This is something special, the views from the terraces are incredible , the sunsets are magical.
The perfect place to relax and unwind , the hosts Rose and Terry and very very friendly and so helpful in making your stay a memorable one.

The accommodation is set in wonderful tropical like surroundings all around the main property. It's unfair to call them rooms , more like bungalows , each with double beds, air conditioning, shower room and a kitchenette, complete with beer fridge and coffee machine .
Outside you can relax and cool off in the beatiful clean private pool , choose to sit in the shade or on the sun terraces and simple take in the views.
There is an outside kitchen with authentic pizza oven fully equipped to meet your culinary needs.
For wildlife lovers , simply sit back , listen to the birds or watch the eagle's soaring high and showing off their gilding skills.
It's hard to believe that this gem is less that a thirty minute car journey from the airport.

Rose, Terry and their temporary manager, Quentin, were great. Also, the room was great, the food was great, the views were great, the weather was great and so for the 2 weeks we spent here we had a great time.

This is a place to go when you want a quiet holiday, it's quite a drive to the town and there's nothing nearby except a few other houses and the National Park. But the National Park is probably why you'll go here and the gate is only a couple of hundred yards away. It's a steep walk up to the look out post and the sub station but worth it for the views.

We went primarily to do some birdwatching and surprisingly spent most of our time birdwatching around the grounds of the hotel, rather than in the park itself. The hotel grounds are lovely and well kept by Rose and her helpers, so the birds and other wildlife love the area.

Breakfast was excellent, as was the food in the evening, the two ladies who ran the kitchen (unfortunately I can't remember their names!) did a great job. They also cleaned and made sure our room looked nice every day. We stayed in The Otters Room, a big room with a massive set of floor to ceiling windows along one wall giving a wonderful view over Kota Kinabalu and over the grounds themselves. We took many photos of the birds and the sunsets from the room.

A great place... Thank you Rose and Terry.

I highly recommend Sinurambi B&B for a restful break with amazing views of the Crocker range, Kota Kinabalu city and the sea. Even though it is only a short trip from the hustle and bustle of KK, my husband and I felt that we were in a different world. It is very close to Inobong substation where we went hiking to the waterfall.

Sinurambi has good facilities - a swimming pool, a basketball hoop, and sunset viewing deck. Each room comes with its unique views and charms, and most have well-equipped kitchenettes. We loved the Kinabalu view room with its four poster bed. We decided to have our dinner catered for and the beef rendang plus home-made pickles were delicious. The breakfast menu caters for various tastes, and we enjoyed our meal on the deck outside our lovely room. The home-grown rambutans and passionfruit were delightful.

Rose is a wonderful and warm host - we felt so at home and welcome. Her staff were courteous and friendly.

Sinurambi is a great place to chill and relax. We will be back.

We stayed at Otter's House and it has lovely views overlooking KK city. The sunset views were spectacular! The house has everything we needed from food to cutleries to cooking utensils. We ordered a roast chicken meal for one of the dinners and it tasted great! Terry and Rose were wonderful and Rose kindly allowed a later check out due to our late flight. We went on daily walks to the nearby Crocker's Range Park and 8 dogs followed us! Beware that there is a very steep slope leading up to the viewpoint but it's a short hike and the views are worth the effort! Sinurambi is a great place to relax and to admire nature. Hope we have the opportunity to visit it again! Thank you for a memorable stay there!

Dear Samantha, Thank you for your review. We are blessed to live on the edge of UNESCO site. The Crocker Range National Park is a treasure. We are now open to the rest of the world. Our humble home now has five units for rent and able to sleep maximum 20pax. Check out our new poolside dining area and the new studio cottage (Forest View). We upgraded the outdoor kitchen so self catering guests (especially groups) can have better cooking and dining experience. We are looking forward to welcome you again soon ! Best regards, Rose & Sinurambi team!

I was looking for accommodation that could provide a relaxing space while my friend & I recovered from our Mt Kinabalu climb. I was also not keen on going for the run of the mill hotel experience. And I am so glad I chose to stay here!

Terry & Rose are amazing hosts and they make you feel right at home immediately. Upon arrival, all their (friendly) dogs were greeting us with tails wagging. It really felt like you were coming home. I stayed in the Honeymoon suite, and despite a mix up with the beds, the staff at Sinurambi quickly sorted out an extra bed to be put in the room. Dinner is also a family experience, with everyone gathered at the table, sharing stories and having a good laugh.

The view here is amazing, the air is fresh and you overlook the entire city. The morning views of Mt Kinabalu are amazing, and you have to catch the sunset in the evenings. It's a peaceful haven to get away from the city and recharge.

I went there with a friend this Jan and only stayed 2 nights coz of a tight schedule in Borneo. I'm really glad that I stayed in Sinurambi which is unique in its architecture and with so nice owners. The view to the city is breath taking. We had to get a 5AM flight to Sandakan so left early in the morning but the owner prepared us the yummy homemade pancake with honey on the road. Still miss the time there.

Thank you Jing, we enjoyed having you here too! Our 7 year old son enjoyed practicing his Mandarin on you, he'll be a fully fledged tour guide by the time he's ten. By the way, the little cuddly animals who used to live in your cottage were Otters. If you come back to Borneo please come and see us again. Best regards, Rose, Terry, Dave and the staff at Sinurambi.

We did the climb mount kinabalu en we looked for a nice place to relax!!!
We found this B&B on tripadvisor and it's indeed magnificent!
A beautiful location with a priceless view...
We did sleep in the honeymoon studio and it's so beautiful and such a view, just perfect.
We eat there every evening because the food was so delicious. The best crab ever!!
We loved the company from Terry, he drove us to where we wanted to go, always told us a spectacular story and was so nice to us!!
Unfortunately we didn't see Rose a lot because she was very sick and had to stay in bed.
What we heard of her it must be a lovely lady!!
We saw the most beautiful sunrise and sunset.
This is the best place you can stay in!!
Lovely setting, lovely food, lovely people...
We didn't want to leave and we definitely wanna come back!!
Best regards
Mathias and Ilse from Belguim

Amazing location in the jungle overlooking KK and the sea - perfect for sunsets. Went to a wedding there and it was the perfect location for it. The rooms - for those of us who were lucky enough to stay there - were amazing with great facilities and views. Shame we couldn't stay longer!

Rose's amazing organisation ensured that the whole day went very smoothly, and it couldn't have happened without her! Food was great and the whole team was very accommodating to the bride & groom's (and guests!) plans and wishes.

Thanks for an amazing stay!
