My wife and I stayed at the Marlane one week in August and two weeks in September this year. It was highly recommended by a friend. We are so glad we discovered a gem. This is the best place we have ever stayed, period. The owners, Chris and Lisa are very kind and courteous. They make you feel like family. The motel is very clean and the rooms are extremely comfortable. The pool is spotless and well maintained. There are chairs that are both in the sun and shade to enjoy. There are tables and grills outside near the pool area, so you can cook and eat on site. The atmosphere is fantastic. I can t say enough good things about the Marlane. We spend a lot of time in Wildwood each summer with our good friends, who also stayed at the Marlane. Looking forward to coming back to the Marlane next year. Can't wait......

My family (husband and two little boys) stayed at the Marlane Motel last week for four nights. It was a perfect getaway in difficult times. The room was ready earlier than expected. Everything was immaculate. Every day the room was cleaned to pristine standards. The owners were so nice and went out of their way to be accommodating. Because we have small kids, we knew we'd be at the boardwalk a lot. The location is great - you're a block away from the south end of the boardwalk. I timed the walk - it's five minutes... another five minutes and you're on the beach (don't forget how wide the beach is in Wildwood). The area was very quiet. There was a bagel shop, pub, and cafe all in walking distance. You really didn't have to move your car if you didn't want to. Every day we were on the beach by 10 am and then went back to the pool by 2. It was also spotless. Someone scrubbed the chairs down every morning. The value was great. Our stay was wonderful. We hope to be back!!

We arrived in Wildwood for a 2 night mental health break after losing my mom 3.5 weeks ago and so glad we stayed at the Marlane Hotel. The location was perfect! It was close enough to walk to the boardwalk, the three piers, convention center and local restaurants but far enough to allow a quiet experience in the neighborhood. The check-in process was easy. Lisa was very welcoming and kind. She gave great information and recommendations for restaurants in the area. We were in room 208 which was on the 2nd floor and faced the pool. Spacious for two people to enjoy as I was traveling with my daughter on a last minute trip. The bathroom had a nostalgic appeal with the tiles and doorknobs. The water pressure was AMAZING in the shower and we never ran out of hot water. There was no vent in the bathroom but it had a window you could open. The microwave in room and fridge came in handy to store leftovers and snacks. The A/C worked great. The beds were a bit firm for my liking but I made the best of it. I got to enjoy the pool on Friday and it was so refreshing. I actually did not want to get out...LOL. I would stay here again. Disliked · There was no coffee/breakfast service due to COVID. I stayed at another hotel in July which was able to do to go which would have been nice. The beds were firm and a bit uncomfortable for my liking. The towels were thin and smaller than what I am accustomed too. If you are a big person, it can be "challenging". Considering how much we paid for the stay, I guest I expected better. No fault of the motel, however local restaurants do not take reservations so the wait can extensive to get a meal. We ate at Stella's Cafe for breakfast, Little Italy for dinner and ubered to North Wildwood for dinner at the North End American Grill. Kelly's cafe has music at night which you can hear from the rooms if you are trying to go to bed early. One of the neighboring guests did not observe quiet hours in the morning and woke us up each day.

We stayed at the Marlane Motel twice recently -- once at the end of June and again at the end of July -- each time for a long weekend. I was sad to leave each time. I had not been to Wildwood since approximately 15 years ago. The owners of this property are wonderful people! It was worth the trip. They do a terrific job of keeping the grounds clean, and it is a family friendly atmosphere. Parking at the motel is good too, no problem for us finding a spot. They offer Boogie Boards and Beach chairs to borrow if guests would like to. This is very helpful and a great plus not to have to pack these items when tight on space in the car. So easy to borrow and return when done. There is a park across the street and the owners have basketballs and tennis rackets if guests would like to borrow to use at the park across the street. There is a clothes line in the back of the motel and an ice machine (always had ice). They also offer two BBQ grills to use (utensils in the office), and we used that one night as well. Nice break from the boardwalk food, and we made our own burgers and hot dogs. Pool is very clean and we used it each day. There is a small kiddie area at the pool, the first time we went in June, my 2-year old nephew used this and loved it! This motel is One block from where the boardwalk starts (by the Convention Center) - very convenient. BEACH: The beach is a bit of a hike to the water line, but if you plan well and bring only what you need, or have a wagon/cart, then it is easier. I enjoyed the exercise. We only saw portable bathrooms, no full public bathroom on the beach itself. So plan accordingly for that and bring hand sanitizer, etc. There is an option to park the car on the beach ($10 fee I believe) but we did not do that. There is a cafe across the street from Marlane Motel (Kelly's) which had good food and we did take-out from there a couple of times during our stay. This past weekend we stayed there, there were 6 of us, so we got the Breezeway Apartment (2 adjoining rooms) and this was great space for us - 2 bathrooms, 2 rooms with an adjoining door, 2 microwaves, 2 mini frigs, 2 mini safes (we did use these as well). One side of the room had a table with two chairs by the window, one queen bed and one double bed. The other side of the room had a taller table with two stools to sit at, and a queen bed and a twin size sofa bed. Everyone slept comfortably. We did not request room cleaning while there, when we needed something replenished (like towels), we asked in the office (wear a mask) - we took the old ones with us to the office and easily requested clean towels. Never an issue. They have a roof top area which is nice for relaxing (tables and chairs up there too), to watch the sunset and just hang out. When the pool got shady later in the day and I needed to dry off from the pool, I went up there to dry off because it stayed sunny up there. They also have a covered section with a few tables at the front of the hotel and another covered section with additional tables/chairs in the back of the hotel (near BBQ grills). We loved this and gives guests room to spread out and socially distance while still being outside. We found chairs at the pool each day too. The bathrooms are small and it is fine, it's vacation, everything worked and there is a hairdryer in the bathrooms too. One downside is there is no vent, and that is the only downside of the property. There is a small window you can crank open in the bathroom but it could still use a vent. We will be back - already looking forward to next time!

My family and I stayed at Marlane Motel this week and it was great. We were worried about cleanliness because we have bad experiences in Wildwood but this place exceeded our expectations. Every morning the pool is cleaned, all the railings and chairs were wiped, and the rooms were spotless. From checking in we felt very welcomed by the owner and she couldn’t have been nicer. Very relaxing environment and a block from the beach. Will definitely stay here again.
