My time at La Redonda was so special and memorable. The staff was fantastic, the activities they planned were fun and a great way to meet new people, and the free breakfast was always delicious! The location was PERFECT and I always felt very safe, even at night as a single woman. There was construction going on outside of my room, but I can't fault the hostel for that. The hostel was fairly clean, my only complaint being the downstairs bathroom floors were always wet, even in the bathroom stalls, so I preferred to always use the upstairs bathrooms. I will absolutely stay there next time I'm in Sayulita and will recommend it to anyone I know that's visiting as well.

La Redonda is a magical home in a magical place. No hostel is perfect, but this one comes very close. During my 35 day stay at La Redonda, the most amazing thing I found was the group of volunteers that were present at that moment.

La Redonda is very clean and safe. The location is very central, which makes life there pretty easy since everything you would need (groceries, restaurants, snacks, etc) is a few steps away. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfy with lots of head room, the AC at night is a blessing. The hostel is cleaned a few times per day, which keeps everything neat. The staff is super friendly and present. The included breakfast is awesome, a real breakfast with a big pinch of love, every morning. Hot water works well in the showers. Kitchen is very functional. The wifi works great everywhere in the hostel. The common area is ideal to socialize and meet other travellers. There is also a nice front yard to hangout. The daily activities are well organized, and a great way to meet people. The common area does get loud in the evening, but at midnight the staff is really good at getting everyone that wants to keep partying out of the hostel. Showers are clean, big, and there are enough for everyone even during busy hours. Most travellers that book a few nights here end up extending. Note that Sayulita is a small but busy tourist town, and since this hostel is central, it is surrounded by bars and restaurants than play their music until late at night. Bring ear plugs, or at least be prepared for it, don’t expect a “quiet romantic getaway on a remote island” type of experience. I slept like a baby during all my stay. Come to La Redonda, you won’t regret it.

La Redonda is for sure the only hostel to stay at in Sayulita. The facilities, services, staff and social activities are excellent. You can find space for yourself if you want to have a quiet one or you can engage with other travellers. This place caters for everyone. They put an epic breakfast every morning and organise a social activity each night. The vibes are always banging at La Redonda. It would be hard to have a bad time here. La Redonda made my week in Sayulita even more magical. Again this is the only place to stay in Sayulita. 10/10

I was charged twice for my stay and never properly refunded. They ran my card, said it didn’t work then I paid the whole amount in pesos. When I showed them the charge they made me go through my bank and refused to refund me. In the end my bank denied my request for the charge to be reversed. When the hostel finally refunded me, it was only one third of the amount I was originally charged and insulted me for being from the United States in our email exchange as well telling me I should just deal with the difference of over $30 because my country usually comes out on top anyway.

The whole place seems DIY made, even the bunk beds seem to have been made by some random carpenter, so the quality of the rooms is substandard for a hostel. Most if not all of the main staff are volunteers so they mostly don't care much about what happens. During my stay they had trouble handling an unruly guest and a water leak which ruined two bunk beds (and accommodating the guests for those beds). That also wet most of my luggage and my towel disappeared shortly after that. The facilities seem to not be cleaned very often and they generally look dirty and not taken care of. If you're looking for some hippie place to sleep and you don't mind that then it's a good party hostel. If you want an acceptable hostel stay clear from this one.

If you’re looking for a fun, welcoming, activity-centric hostel, LaRedonda is the place for you. I traveled alone, and immediately met some of the greatest people who I spent most of my time with. The location is centralized with the plaza and the beach each a block away. If you’re looking for something tranquil and quiet this may not be the place as the town is buzzing with construction & people & music, but it’s not a problem if you have earplugs & don’t mind noise too much. The hostel connected me with an incredible surf teacher (her name was Vanessa), and the staff were very attentive & an absolute joy to be around. They have the best reccomendations for food, beaches, yoga spots, and everything in between. I can’t wait to visit again! Thank you, LaRedonda. :)

The staff are really friendly and really inclusive which can be hard to find at hostels. There is a party vibe every night but no pressure to go out if you don't want to. They have good 2 for 1 drink deals on too every night, like margaritas etc. for 90 pesos for 2. The free breakfast is really substantial and everything is really clean and tidy. The beds also have a light and a fan which is great as it gets really hot in Sayulita. The location is right near the beach too so it's easy to pop down from a morning surf or an afternoon at the beach. Highly recommend it, we loved it so much we came back 5 days later and stayed another 3 nights.

I stayed in a shared mixed room with 8 beds. The rooms were clean and nice. The staff is really nice and on the weekend you can do activities such as beerpong and surftrips and on Friday, there was a DJ.
The hostel is right in the center of Sayulita, you can walk everywhere and it is really safe at night. The hostel has a small kitchen where you can prepare and store food and they also serve breakfast in the morning. I was there two nights and the breakfast included eggs both time and one time only yogurt, so it is not that recomendable for vegans, but they also serve coffee and fruits which is vegan friendly.
