, no big deal I went into the very small lobby with a nice enough man behind the counter. An 8 1/2 x 11 sheet from a printer was taped to the wall with packaging tape that said "Owner's Name, LLC; Licensed by Quality Inn and Suites. A franchise I guess. There was a stairway to the second floor which was roped off. God knows why. There was an ATM machine with a sheet of paper taped to the screen: Out of Order. I was given my key and told my room was at entrance #5. Where is that?, I asked. Drive all the way down to the end of the building. I did, to a very sketchy, lonely back parking lot with a single other car back there. I keyed myself into the building and into the very end of a long, straight hallway literally about the length of a football field, which REEKED of tobacco. No elevators anywhere in sight. I had to lug my heavy suitcase up a narrow set of stairs that looked like service stairs for the cleaning staff. I opened my "suite" to further tobacco reek. With an ashtray on the dresser. First of all, I didn't know there were still smoking rooms. Second of all, a person should not be stuck into one unless you ask for it. The bed felt supportive enough. There was a sad little tv about the size of a computer monitor. Here is the best (saddest) part: There was a pitch black entry into the extra space that makes it a suite. I fumbles for a light in the pitch black and lit it up. It was a room with not a single thing on the walls, with two lamps, a sofa, and what had been a recline and the footrest part was missing entirely. Just a big hole where the footrest would have folded down. And there were NO WINDOWS and the walls were cinder block painted baby blue. It literally looked like a prison cell. I sat down on the bed and thought for 5-10 minutes and finally said "I can't do this to myself. The next two days are important to me and I won't go into it carrying the awfulness of this room with me. I called around and found a room at a nice Hampton Inn 10 minutes away. I ate the $218, left, and went to pay $450 for the night at a lovely, comfortable Hampton which started my weekend properly. I'm going to try to remove this place from my memory but it will take time. And yes, it really is this bad. Don't do this to yourself. There are plenty of choices in the area. And expect to pay up if it during a festival or the peak of leaf-loving season. Best of luck.

So let’s talk about the word “Quality” as in “Qulality”Inn Kingston. As far as i know quality is the standard of something as measured against other things of a similar kind; the degree of excellence of something. There is no such thing as excellence of any degree at this establishment. From the lack luster greeting analogous to stale bread to the stench which seemed to be a combination of mold and sweaty gym socks to air vent in the bathroom CAKED with dust there was no evidence of quality. There wasn’t even hand soap to wash our hands. To add insult to injury, our confirmation included a free breakfast. When i approached the front desk person about the matter, with barely an acknowledgment of my existence she said there was no breakfast and directed me to a not free coffee machine with what i ascertained to be faintest of nods. Neither the building nor the room have ever been upgraded nor refreshed with its 1970’s now yellow stained wallpaper and antiquated bathrooms. If this motel/motel is a franchisee they should lose their right to name Quality inn. If they’re this was a corporate store then shame on you Quality Inn.

I stayed here based on availability as it was a last minute booking. I have literally never stayed in a more disgusting hotel. I felt like I was living in an episode of Hotel Impossible. There is clearly nobody working here who has any interest in creating a safe, clean and friendly environment. The lobby stinks, literally. There are several signs stating pets are not allowed. I was told to sign an acknowledgment that if I did bring in a pet, I would be fined. The gentleman at the front desk was wearing a worn out t-shirt and never made eye contact. When I mentioned to him how they must have had issues with pets, the response without looking up was “we don’t allow pets”. Before he handed me my key, he grabbed a small key envelope, put it up to his mouth and blew it open. Then placed the keys in the envelope. I saw him do this three times. No sense of hygiene whatsoever. Room: Old, outdated, smelled like stale cigarettes. This motel has smoking and non-smoking rooms however they are not segregated so the entire motel smells like cigarette smoke. The air conditioner constantly turns on and off and is extremely loud. The room refrigerator had a constant clicking sound and was splattered in white paint. The Wi-Fi was spotty at best and unconnectable from my phone. Bathroom: There was a passive-aggressive sign in the bathroom claiming if I stole a hand towel, I’d be charged $15. One of my bath towels was blatantly stained. There was no drain stopper in the sink or tub. The wallpaper was peeling off the wall. Checkout: 7:30am No desk agent on duty. Someone from housekeeping was slouched over on her phone on one of the lobby couches. When she saw I was there to check out, I was instructed to just leave the key on the counter. No bill. No questions about my stay. Cold. The hotel parking lot is poorly lit in many areas and did not feel safe. Do not stay here. Plain and simple.

