If you also love hot springs, this place has options. Of course, the lodge itself has two great pools for soaking, both at different temperatures. But the staff was also very helpful in recommending hikes we could take to find other natural hot springs in the area. We really enjoyed making the lodge our comfortable, "home base" and taking day trips to visit other hot springs in relatively close proximity to the lodge. A beautiful stunning area to boot with so much to explore. This is the second year we have been back to stay at the Lodge at Lolo Hot Springs. Thank you to Geoff and Teresa, the property managers for making our stay special each time. We can't wait for next year!
Loved our stay in the tiny cabin. The pool and soaking was so great to relax in. We stayed in the smallest cabins and a bathroom was nearby. The larger cabins have bathrooms but we were there just 1 night & didn't seem a necessity. Since the restaurant was closed for breakfast the owner gave us a "to go" bag for breakfast. Had a frig & microwave, so was very nice of him. My favorite kind of fun, the surroundings were awesome.
The manager at the front desk gave us options on the pros and cons of the local hotsprings he and his wife have hiked to in the past. We had a mixed group ages ranging from 50's to 70+. We were givin the name of another lodge to eat at, that was on the way. We choose outside eating at Lochsa Lodge. Very nice! The hotsprings we choose to hike to were called Weir Creek Hotsprings. Really easy hike. After we arrived back to The Lodge at Lolo Hotsprings we took advantage f the picnic tables and grill and cooked up a mess of pork ribs. At the end of the night we were able to soak our old bones at the Lodges beautiful spring pools. Temperature was just right. This was our 2nd trip to the Lodge and we look forward to another. Great job Geoff and Teresa!
A rustic and pleasant place for exploring the area year 'round. Lots of different trails for outdoor activities; hot springs, and a large selection of DVDs, games and books for indoor enjoyment. For unknown reasons, breakfast was limited. No wi-fi in rooms could be a plus or a problem.
Wow! Was I disappointed. The room we were given was terrible. It was a small 12 x 12 room with barely room to walk around the bed. The window was a view of the back hill. There was no furniture in the room and definitely no log furniture. The bathroom was a mess and looked like it was being repaired. Internet Access? No. They did provide internet but only in the lobby. We did not even have cable TV. They did have a decent TV/VCR and had some movies in the lobby to choose from. All in all nothing like the write up and I would never stay there again.
