We were passing through on our move to Idaho and had the pleasure of interacting with Jane the AGM, who I noticed was working many different jobs there. She was so kind and caring despite their lack of employees that has plagued many businesses during Covid. I have stayed at many Marriott properties but she really made this special and I would highly recommend staying there. The room was quiet, clean, and exactly what we needed after a long day of traveling. The breakfast was a great way to begin our early morning and I would just ask that you be kind to the workers who still wear a smile and live up to the Marriott experience despite the current overwhelming challenges.
This hotel was crazy busy, but the guy at the front desk (Mike or Michael?) kept a cool head and friendly demeanor. I read reviews about the noise levels, so called ahead and asked for a quiet room. They absolutely delivered and we stayed in a clean and well-maintained suite on the top floor. There is a major construction project happening next door, but the crew must've been working on quieter tasks this week because we didn't notice the noise at all. Right on bustling Reserve St. so close to a lot of restaurants and amenities. Would absolutely stay here again.
Really nice. We checked in early but when we got to the room there was massive construction equipment right outside the window. Seems that construction starts at 0700. Went back to the front desk and she cordially booked us in another room on a higher floor on the opposite side of the construction. The room was CLEAN. So important! Quiet. Really nice. Would definitely stay here again. Staff was super nice. Highly recommend.
We have stayed at several TownePlace Suites, and this one is not up to standard. Our room - a King Studio- was small and cramped, compared to same room in Whitefish and Tucson. The room next to us and the room across the hall both had barking dogs. The dog owner across the hall had left his dogs in the room and they barked for over an hour at 10 pm when we were trying to sleep. The man at the front desk was friendly and helpful and tried to address this issue, and the barking dog owner was gone the next day. Why would anyone book 2 parties with dogs right next to each other? I am a platinum Marriott member, and yet there was a charge for doing laundry. I have never encountered this at a Marriott before. Again, the man at the desk helped sort it out, not sure, I think his name was Mike. I would give this place only 2 stars, except for the friendliness and helpfullness of Mike. He also helped us sort out the Wifi, after we received wrong instructions from the woman at the desk.…
My wife and I stayed in hotels about 150 nights per year for 20 years as we traveled writing software all over the planet. Now we are retired and travel for fun. On our current 60 day road trip we had the pleasure of staying at the TownePlace Suites in Missoula. Typically we stay in Hilton properties since we accumulate so many Hilton points with our American Express, but we had some Marriott points from our Visa and a yearly free night so we chose to stay in a Marriott property. I’m sure glad we gave it a go because this is a fantastic property with a great room especially for extended stays. We had an actual coffee pot, a full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, etc. Holy smokes, this makes my house look bad! Seriously though this place is gorgeous! The service was outstanding and I really need to call out one employee by name. This fellow named Guy runs the morning breakfast, which by the way is one of the best I’ve seen, and he is the hardest working man I’ve ever witnessed in the hospitality business. Not only does he greet each guest as they enter and helps the young kids get what they’d like, he hustles to keep everything stocked and looking fresh and brand new! We talked a bit once everything slowed down and it was a real pleasure to meet him and learn about his life. Every once in awhile I meet someone that makes me wish I wasn’t retired and still owned my software company so I could hire this person. Guy is a huge asset to the Marriott group and is someone my wife and I will remember years from now. Highly recommend the TownePlace Suites!…
