Tahiti Village Resort & Spa garners mixed reviews, with many guests praising its spacious rooms and array of amenities such as the pool and lazy river. However, some travelers are turned off by hidden fees and question the value for money.
While the resort's location near the airport and the Las Vegas Strip is a highlight for guests, along with the complimentary shuttle service, opinions on service and atmosphere are divided, with criticism focused on outdated elements and inconsistent housekeeping.

We have always wanted to stay at this tropical oasis in Las Vegas. Finally had a chance Aug 31 to Sep 7.
First want to mention that the location is off Strip, but there is a handy shuttle that runs every half hour. Stops are presently Excalibur and Treasure Island. There is also a grocery run a few times a week. Bottled water is offered on the shuttle, which I thought was a nice touch as the week we visited was very hot.
Second, you have to keep in mind that this is a family friendly resort. We were there over Labour Day weekend and the pool and lazy river were crowded with kids. It quieted down on Tuesday, but something to keep in mind if you are planning a visit during holiday periods.
Front Desk and Concierge staff are pleasant, accommodating and helpful. We were offered early check in and late check out. This is subject to availability. Dale was our Bell Boy and he was great in getting our bags up to the room and stored on check out, as we had a late flight.
The pizza restaurant is good, offering pizza by the slice as well as larger sizes. The sit down restaurant had good food and staff there are amazing. A 24 hour Denny's is also located on site, which was a great option for breakfast or late night snacks. There is also a little coffee shop and gift store that had a limited grocery item selection.
We did the Luau night, which included a small buffet style dinner and show outdoors under a tent like setting. The singers and dancers were excellent.
Rooms at Tahiti Village are condo style and depending on the configuration you book, have all the amenities of home. We had the 2 bedroom Royal Tahitian, which easily sleeps 8 people if you use the sofa beds. 2 bathrooms, a full and partial kitchen, 4 televisions, good A/C, washer and dryer and a large balcony. Beds were comfortable. We didn't have a great view, but rarely went outside due to the heat wave.
But the main attraction has to be the lazy river, hot tub and pool areas. So relaxing, beautiful and there are lots of loungers. Palm trees and lush foliage. You would swear you were in the tropics and not in Las Vegas. We spent the majority of our time floating on the lazy river.
Now for the negative. If you are a smoker, Tahiti Village has a very strict smoking policy. Absolutely no smoking (not even on your balcony) other than in four small designated smoking areas. There is a big fine if you disregard the rules.
All in all, this was probably one of the nicest places we have stayed in Las Vegas. Perfect for anyone wanting to avoid the craziness of the Strip, but be 10 minutes away from it.

We stayed in this resort hotel for 4 nights with my family of 6 (w/ 2 kids and parents). We booked this place from Airbnb and stayed in 2B2BR suite (technically what we got was 2 - 1B1BR suites). Things to note with this place Pros: 1. The rooms were spacious, sufficient with all things that are necessary and working well (such as hairdryer, iron, appliances in kitchen, showers, etc.,). We were very happy with the space as we had 2 separate bedrooms (w/ comfy king beds),kitchens (1 full and another kitchenette) and bathrooms. 2. The free shuttle to strip (runs every 30mins) was super convenient and punctual throughout. The shuttle stops at Excalibur and treasure island, which is convenient to most of the strip attractions and we didn't drive. We used free trams from Excalibur to Mandalay bay/Bellagio. The hotel is close to south of the strip which took less than 15mins for us to reach the strip by shuttle. 3. The hotel has 17'S restaurant, nice pizza place, small kids arcade,24/7 Denny's and convenience store too. Also within just 1 to 2miles there is plenty of good restaurants (El Gordo, Bootlegger's, Black bears diner, etc.,),Smith's ,Premium outlets, etc., 4. There is a separate safe free parking garage which was less crowded during our stay. This was easy to entry/exit multiple times in a day. Cons: 1. There were covered parking closer to the room stays, however none of them were available during our entire stay, so we had to park in garage and walk atleast 15mins to reach our room. 2. We requested housekeeping to clean our room on our 2night of stay, but we were told that the room will be cleaned only once in a week, we didn't really like and appreciate that as the trash, used towels were not picked up and cleaned. 3. The property itself is quite close to airport on top of it our room balcony was facing the airport rental car which was very noisy. 4. The pillows were totally plushy and very uncomfortable, although the beds were comfy. Though there are plenty of things that we didn't like in this property, this property is still good for families looking to avoid the strip frenzy hotels (which charges daily resort and parking fees, etc.,).