This has got to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. From the outside, it looks like an abandoned property. Rooms are functional. The clerk was curled up on the couch in lobby and refused until the 3 rd request to help. No continental breakfast even though at cost per night I would have expected one. My fault for not checking. Free coffee.coffeemaker was a joke.

In the first room we were assigned, the toilet bowl was broken. In the second room, the front door didn't lock from the inside. When I returned to the room later in the day, the room key no longer worked. When I complained to the front desk, I was told "This is a very old hotel." Well, this 'very old hotel' charged me $300/night. I will never stay here again, and I recommend no one else does as well!

Rating: 1 (but it is truly a negative rating) Front desk lady is very rude. We have circumstances where we brought our mom from MA to NY so she can vacation wih my brother and family who is arriving a day later. Due to iur work schedule, we drive her a day ahead and booked a room at this hotel due to the lower price. We spoke to the staff when we called and booked the room and asked for special allowance to: first, allow late checkout and if her ride has not arrived, to second, allow her to stay in a comfortable partnof the lobby till the time she is picked up, which we hope is around 3pm-ish, then third, have assistance to help bring her stuff to the lobby as she is 80+ years old and is not as strong to manage. We are told that we have to pay another night’s stay to make that happen and she is only allowed up to 1 hour to sit in the lobby. They also were charging a higher rate than identified in the reservation. It was $25 more that they claim will be returned if unused, as it covers the incidentals, which I do not understand what to cover, since they claim to have a restaurant, but it is closed, and there is no breakfast on the facility, not as identified in the website. Also, they had me sign an authorization to allow my mom to stay since I made the reservation in my name. We showed our displeasure on all this, and she said twice that we are taking too much of her time. By the way, when guests entered the facility, she rudely called to then and ask them what is their business here, and apparently, they have checked in already and was just going to their room with their family. She was rude from the start to the end. Hindsight, we should have recorded the conversation. At the end, we cancelled the reservation, but was not given any email acknowledging the cancellation. This was at 6 pm 9July2022. She wrote the cancellation nimber for me in a scratch paper but no official cancellation. I will monitor our account because if she does charge us for a room we did not use, we will surely report to the BBB. Management of this hotel, please py attention to your staff. I have atayed in many hotels around the world as I did travel for work, and never did I encounter front lobby staff that is as rude as this person. I am giving 1 star rating, but it should be negative ten stars as my rating, I normally rate 4 or 5 when pleased, and I am very easy to please. We are happy to pull her out of that reservation, and have her stay at a Marriott instead where she was allowed to stay in her room longer than needed, especially she was suffering from allergies and clearly needed the rest. If you are considering this hote for a quick convenient stay, even if just for the bed, please reconsider. Stay anywhere else instead of here.

Entirely rude and unhelpful staff,no customer service. Called front desk to ask a question, line rang and rang for minutes on end. Finally just walked over to front desk and staff person is gabbing away on a personal call. Reservation (and guest services book in the room) indicated that breakfast was included. Went to find breakfast in the morning and were informed there was no breakfast included. After our first night, asked housekeepers in hallway for extra hangers and mentioned we didn't need housekeeping service for the day, she said to make sure we hung the tag on our door (the only helpful person our entire stay). After night 2, we wanted housekeeping service+fresh towels so we took tag off door handle. Returned back later in the day to an untouched room. Went to front desk to ask why and for fresh towels. Were informed that we have to ASK for housekeeping service, which at no point was mentioned during checkin. So we at least asked for fresh towels, staff person said she didn't know where to get towels (how??), finally came back with ONE towel. My aunt asks for more because there are 3 of us in the room/on the reservation and she was incredibly rude about providing more, and then was in even more of a huff because we asked for 3 whole sets (handtowels, washcloths).

Front desk guy wasn't wear a mask. Coffee maker wasn't cleaned from the previous guest. Bathroom wasn't clean either. No breakfast included even the website listed as there is. The front desk lady was kind a rude. This place needs a major update on facilities and people who work there. I won't stay again.

Now that I have read the reviews I agree whole heartedly. The pictures must be years old. The hotels is rundown and the hallways were not clean. Of course they say that there is a restuarant attached but it is not open. On the positive side the room was clean. Certainly not worth the $180 it cost.
