Stayed here when visiting family- WHAT A HIDDEN GEM! The house is gorgeous- a true country manor in a quiet country estate. Rooms are fantastic - think ‘country-house-chic’ spotlessly clean and sumptuous throughout Dinner (tasting menu!) was tasty, immaculately presented and well-priced. If you want a great, classy, but friendly stay in this area, I truly doubt you will find anything better at the price. Book it, Danno!

A lovely experience in beautiful and secluded surroundings. Mum and I were returning to Yorkshire to catch up with Mum’s last surviving Aunt. The Hall is a dream. Superbly renovated and restored with every member of staff friendly, keen to please and genuinely proud of their association with the Hall. The food was generous and good quality with the breakfast and English classics at the forefront. The grounds were a pleasure to wander around and I even managed a jog and indoor cycle in the gym to attempt to offset some of the calories! The rooms are exceptionally good value with space, luxurious bathrooms and beds to enjoy. The little extras such as quality toiletries and bottles of juice all add to the experience. I was so pleased to have chosen the Hall and would strongly recommend to anyone for a meal with a unique character or an indulgent stay!

We cannot be happier we found Rossington Hall to host my husband's milestone birthday party. We had around 20 guests for this event. From the start of planning to finish, I cannot fault anything and everything ran like clockwork. First of all, we wanted to start the celebration with a Race Day in Doncaster. I googled for a hotel to host our evening dinner and entertainment near the racecourse. By pure chance, I saw Rossington Hall on TripAdvisor and I was very impressed with the reviews and photos. I arranged to view the venue and I was not disappointed. I must be honest, the long drive with uneven track was very misleading and I certainly wasn't expecting such a magnificent building! I met Lucy, the co-ordinator to discuss arrangements for accommodation, evening dinner and entertainment. Lucy was so accommodating and even arranged transportation for us to and from the Race Course. Menus, wine list etc nothing was too difficult and she communicated with me throughout. On the day, all our guests were so impressed with the impressive building, quirky interior and we enjoyed our coffee before going to the races late morning. As we were there before check in time, all our luggage were tagged for the appropriate rooms near reception. When we got back from the races around 6 pm, all our luggage were already taken up to our room and check in went smoothly. We stayed in the Salvyn Room and it was absolutely splendid! We just love the décor and the separate dressing and bathroom space. We booked 10 rooms and all our guests were just in awe of the place and their rooms. Our dinner service and food were outstanding! I would give Rossington Hall 10 out of 10 if not more! All the staff were excellent but I’d like to mention 2 who went beyond the call of duty were Debbie and Andrea. My personal experience with Rossington Hall was just outstanding and I would highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely be back!

We were really looking forward to a full weekend here with no other plans but to relax and enjoy all Rossington hall had to offer. It was a last minute weekend booking as my partner works away a lot and I work really long hard hours (blue light card). I will start at the beginning, the road leading to the hall needs a lot of work, my partner was concerned driving down with all the pot holes and we were a little apprehensive looking at the surroundings; caravan and piles of debris. However the hall was beautiful, yes it does need a little TLC on the outside but inside we were greeted by friendly professional staff in a very warm majestic entrance. We were very happy with this and check in swift after a long day at work. We requested breakfast in our room which was arranged and we very grateful for this pleasure. We went to our room which was beautiful and even a greeting from the wildlife on our balcony however Prosecco ordered was not there so partner chased this up - he was disappointed as it was to be a surprise on entrance to the room. It arrived promptly once requested in the lobby. we changed and took drinks before eating in conservatory. Opting for soup/risotto balls, chicken/tagine, sticky toffee pudding. All lovely especially the dessert. We retired to the drawing room briefly before heading to bed. The following morning the breakfast were a little incorrect but still enjoyable. We headed out to enjoy the local wildlife park and housekeeping cleaned the room. On return we changed and enjoyed the bookable hot tub - perhaps a pathway could be installed as walking across the actual garden in sandles left my feet wet and dirty. We then changed for another fantastic evening meal consisting of Yorkshire puddings and beef mains and gain the delicious sticky toffee pudding. We then had a bottle of wine in the drawing room which was a fantastically elegant room as was the entire building I really enjoy this style and the period features. We were relaxed and content looking forward to our late check out and heading out for the day in the Sunday however this is where things took a turn for us. We retired to bed early as usual around 10pm having a cup of tea and chatting - the bath is fantastic so deep and luxurious with sensational toiletries I especially liked the bath salts And slippers. Around 11.30 we heard several guests heading to their rooms presuming they would soon settle we went to sleep. I was woken roughly every hour for the next three hours and my partner had no sleep despite using ear plugs. By around 1.30 we called the night porters as the room next door had appeared to move into the hallway to chat to other guests. By 2.30am the conversation was so loud we could hear every word and my partner even recorded some of it the night porters came up and attempted to settled the guests who clearly had indulged in far too many beverages. 3.30 came around and my partner told me to pack up I went to try to find someone in the lobby and my partner rang night porters to arrange out departure. They were came to inform guests the room that guests were checking out due to the noise level but the room refused to open the door. We headed down stairs myself in my pyjamas around four am. The night porters were lovely offered me a cup of tea I declined as I had already one around two am trying to settled back to sleep and apology andthat we would joy pay the night we didn’t stay, we laughed about some of the conversation we had both heard the noisy guests saying. We drive home disappointed and losing an entire day of our trip. I especially expected to be contacted and compensated my partner is more subdued though and eventually sent an email requesting a bill and informing staff of the issue. A polite response of the will send an amended bill. Then today they took full payment. I told my partner to request an actual bill which he then received -we did bot get charged the night we didn’t stay however charged in full for everything else. My partner didn’t bother chasing this up but I must say I was extremely dissatisfied that our very rare weekend in such a wonderful place was ruin and not compensated, I would of thought ensuring customers are happy to return would of outweighed this and they should of knocked the night we did stay off as a good will gesture or even offer a free night in the future (as they would still make money on restaurant and drinks - which exceeded the cost of the room). So all in all I would say great place however any issues do not expect to be resolved to your satisfaction or in a timely manner

lovely old place full of character, rooms are spacious , our bathroom ensuite was beautifully refurbed and very spacious . Our room was very clean no dust anywhere , a credit to the cleaners given the type of property. Outside does need a little updating but led to believe this is ongoing. Close enough to Bawtry if you need to go into town by taxi as we did. Overall a great place to stay. Breakfast was really good , plenty of choice with big portions ! Staff were pleasant and helpful. Onsite bar was well stocked . Would stay again .