This property is great during the summer. We were just there, and the heated lazy river was empty, and so was the adult-only hot tub. We were placed at the very end of the resort, as far away from the front of the resort, and were told we could not move due to being sold out, which was not even close to true. The rooms are extremely outdated with old carpets and furniture and for us who cook in the appliances and pots and pans were very old. The dishwasher was falling out from under the countertop. They do not provide body wash when most hotels and motels at least provide that. We had to contact the front office for more of almost everything we had six people in an eight-person room, and there was not enough of anything. We would stay again only because it's familiar to us now but for that reason only.

Recently stayed July 2024 and the room was terrible. Couch cushions very dirty and looks like they have not been cleaned in years, spots all over the couch just very nasty and did not want to sit on it. Bathroom shower head was disgusting, lots of corrosion and detaching from the wall, the tubs faucet leaked and the tub stopped up when showering, toilet was clogged. Dents/ wholes/ scratches in the wall. Bathroom needs a full face lift. Dusty ceilings. Electrical outlets failing off wall, needs to be replaced. Be careful with small children…Bedroom furniture was scratched. The entire room was uninviting and disgusting.
Mail pool was down due to a maintenance issue. Overcrowded lazy river.
This resort needs to do something better with their rooms to make guess feel confident that you care about their vacation stay.
Very disappointed in my stay.

I can’t say enough about how great our experience was! We have previously always stated at the Grandview and had no idea what we’ve been missing! The front desk was understanding of my daughter being autistic and made sure we not only had a quiet room but also a great view. We were not harassed once about her service dog which is something we deal with regularly when staying at resorts in Las Vegas. I even had a security guard literally chase me in a golf cart at the Grandview yelling and screaming at me because he didn’t believe I registered my service dog with the front desk. The pools were maintained and I loved that they were shallow enough I didn’[t have to worry about drowning and there ware always adequate lifeguards. My only regret is we were here on business and i wished I had more time to enjoy it all. We WILL be back!

This was our first time in Las Vegas and the hotel's shuttle was such a great help getting to and back from the strip. Besides the shuttle there were many more great amenities. I did not take advantage of many because I had a fully booked schedule for the week. The room was clean, although I have to say that there was a slight odor (I want to stress "light" odor) when entering the apartment. The fridge was too big for the space which made reaching the dishes a bit uncomfortable. However, I left the dishes on the counter.. I preferred the fridge space. Yes, the furniture is a bit dated but I was comfortable. I used the washer and dryer (They provide a single use pack of detergent). The kitchen had everything you need to make meals and they have a whole section in the premises of grills. I saw many different people using them every single day. They were very accommodating as well; I was able to do an early check in and a late check out due to my arrival and departure time. Overall, my stay here made my first visit of Las Vegas a great one!

