Hotel and Casino were exactly what I expected. Yes, it is out-dated, but our room was clean and nicely appointed. Shower needs replacing. But enough negative. I felt safe even outside at night by myself. The machines were not so cramped as I have seen in the Strip casinos. I started talking with a worker and he was not only patient with my ridiculous questions - he spent a couple of minutes explaining the stuff I hadn't asked yet. Most importantly, he seemed happy to do it. It is definitely more laid back and I would consider going back. I only gave I 4 start because the rooms need updating.
What a dump. Curtain didn't cover window, shower to dirty to use, furniture looked like it came from a garage sale. To smoky to eat in coffee shop. Never again. Lock on door was broken, floors were less than clean.
We stayed 3 nights in the room from hell. The place was sold out as was everything within 20 miles. Started off with a 45 minute wait because the one elevator was broken. Got to the room and the air conditioning did not work, the shower was hard to turn on which doesn't matter cause once we got it on there was no hot water and no pressure at all. Light bulbs missing from the lamps, our chargers just slid out of the outlets. And everything just felt filthy. Finally laid down to go to sleep and the beds are rock hard. Staff seemed uninterested in the complaints. They did send someone to work on ac on day 2. He pulled the filters which were caked with dust. He was nice enough but didn't even attempt to fix the shower. It honestly feels like they've just given up on the place. This place should be condemned!…
It's a casino so the ground floor is noisy, active and smoky exactly like what you'd expect from a casino. Comfortable and not to crowded. Enough food choices to satisfy. Nice views and pleasantly located. It has everything you need for a quick get away.
stayed one night, hotel is old and smelly, even the elevator. I can see they are building a new hotel, but the lack of winning in casino means you are paying for the new hotel. had some new machines and very old ones too. left very early in the morning as not to be tempted to play more
We were faithful customers since 1993. They had a great Comp system with points for rooms, meals, cash and gifts. Their RV Parking area was accessible for large rigs. The Buffet featured a Steak Night, Seafood Night, and was usually very good. The wait staff was top notch. Fast Forward to the "New & Improved" Railroad Pass....the Buffet is gone....the Comp System is now bare bones.... RV's are No Longer Allowed in the Truck Parking Areas. We parked our long (60'+ total length) RV in the truck area and security immediately raced up and informed us we couldn't park there. Told us to move to the car parking area, which no way could accommodate our long rig. Basically they Do Not Want RV'ers business it appears. We are sad they have taken this "RV Unfriendly" stance. We spent a LOT of money there over the years. Sadly they won't get any more of our business. But apparently they could care less.…
This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at rooms filthy hotel smells like dog pee everything dirty shower has mold growing in the floor. Had toput a towel on floor to take a shower. Went to their iron skillet restaurant and tiles fell out of the ceiling cause they were soaking wet with water lakes and fell on a customer's head. Air conditioner in the room doesn't work and leaks water everywhere. I would never recommend this hotel I wouldn't Stay here for free.
First the pictures on the website are deceiving. The room was run down and not clean. I had to clean it with clorox wipes. The bathroom shower was terrible, no water pressure and we had to fix the handle to get it to work. The bars sell the same drinks for different prices and they are only 50 feet apart. My simple vodka cran at one was 12 and the other a little bit later was 7. Staff was rude, I put in my reservation we would be there at 3pm. I was told the non smoking floor is not cleaned and available until 4 the check in time. This was funny since I had to clean it when we got into the room. The entire hotel is run down with tape holding the carpet down. The elevator broke and we needed a security person to take us up to our floor ( with others) to unlock the doors at the floors, although mechanical issues can happen, I have never needed security to go up a fire stairway to unlock doors. The food at the cafe was decent but the timing is horrible when you watch other who came in and ordered later than you get food first with no explanation from waitstaff. Pool was dirty with foam from a construction project, birds dive the pool thinking it is bugs. No one seemed to want to clean it. I do not recommend this hotel which is disappointing since it is historic, but even historic hotels are kept up and staff is friendly, unfortunately this is not the case.…
We needed a place to sleep for part of a night after a long flight. The hotel met our needs. The staff--all the hotel people we had contact with--went above & beyond. They know they have a 'no frills' facility right now. They're in the process of building a new hotel next door, then modernizing (if you were a casino-goer it is certainly adequate). Should mention the baked goods along are worth the stop!
Our Vegas o flight got in late. We just planned to stay here one night because it was so late and head on into Arizona in the morning. The room was dirty - dust, lint, and detritus all over the carpet - vey obviously not vacuumed. The room was run down and dated. There were long black hairs in the shower. One small bottle of body wash but NO SOAP! Then, when my husband got into bed a bug crawled across the sheet. By this time it was around 2 am. We slept until 6:30 and got up and checked out. They were very nice and apologetic when we reported our experience and said they would deduct the resort fee ($10). But I didn’t get a receipt so I’m not sure the cost or deduction.
