Love it every single time
We have been going to the Rocking Horse Ranch for 3-4 years now. We go once in the summer and once in the winter and the place is lovely... its fun, full of action, so many family friendly activites and happy helpful staff. Every employee at the RHR mostly has a smile and is happy to help. Its 2-hrs away from manahattan (where we stay) and from all summer activites to skiing and ice skating in the winter, its a very relaxing weekend getaway for my family always.

This family resort never disappoints. Kids can't get enough.
A consistently well-managed family resort with excellent customer service. It has many great features, but I would say the always friendly, courteous and professional staff makes this place extra special. On check-out we always book the next visit.

everything great. My autistic son loves the ranch. The food was great. The snow tubing was great. My son had lots of fun on the water slide and I relaxed. The shows was great and most of the bingo was great

First time at Rocking horse ranch
Super fun place for the whole family. Will be back again for the summer. Staffs are excellent at costumer service. Amazing guides in the stables. All the horses are taken care of and healthy. Winter activities staff are excellent. They make sure that you will learn to ski. They very patient and nice.

Great family getaway
It was a memorable time their with my family. There was a ton of stuff to do and our days were filled with lots of laughs and smiles. We cannot wait to go back. We didnot utilize the kids club as we wanted to experience every aspect with them. Maybe their can be an area of open crafts for all kids instead of it just being offered to the children in the club. Just a suggestion.

Can anyone give us a sense of whether this is a good place for older (11-14YO) kids? Or does it mostly skew younger?
Key granddaughter was 13 and had a ball!

Would this be a good place for young and older adults. Or only for children ?
Definitely great for older adults and younger kids--that was our makeup. The three kids were 7, 7 & 8 and we all rode horses every day. My inlaws are in their 70s and they had a blast too--we even got my father-in-law (who has Parkinsons) on a paddleboat and also on the bouncer trampoline thing (with the help of the staff member working that section). They enjoyed watching the silly contests by the outdoor pool and the outdoor tent BBQ lunch days were fun with live music playing. We're going back next year!
