This particular Hampton was probably built in the past decade and feels generally new. The common areas and guest rooms are well appointed and comfortable. One of the biggest perks of this property is its somewhat secluded setting in the far western end of Bloomington. It's located in an area that is populated mostly by offices and several large apartment developments. Given its distance from the more active, chaotic commercial east end of Bloomington, it's very serene here. You'll also avoid loud air traffic noise that impacts most of the hotels further east in Bloomington. You may find that this particular Hampton draws a little an older and more business focused clientele. During a non-peak Winter period, this hotel seemed downright deserted, as it was during my stay. As such, if this is potentially an upside for you, you'll find relative solitude here. The negative downside is that there is little to no commercial activity nearby to walk to, beyond the Renaissance Hotel next door. The Hampton has a nice indoor pool, whirlpool and well equipped workout facility that were well very well maintained and quiet throughout my stay. I'm admittedly not a fan of the breakfast fare that most Hampton's nationwide provide guests. What was offered at this location was average at best. The hot entrees were sub par overall. What's available will fill an empty spot only. You'll find no taste treats. The juices dispensed from the machine were terrible. I also thought that the dining area tables could have been better maintained, especially considering how quiet the area was with so few customers. While the common areas appeared clean for the most part, I did notice bagged garbage sitting adjacent to the trash receptacle by the elevator on my floor for an extended 8 hour time without anyone disposing of it. I also thought the hallway carpet could have been more routinely vacuumed. It wasn't. I sensed that there was a small staff on duty at this place at any given time. You'll find little hustle or bustle here. Lastly, the Guest Service workers at this hotel are NEVER routinely working at the front desk. Instead, they apparently monitor the desk from a camera from the office behind the desk and only come out as needed. This is a bit of an oddity, both from a security standpoint, and also from a "lets greet our customers with a smile when they come and go" perspective. My opinion is that the hotel staff could spend a little more time as visible employees. Admittedly, they are perhaps more visible at busier times of the day and year. Candidly during my stay, I rarely witnessed anyone up at the front desk. That's not a comforting thing for guests to observe. My humble opinion of course. All said, however, it's still a good place overall. I'll give it a solid B.

Hotel's Favourite
We have stayed here multiple times and it always delivers a great experience. I usually request extra towels & pillows ahead of time. At other hotels I usually have to request again when we check in. This hotel had them in the room when we checked in. We also like the suite rooms at this hotel. They include a large sofa & kitchenette with microwave, small fridge & additional sink. We will continue to stay here when visiting family in the area.

Clean hotel, I’m very picky with cleanliness. Very friendly and helpful front desk attendant. I have no complaints, which is extremely rare when it comes to hotels. Good breakfast with plenty of options. Hot tub and pool area were clean with plenty of towels available.

Picked this hotel because of it's centralized location at I-494 and Highway 100. It was a quick commute to both downtown Minneapolis and Mall of America. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained located in a nice office park. The room was large with nice decor with a generously sized bathroom. Great staff and the breakfast was better than average. Next time we are in the Twin Cities I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely loved this hotel and will stay here in a heartbeat again. The front desk staff are so friendly and attentive. There was some rude hotel guests which is of no fault to the hotel. Breakfast is clearly outlined for times yet people were still going down after it had ended, getting mad at the staff when there was nothing left. Be respectful people. Check in and out was a breeze. The room was insanely clean. Shower was hot and pressure was great. AC worked wonderfully. Breakfast was hot and a wonderful variety of items (bacon, eggs, omelet, waffles (two different types!), cereal, fruit, pastry, yogurt, oatmeal). Coffee was always available. Parking was right in front. There was lots of trolly carts available for luggage. Parking lot was clean and in a good neighborhood. I felt safe to walk around. No issue for extra towels or pillows. Bed was comfortable. Pool area was clean. Gym was clean. My only suggestion would be larger garbage cans in the room. Otherwise our stay was fabulous and I'll definitely be back! Keep up the good work.

Good Choice as Always. Everything looked clean and remodeled. Enjoyed the hot tub. Breakfast is very good. A few breakfast items were out late in the day for breakfast. Good greeting and made good suggestions for restaurants for dinner nearby. Great experience.

We stayed at this hotel in July of 2023, for just one night. This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. It was spotlessly clean (and I am picky). It had a very comfortable mattress (and my husband and I both have back issues). The bathroom was well lit and spacious, and the room itself was a good size. It was quiet. The check-in person was friendly and efficient. We went for a walk in the early evening in the neighborhood, which seemed safe and pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you want to stay not too far from the airport, but not right next to it.

Excellent Hampton Inn - this is our go to hotel 4 Minneapolis. Unfortunately, the hotel & service levels have dipped dramatically downwards. Still a good place to stay as Hampton stands behind their brand. The breakfast is lacking compared to a few years ago. Also the big one is that we were there 4 days & room was not cleaned once. Even though we asked at front desk several times. Guy on the weekend at front desk was not friendly at all - huge lack of customer service or even being able to hold a professional conversation. No cleaners for the rooms but they could at least hire someone to replenish towels & tp as a bare minimum! Hotel pool & hot tub very nice. Location is excellent & love how big the suites are. Beds getting old - not very comfortable anymore. This hotel use to be amazing when it was brand new and Sarah Purcell was the manager. Still a good place but far from excellent unfortunately.

The property was average at best. The Location was convenient for us, that is why we chose it. Rate was competitive with other cheap chain properties. The Room was tired, and the front desk staff were not very welcoming. Breakfast was pitiful. I certainly Would not recommend this hotel.