After sending a review to both RCI and Somerpointe Resorts and not hearing a word in response here goes:
We own 2 units here through Somerpoint. We had a 2 bedroom unit reserved for July 18th through July 22nd. I called on the Monday before arrival and requested a room facing the pool, also mentioned other family member were meeting us there and requested we be close together after fully realizing that these were requests and not guaranteed. I also mentioned to the gentleman I spoke with that we were arriving early should it be possible to check in early. He was great but never got his name. We stopped at the store on our way and had about 6 bags of assorted groceries and refrigerated items.
We arrived at the resort about 1PM and went to the Owners counter at check in. The relatives we were traveling with arrived before us and were already in their room. We were greeted by a shorter young female who told us our room wasn’t ready yet and would hopefully be ready in a short time. So we went out to our car and brought in our baggage and groceries and the bellhop “Q” helped us get everything into the storage room and refrigerators. He was the best staff we encountered on our visit. We gave our phone number to the girl who was trying to get us in and went into 17 degrees South and met our relatives. 2 hours later and 3 stops back at the checkin counter for a progress report, I asked to speak to a manager. A middle aged medium height woman with dark hair came to speak with us. She had a condescending, curt attitude right from the beginning and the point that she made very clear to me was that checkin time was 4PM and she didn’t have to get us into a room until then and walked away.
At 355PM we were alerted that our room as ready and again Q was great with getting our stuff up to the room. The pool view room had a partial Lazy River view and the rest was parking lot and airport so the room we waited for wasn’t worth the wait. Additionally our relatives were a floor and wing away from us in the high rise. Thanks for your consideration TVR and Somerpoint!
Our stay was fine and everything was great other than very spotty shuttle service and information but the grounds were well maintained and attended to and the facilities, pool and lazy River were great.
We, of course got the pitch to go to the Owners Update Review which we signed up for on Sunday July 22 at 930AM. We arrived early checked in and waited. Everyone else waiting including a couple who arrived after us were picked up taken to their meeting room. At 950 we went back up to the checkin person who told us our person as running late. As we were waiting a middle aged blonde woman with glasses walked past us twice while talking on her phone. She never greeted us or offered any type of explanation so we left and walked past her still on her phone and told the checkin person we weren’t waiting any longer.
Never heard a word from anyone regarding any of that. Pretty surprising that she though her time was more important to her and apparently Somerpoint never thought we deserved an explanation or apology!

There’s very little to recommend this place. It looks good, is conveniently located, the apartments are spacious, beds were OK and the staff seemed friendly, but that’s about it.
On arrival at 5pm we queued for 45 minutes to check in and were told we might have up to 3 hours wait for our apartment. Two hours later we went to ask for the WiFi code and found the room was ready but nobody had bothered to let us know.
Once in the apartment we realised the dishwasher was full of dirty water and clearly the filter was clogged. We reported it and also asked for a few other missing items - coffee filters, baking sheet, extra coat hangers and small saucepan (the only saucepan was a huge stock pot).
Nothing happened, so we asked the front desk again the next day. A maintenance engineer came and condemned the dishwasher - the replacement never materialised so we had to hand wash all week. Three more attempts to get the requested items (and a replacement dishwasher) failed. By this time the phones had failed too so we had to visit the desk in person. So, we gave up and made do. We didn’t bother to report the missing sink plug in the smaller unit, the dilapidated washing machine, the missing dryer filter, or the leaking fridge because what would have been the point?
The front desk were friendly and gave every impression of intending to deliver on their promises but there are no systems to ensure that this happens. From reading other reviews on here and Google our experience is clearly not an isolated one. Platitudes from customer services will not persuade us to stay here again or recommend it to others.

We stayed in a very large room that was actually two joining rooms with the door open in between, with a full kitchen, washer and dryer and dishwasher. A relaxing lazy river and amazing pool area with a sand beach really top off the property. You can also find table tennis, giant connect four games and BBq's.

I checked in on sunday to spend thanksgiving with my family in vegas. To begin with the lazy river was closed and no jot tub available for kids. We called tuesday for maid service we were told we had to schedule 24 hrs in advance, returned wed from being out and our room was still dirty. Called front desk and we were told that they didnt have time to clean but can put us down the next day at 10am. Woke up my kids because housekeeping was coming, called front desk and we were told that they would find out was going and call me back. An hr goes by and no call, we call front desk and i get transferred to the front desk manager and she tells me housekeeping is only available when you stay for 7 days. I asked her so why wasnt this disclosed to me on tuesday? She stated i dont know, i told her it would have been nice if someone said something on tuesday. I told her that for being an owner the service that is provided is the worst i have ever received and most likely will never return! Her response was “ok” thats how you treat owners I will make sure none of my family nor friends ever purchase from you all. She stated “ok” you can now give your front desk manager the employee of the year award!!! She was working on thanksgiving day at 11:30am sounded asian very broken english. Dont come here and dont purchase anything from them, once you give them your money they can care less about you!!!

There is a free grocery store shuttle every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning that runs every 30 minutes from 8 am to 10 am.
Not sure if they do deliveries but you could easily arrange delivery through Vons, Wal Mart or other services.
They had a fairly large parking lot and I can't say with 100% surety that I saw a charging station. I highly recommend contacting the resort because they have different buildings and a charging station may have been at a building where I was not lodged. Sorry, I could not help.
There are more places to choose from in the Las Vegas area.
