The tented camp is luxurious and beautiful. Set on a mostly dry river bed which offers some really great wildlife viewing in a gorgeous private game park which forms part of greater Kruger National Park. But it is the commitment of the entire staff here from housekeeping

My husband and I went on to SA for our honeymoon. We spent 4 days at Ngala Tented Camp and we wish we stayed for longer. It was definitely the glamping experience to the nines. It started right away- we were picked up promptly by a driver who drove us to the camp. We were

The air-con tented camps are amazingly luxurious with a king bed, bathtub and outdoor shower. This was our second all inclusive AndBeyond safari so we took a small, propeller plane from Kirkman's Kamp to Ngala, followed by a 50min ride to the tents. The pool is also used as a

What an experience! If you want to see all that Africa can be you will find it here. The accommodation, staff and game viewing is the highest standard. The pool is even fresh water so the elephants can come and drink from it. We loved it and hope to be back as soon as possible!

Do you have tents that can accommodate 4 people?
No - but the tents are reasonably close so you could book two adjacent ones. Best contact andBeyond directly for their help and advice especially if you tell them your specific needs. Ngala Main camp does have I believe a family suite

Does the resort supply binoculars on game drives.
The ranger has a pair that they let you borrow, but I would bring your own if you plan on using it the whole time.

As the previous person said, you won't be getting out of the vehicle except for during breaks for a drink/snack/potty. You also won't be standing in the vehicle, in part to keep from alarming the wildlife. My husband used a Canon 100-400L lens to get some amazing shots, including closeups of, for example, an elephant's eye or a beautifully colored bird. He rented it online--cheaper than buying such a large lens but if you're serious about getting great shots it was worth it. We brought a fixed lens camera for wider shots, which was useful for establishing context or shooting photos of the people on our drive. We also picked up a monopod in Johannesburg before heading out, but you might be able to get by with just a beanbag. I believe Ngala doesn't put more than six guests in any of its vehicles so everyone has a "window seat," although they're all open-air so you don't have to worry about a roof or frame blocking your view.

Usually laundry is returned same day. Why not buy some local shirts and leave them behind? At local prices, about same as hotel laundry and someone will be happy about your donation. - cheers

"Tent 7 has the best view over the riverbed."
"Tent 9 was a bit scary at night (as it was the furthest out), but I think the best tent with the most beautiful views from tent/balcony."
"Tents looking over the river bed have better views"
"ask for a room with a view of the river bed."
"All the rooms are equal."
