Auberge Clermont is a luxury guest house situated at the foot of the Franschhoek Mountains, on a picturesque wine and olive farm. Just a 10-15 minute walk from town, its position offers you the laid-back peace and quiet of a working farm with the bustling local high street virtually on your doorstep. Tastefully decorated rooms each reflect the tranquility of peaceful surroundings. Rooms offer mini-bars, coffee machines and tea trays; with small extra touches to make your stay even more enjoyable. Climate control in each room includes air conditioning and under floor heating in winter to ensure your utmost comfort. Free high speed wifi is available in all the rooms, the self-catering villa and the public lounge - which is also where our delicious Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz and award-winning olive oil are available for purchase. In summer, delicious breakfasts are served in the courtyard under a grand old oak & in winter guests dine in the breakfast room. If you feel like taking things slowly, laze under another old oak tree with a book,or by the pool, whilst enjoying the incredibly beautiful scenery. Or, you could go for a gentle stroll amongst plum orchards, olive groves and vines to where a gentle brook winds its way across the farm. If you're feeling slightly more energetic, a game of tennis might just do the trick. Of course, we offer advice and recommendations on the best places to visit in the valley and will provide you with everything you need to find your way around town and to wonderful local wineries, restaurants and places of interest. Our dedicated team looks forward to welcoming you!

We had a wonderful stay here. It is a great location 2 mins drive to franschoek and very walkable during the day. The villa is huge! In a lovely setting, so peaceful and with spectacular pool. The beds are super comfy the air conditioning quiet and effective and the showers hot and powerful. It is well equipped and the reception team couldn’t do enough for us. A very special stay thank you

We had the private villa at the end with the (cold) pool. 2 bedrooms and a separate annexe. We loved our stay here, the rooms were beautiful with nice touches like a bottle of Clermont red and fresh cut flowers and herbs in all bathrooms. Would have liked some bottles of water and more firewood readily available, but these can easily be purchased in town a 5 minute drive away. It's a 15m walk in the daytime but parking was easy so we just drove. A continental breakfast was laid out on our terrace every morning and someone would appear to take our cooked breakfast order. We could have done with more juice most mornings but this was a minor thing. There were 5 of us and my 16yo had the attic room (accessed by outside stairs) which she loved. The views will stay with me for a long time. Recommended.

This is a super B&B on a working farm, with vineyards & orchard all around & wonderful mountain views. Breakfast is freshly cooked to individual order after a goodsized dish of luscious fruits, some grown on the spot. We loved having fresh milk for our tea/coffee tray. It's a little way out of town, so very quiet, and the Ubers are very efficient. Approx 35-40 mins walk to the wine tram terminal. The Huguenot Museum is worth visiting - don't miss the Perfume museum attached - you can't miss the Monument! Hussar restaurant needs booking but good steaks.

What a gorgeous place and beautifully decorated in a subtle French country style that is so tasteful. We stayed in the villa, which has its own pool and spacious living area. Two downstairs bedrooms, one en-suite, with a sitting room, dining room and kitchen. An additional, very large bedroom suite is upstairs, via a separate entrance. We sneaked a look at the other rooms in the location, they are all immaculate and several have great views. Our private veranda looked out over the vines and off in to the mountains, from which you could watch incredible sunsets and the moon rising. highly recommend the little local tuk-tuk to get you in and out of town if you don't want to walk. Such a lovely chap, he deserves a mention as he ferried us around quite a lot.

What a beautiful and idyllic hostel surrounded by the vineyards. You feel like you're in Provence. Our room was very spacious and cozy, the pool invites you to swim and you can take a nice walk through the entire estate.

The service is very warm - we felt very comfortable!

Of particular note are two service highlights:
1. I had given two tops to iron, which was done immediately during our breakfast
2. we had left our passports in the safe upon departure. Since we were already in Stellenbosch and had arranged to have lunch with friends at Erni Els, we should have returned in the afternoon. The boss Angela then brought us the passports to Erni Els during lunch.

That was a really great service!
Thanks again, dear Angela.

Stunning location and so lovely to be out of town (but in walking distance). Nothing was too much trouble for this hotel - we arrived early and were immediately shown to our rooms, even though we were a couple of hours early for check-in, we were frequently late to breakfast but it was no trouble and after we'd checked out we were offered evening showers before our flight home. Exceptional service, very clean and welcoming & a fab breakfast too. We came to this place on a recommendation from friends and will definitely be spreading the news

Our family of 10 had a lovely two night stay at the Auberge, Clermont. The setting in a vineyard is lovely and the surroundings are idyllic with fantastic reviews of the surrounding mountains. A local taxi delivered us into Fransshoek for an evening meal and collected us later. All rooms were very well appointed, comfortable and decorated. The breakfast room was also a lovely treat with a great spread laid on. Caroline at the front desk did everything she could to help us during our stay. It would be fantastic to see this place in the summertime.

The most calming and wonderful place to stay if in Franschhoek. Just outside the town, but access everywhere easy and quick.

Set in owners’ small farm with beautiful walks through vines, fruit and olive trees, it is a place of tranquility with the most stunning scenery all around. Dawn and sunsets were fabulous.

So was the experience. Beautiful and comfortable room, fabulous breakfasts, and a complimentary bottle of their own wine, meant it was the perfect way to start and finish each day of exploring. Pool looked so inviting but will have to wait for slightly warmer weather!

We had an amazing stay here in January 2023. The grounds are just incredible, with the accommodation set amongst the vineyards. The owners were so accommodating, on New Years Day when we couldn't get an Uber they so kindly drove us to our lunch destination so we wouldn't miss our reservation. We had a fantastic stay and we can't wait to stay here again. Breakfast is also great with fresh fruit and then a very good choice of breakfast dishes.
