Hotel Ysuri Sayulita is consistently applauded for its cleanliness and serene atmosphere, with many guests appreciating the well-kept rooms and beautiful views. The array of amenities, including surfboards and kitchenettes, coupled with the hotel's enviable beach proximity, are highlights for visitors. While opinions on value differ, the attentive and accommodating service is a standout feature. Its prime location offers tranquility and easy access to downtown. However, the rooms, though spacious, have had some critique regarding views and functionality.

The stay was excellent. The pool was a great time. Elias and Malene at the front desk were very helpful and kind. Antonio and Mrs Xóchitl were excellent as well. Highly recommend this stay on the beach! Definitely check out the restaurant for great breakfast and drinks with a view.

Liked · EASILY the best hotel in Sayulita! The amazing infinity pool overlooks the beach/sea and each room offers gorgeous views of the ocean and surrounding jungle. Pelicans and frigate birds flock around while lizards and iguanas jump in the property's canopy. Bartender Fernando makes delicious drinks that he will be pleased to bring to you while you're floating in the pool. Rooms are modern, beds are big and comfortable, water pressure is great in the walk-in showers and patio jacuzzi tubs are just what you need when it's storming out and you just want to kick back and relax. Staff was amazing, always saying hello and making sure you're satisfied at all time. If you rent a car, you can simply park it in their covered garage (at no fee). No need for room key/card as every door is coded. Would definitely stay again! Wifi was fast and accessible from each bedroom. There's food available all day from pool bar/restaurant. Of note, they are also building a beach bar across the stress. Also of importance, you are not downtown, meaning that you can party your heart out after a 5-10 minutes but you can also sleep soundly, away from the hectic tourists :) Hotel is also located on a cleaner, quieter end of the beach.

Disliked · Pricing for food and drinks was slightly steep but I am assuming we were also paying for the convenience of eating/drinking on premises.
Since some rooms come with basic kitchenettes, you can save yourself some money by cooking or eating out at cheaper bars/restaurants.

This was our first stay in Sayulita and selected this hotel based on the location and reviews. The hotel sits right across the street (alley) from the main beach and is walking distance from the main surf break and away from the busy main square, which was a must have for our three days there.

The roads are quite narrow going to the hotel and when we arrived in the evening after 2 days of travel, we were warmly greeted by Angél at the front desk and security Antiono. Our car was parked in a secured garage. And the staff brought our luggage up the many stairs to the building that our room was at.

We booked the executive suite for our family which included 2 bdrms with a queen bed and king bed, 2 bathrooms, with a basic kitchen and hot tub on the lanai overlooking the ocean. It was a great set up for our family of 5. The boys slept in the back room with a queen bed and our little slept on the couch with extra linens.

The infinity edge pool overlooked the ocean and was great for the kids to swim in after the beach though I found the water temperature a bit warm for my taste, especially with the heat and humidity of the day. Others would love it.

Service at this property exceeded our expectations and has made us miss this place already! All the staff were so warm and kind and treated us like family. Coming from Hawaii we are used to the “aloha spirit” of hospitality and we found that here. From Letti in housekeeping to Mary and Fernando at the snack shop to Angel and Gustavo at the front desk and Antonio and Giovanni with security, everyone was so helpful.

I also had a 90 min deep tissue massage with Reflexology with Tamara on property which was so amazing. Would highly recommend!

Thank you for making our stay a perfect one! We hope to see you again some day.

We looked at two rooms, a standard room, nice, and a balcony room, and chose the balcony room as it had a jetted hot tub with beautiful ocean views! Long story short, after the hassle of moving rooms, and running water in the tub in both, there was not enough hot water to make the tub even lukewarm, making it completely unusable. I asked to be compensated in some way, at least drop the charge down to the standard room rate. It was taking forever so we went for a walk, came back and found the office locked and nobody to be found anywhere. After waiting for a while, we just left, contacted the property after, and was told they checked and the hot water worked fine, refusing any compensation whatsoever. I paid for a room with a working tub on a balcony, and did not receive what I paid for, then was told I was untruthful and they refused to do anything about it, which is absolutely unacceptable. I cannot recommend this hotel, it is very nice and beautiful, but you cannot ignore a problem like you did with me. I offered a very logical and reasonable solution, and was ignored, and then refused. I will never stay here again, I suggest you don’t either as there will not be hot water in any room.

Dear guest, Thank you very much for your comments, all the good and bad comments help us continue to grow as a company and as individuals. Our main objective is to offer a pleasant stay to all our guests, we always try to fulfill this purpose, however there are times where the solution is not in our hands. We accept that one room did not have hot water, and for that reason we offered another room (one floor above), before giving the room we made sure that if it had hot water, this point was verified by the guest service manager and our maintenance manager. However, we cannot contradict your word, where you openly express "you did not have hot water" Unfortunately we could not comply with the negotiation you made.. of making a partial refund of your accommodation where you told us by whatsapp "if you get 50 dollars back from your stay, you will put very good comments about us, otherwise you would make sure of putting bad comments anywhere is possible" Changing your perspective is the most important thing for us, on our part we offer you not only 50 dollars, but 100 dollars of credit that you can use for lodging in your next stay. Best Regards

This hotel is amazing and in the best location of Sayulita, ocean view right on a quiet street along the ocean but 2 minutes to town (30 seconds in a golf cart) which you can rent right at the hotel, or for longer time periods one of many companies in town, but I highly suggest renting a golf cart for the entire time you are here - game changer. The rooms at the Ysuri are huge, have THE most comfortable beds, TV swivels to watch movies in bed (they have a lot of english movie channels) and you simply can't beat having a jacuzzi on the balcony overlooking the ocean - great for post surf soaks or romantic sunset champagne baths with your significant other. The sofa coach is super comfortable and can easily sleep someone if you wanted to have a third spend the night. Staff is so accommodating, catering to every need. Honestly can't believe the price of this hotel it's incredible value. I used to rent Airbnb's when I stayed here (this is my 7th year/ trip to Sayulita) but for the last 2 I now only stay at the Ysuri, much better call. Don't hesitate in booking this hotel, you won't regret it. PS it is much nicer than the Hotel Amor and way cheaper, so if you are deciding between the two it's no decision at all. This place is awesome. Will be coming back every year for two weeks, no question.

