Detailed Reviews
I love. villa Kate...the view from my balcony of the sea and old town was stunning. . The family who owns the villa are totally charming, thoughtful and generous with time and information. I was even driven to the ferry the morning I left at 6:45 am. Beautiful sheets, complete kitchen and very comfortable bed. A 7 minute walk to the restaurants and sea and shops. But above the normal sounds of village life.

We were met at the ferry port by the owners son who told us everything we needed to know about the apartment over a very pleasant glass of grappa made by his sister.
The apartment was huge with loads of storage, separate kitchen & living area and large balcony with stunning views of the town, sea & mountains. The only issue we has was that we could only get wifi stood on the outside steps 2 flights down & the shower was very low & pointed at shower curtain so we often ended up with a very wet floor.
It was a 10 min downhill Walk into town and another 10/15 mins to the port & beach. Vis is very quite & we really liked it. The beaches are all pebble & stone so surf shoes are recommended but buy in split if poss as the are only 500k as opposed to 1200k in Vis.
The port is a lot busier than the town area nearest to villa Kate but both focus round small restaurants/bars which were lovely especially bar paradise that's behind a tower with a canon in front its hidden away but worth finding just for the 60s furniture & gramaphone records playing in the background
Loved Vis & villa Kate

This is beautiful accommodation. Stunning views from balcony. Immaculately clean, well appointed, large airy rooms. Mariana was wonderfully welcoming and picked us up from the bus station...nothing too much trouble. Location short walk from Kut and Luka with plenty of restaurants etc nearby. Is a bit of a steep walk so may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.

Villa Kate is something special in Vis town.
It's a beautiful home, and the views down toward Vis town are really a sight to behold. Spectacular scenery.
We enjoyed a very comfortable stay for one night, and would have loved to stay longer here. A spotlessly clean and well equipped apartment with large kitchen & dining area. Good wifi, good aircon and a very large seating area outside.
Above all, the highlight of our stay was the hospitality from our host Zvonimir. We arrived into Vis town by bus late in the evening, and he kindly agreed to collect us from the terminus. We both agreed this was above and beyond what you would expect of any host.
His help with subsequent travel arrangements, friendly suggestions and kindness really are one of a kind. Would recommend a stay with him for this reason alone!
Be sure to book Villa Kate, you won't regret it!

.Villa Kate is a real house, not just a rental apartment. Home comfort. Space, comfort, beautifully decorated, the best view of Croatia (a place full of beauty). Owner is fantastic. Helped us with itinerary, shared some liquor with us, made our stay a delight. On the final day, we forgot a backpack with our money and documents in the house. We did not notice it - until we saw our host in the ferry, giving us our belongings back. Highly recommended, hope to be back one day

Spacous clean apartment on the hillside above Kut which is on the opposite side of the bay from Viz town. The owner offered to pick us up but we had a hire car so stood on the side of the road to greet us.
He was very informative about places to visit, and very helpful when we were leaving suggesting we check out later as they did not have a follow on booking,
Although there is a main road in front of the property, there is a long garden in between and we were not disturbed by any noise.
All in all a delightful place with enough personal furniture to make it homely, and great value,
Only negative for me the bed was too hard, but this will suit others.

We stayed at the top floor apartment overlooking the village and the sea. The apartment was huge and extremely clean. It was a very peaceful and romantic place to stay...the apartment is a ten min walk from town which can be steep in places so not suitable if this is a problem for you but in exchange you get the most amazing view of the island. The owners were so kind and helpful, we were picked up at the ferry port then met there again with our bags when we were ready on our last day. The apartment has everything you could need. I will definitely be coming back to this beautiful island and would stay here again without question.

Very nice hosts who picked us up from the ferry and dropped us off at the end of the stay. They offered good advice on the places to visit.
The house, located on top of a small hill, has a spectacular view, a large terasse and is close to city center.
The house was very clean and spacious with all the necessary equipment.

In spite of losing my iPad immediately upon arrival on Vis, we had a beautiful stay at Villa Kate. Our host was very welcoming and informative. He gave us excellent recommendations for sightseeing and dining, although our balcony was the PERFECT setting for imbibing (some really good Grappa provided by the host), painting, writing and just being. The apartment was quite spacious and stocked with everything we needed. Our bedroom was very romantic. We had a lovely stay and I strongly recommend this villa.

"I do not know how to erase it, there is no swimming pool. And you do not need it, with such a splendid coast. The whole island is beautiful, we toured it by car (as part of a trip along the coast). In Vis, we loved the old town, the blue cave and Rick's restaurant on the countryside (you may make arrangements on their shop in Vis). As for the house, everything is beautiful and well appointed."Read full review
