You couldn´t really be any closer to the strip than by actually being ON the strip. So that´s a big plus. Personal is really friendly and helpful. But, as it is a Marriott hotel, it´s rather expensive. The only downside here
Stayed there with my family and LOVED it! It was great because there wasn't a casino in it but they did have fun activities going on each day like they had a magician, free drinks, pool parties, etc. Very clean and the staff was super...More

Rather than base your plans on secondhand information, I urge you to call the Grand Chateau for a direct answer. I I called them and they were quick to answer the phone and respond with an answer to my question regarding resort fees (they confirmed that they do not charge a resort fee and the main reason I called was because someone in the TripAdvisor forums said that they did even though I knew that was incorrect according to the booking information I read). The point being, I received an answer directly from the hotel rather than relying on what someone, who is not associated with the hotel, wrote in these forums. You have no recourse if you rely on advice from other travelers versus receiving information directly from the hotel.

It can be cold during March. Pools are open. One pool is heated and the second is not. Always call the front deck to double check. The pools are outdoor pools. The older pool is really pretty but cold wind can make it uncomfortable. The newer pool is a little more sheltered from the winds. This is a beautiful resort and you will have an amazing vacation.