Great location, fantastic staff, great view, privacy. Everyone very helpful. Room nice and clean. No hiccups with power or water, and overall an outstanding experience and a great value. Special thanks to Concierge Jasmine who could not have been more helpful. And their massage therapist, at $70US for 90 minutes, is the best value in massage therapy. Everything is tile so sometimes neighbors can be heard; however, everyone was respectful of others. Great pool area and several dining options very close. These folks bend over backwards to help you enjoy your vacation.

We had an ocean view "suite" for 1 week in July. The view was amazing, the staff were amazing, and the pool was great. We would definately stay here again, although probably in the winter because Sayulita was 90F and 80% humidity most of our trip, so the AC and the ceiling fans in the room were critical. Our bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on and the sheets were very soft and comfortable. The "suite" means kitchennete, not a seperate bedroom, but the kitchennette was perfectly adaquate with a coffee maker with coffee, microwave, stove top, fridge, and sink. The walk in shower was very nice too. I tried the jacuozi on the deck and it was ok, although jets on the back would have made it great. My wife got quite sick and Javier, the supervisor, had the bartender make us a mix of lime, tonic water, and salt, and then he asked me every day how she was doing. When we needed anything in the room, Iris , Angel, or Eli at the front desk sent someone up right away. Alex, who worked in the poolside bar/restaruant, became our standard for how good service in a restaurant could be. It was our anniversary and Jasmine the conceirge had a small box of chocolates with a Happy Anniversary card put on our bed and a path of red rose pedals while we were out for the afternoon. I can't say enough great things about the staff. The infinity pool was a perfect temperature and looked out over he beach and ocean. The hotel is only about 3 blocks from the main square so the location is great. They also have a restaurant on the sand. The chicken fettucini was surprisingly good.

A few minor things I'd suggest for travelers. Ask which floor your room is on and what the view is like when you book because not all rooms in a given category have the same view. You probably do not need your own car in Sayulita because it is so compact. We did rent a golf cart for one day which was very fun. We hired Jose Ramos transportation to take us from and back to the airport. We bought 5 liter bottles of water at one of the small stores in town every other day to suppliment the bottled water housekeeping provided us with. The units keep sound from the other rooms out quite well, but if people are talking in the elevator lobby or on their neighboring decks, the sound came in a bit. Most staff spoke enough english both at the Ysuri and also in most of the shops around town.

This hotel has a great location. It is literally steps away from Sayulita beach and a short walk away from playa de los muertos (you have to cross the cemetery to get to it) which is more secluded and quiet. The property has beautiful gardens and an amazing infinity pool with a spectacular view of the beach.
The negative aspects for us where the super hard bed and extremely soft pillows. It was hard for us to rest at night. I would usually wake up with a back ache every morning. The room was pretty plain. There was no table or fridge. We were only provided with one bottle of water upon arrival.
Another down side was the fact that in order to get dinner you have to leave the property and walk to town. There is a nice lady cooking breakfast and lunch but she always looked extremely backed up with orders. It looked like she really needed someone else to help her with orders and cleaning tables. We had to walk to town for food every time. There was no bartender in the property either.
Overall, this is a good property if you really care about a great location and you are ok with with walking to town to get food somewhere else.

Dear guest. Thank you very much for your kind and great review. It was a pleasure to met and greeted you. All your comments both good and negative help us to improve, our intention is always to offer quality in all our services. The room you booked was a standard room which is the simplest room we managed. We have rooms with fridge bar, kitchenette, living room, therefore, I would like to be able to offer you a preferential rate for your next visit, so that you can really enjoy our services as well as one of our best rooms. As for the bar, Mrs. Mary (like all the members of the Staff) is a very important collaborator for us, in order to improve, already she is next to join someone who can support her in the bar and recover the attention and warmth that characterizes us. Please contact us directly to be able to offer and provide everything you need.

We loved Hotel Ysuri so much! The hotel is a short 5 minute walk into town and it’s just far enough that you hear no noise from the loud town at night. The rooms and balconies are massive, the beds are insanely comfortable and the pool is beautiful. The photos really don’t do it justice. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful and the food and drink at the bar is reasonably priced and delicious. This hotel is also across from the beach as opposed to the other hotels that are high up in the hills so you can pop into town or to the beach without having to walk far.

My boyfriend and I visited Sayulita for 5 days and stayed here. Our experience with the hotel could not have been better! They went above and beyond in every regard. The room was lovely, perfectly furnished, high power AC, one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, and to top it off had stunning views of the ocean ( we booked a Jr. Suite ). The snack bar near the pool had amazing coffee in the mornings, made fresh. The front desk staff (especially Rodrigo and Gustavo)! was very helpful and available via WhatsApp to answer all of our questions. They helped us book our COVID test for return to the states, gave directions, recommended great food, and booked our taxi to the airport. Would give 6 stars for the staff here if I could. Overall, very friendly and helpful staff, amazing location right on the beach, exquisite upkeep, and felt very safe. 10/10 recommend.
