We had stayed at this hotel 4 years prior and had a positive experience, so decided to go back. We made our reservation and were told we could check in early, around 8 a.m. We had been up since 12:30 a.m. and were traveling with a little kid. We arrived at 7:30 to be told we needed to wait until 10. At 10 we went back to the hotel and were told we needed to wait until 12:00 (3:00 p.m. our time). Around 12 our room was still not ready. It was the middle of the summer (travel is marked as October of 21 instead of July because I could not select a date that far back) and it was HOT with nowhere to go with a little who just desperately needed to sleep and rest. So we got in the car and decided to just drive. We finally got a call around 1 that our room was ready. When we showed up it was not ready. We explained the situation and felt like we had been more than patient. It was now after check-in time of 3 p.m. and we had been waiting on early check-in since 8 a.m. with no room still ready. They rushed to clean a room for us supposedly, but the manager at the time said she had to be sure the AC was working because there had been some issues. If so, she was sure we would like the room. We were escorted to our room that had a bad smell. We were exhausted after being up for hours and travel, but after they left I found white powder all over a closet floor, around the bed on floor. The smell was AWFUL and there was dust and dog fur all over furniture. When I asked about room being cleaned more thoroughly I was told they could give me a vacuum, but housekeeping was not allowed inside the room now that we had checked in due to COVID. Ugh. The more we looked at the room the more it was apparent it was FILTHY. We went to the front desk and asked for our original room, even if we had to wait again. We were told it would not be ready until after 5 p.m. but they would call us since we now had dinner plans. We left and when out received a call that our original room was just not available. WHAT?! They said they would take $100 off our room for the trouble. Keep in mind this was not our original room as they admitted and it was FILTHY and they had no issues expecting me to clean it. When we showed up at the hotel an hour or two later we were greeted by a front desk clerk who had 'inherited' our problem. We finally asked to be moved to a room that was not a 2 room suite and said we would move rooms to a 2 room suite the next day. While our room was not perfect it was much better, but it was ridiculous that we waited over 9 hours for our original room only to be told it was a mistake and the man in our room renewed his stay??? Our bill ended up being a complete mess and we were not refunded the $100/night as they said or the other discount that had been mentioned earlier. The pool was also not working which is a big part of why we had booked this hotel. A non-working pool in 115 degree weather with no promise to fix it anytime soon or rectify the situation only added to the issue. That alone would have been a disappointment, but the whole stay was a nightmare.…
Excellent stay. Good facility and a cheerful greeting at 2am after a long difficult drive. Enjoyed the big suite and amenities. Clean and well maintained. Easy to find and check in. Good breakfast, too.
I just wanted to commend the staff at Marriott TownPlace Suites especially Toffee who helped us with our reservation and check in. My senior parents and their two geriatric dogs were refugees from the power outage in Laughlin and Bullhead City during the heatwave. Toffee got the call that we were trying to find a first-floor handicap accessible hotel room and went to work, she got them a lovely suite and saved the day. The suite was on the first floor, handicap accessible and was in close proximity of a dog area to take the dogs outside. She was so helpful, kind and patient she really saved the day. The next day I called the hotel to ask if my parents could get a late check out as I was delayed and I needed to be there to help them load the car and manage the dogs, the gentleman at the front desk Lamar offered to help them, I was really relieved that he helped them, it was no small favor he lifted a 75 pound geriatric crippled standard poodle into their SUV. All the employees were so great, the dates of the stay were 9/5/22 to 9/6/22. I love Marriott they do an excellent job hiring the most outstanding and best people.…
We had a really nice stay. The best thing I can say is how nice and accommodating the staff were. Minzell was working the front desk and went out of her way to make sure everything was smooth. Overall, the rooms were comfortable and worked out nicely. Would recommend this hotel.
Just a warning about this and other Marriott properties. If you are traveling with a pet snd searching for pet friendly, be sure to wade through the fine print until you get to the pet policy. They advertise “pet friendly” but their fees can be as high as $150 or more. Definitely not “friendly”
This hotel is in dire need of remodel and customer service training. Walls, carpet and furniture are stained and chipped. It was over 100 degrees outside and the pool was closed due to contamination ( was being chemically shocked per staff). They had no idea when it would be open and made no effort to allow guests to use a sister Marriott pool due to “liability” reasons. I checked out the pool and it was clouded with filth and debris. I’m speechless to know this is a Marriott property. I’m a platinum member and so sad to see how Marriott has lowered their standards.
The room quality is better on the pictures. Our room had dirty dishes, and a chair with clearly visible semen stains. The TV was mediocre. Awful picture quality. The design and functionality of the appliances etc was very awkward. The bathroom is so close to the head of the bed that when you open the bathroom door, it touches the bed! There are two dressers tightly pressed against both sides of the bed. I don't know who's idea it was to set up everything like that but it was terrible. One of the things that was so frustrating was the stove. I had a large pot full of water on that thing --on high, literally for an entire hour and it NEVER began to boil. Covered and uncovered. It was weird. So I had to cook my pasta in non boiling water. I won't be back. It's definitely not worth what they're charging here. This was our first time at a towneplace. Next time we'll just go to Residence Inn.…
I am elite Marriott member. I stay in Townplace suites ALL the time. First time that I have ever been charged $20 for Parking. Really??!! Is this needed to make up for loss of business from Covid? Breakfast was sad. Gravy with strips of French or Italian bread. Oatmeal was good and they had blue Betty muffins. Manager did refund the parking fee of $20 after I called to complain. Not cool to do this to customers.
1. Check-in staff; neutral 2. Hotel environment; neutral 3. Room; thumbs up 4. Free breakfast; thumbs down 5. Check-out; thumbs down Prior to checking out we asked for information. The two girls at the front desk were disrespectful.
My wife and I are both teachers, so during a very trying school year, we decided to get out of the cold weather and spend part of spring break in the Vegas area where we have family. We had booked 3 nights here and were looking forward to a few days away. However, we got caught in a historic Spring blizzard on the way down, spent 4 hours stranded on the freeway, and didn't make it down for our first night. My wife called to cancel that night's reservation, but made sure to mention that we wanted the other 2 nights. When we arrived, they had cancelled the entire reservation. To make things worse, they would not honor the price we had originally booked the room for. They quoted us the off the street price which was close to double what we had originally booked the room for. Very disappointing after all we had been through to get there. We were able to drive just up the street to a well known resort property who gave us a great rate on a room for us and our two boys. We were so please with the replacement resort, we stayed 2 extra days. As Seinfeld once said, anyone can take the reservation. It's holding the reservation!…
