The owner Vicktoija really makes your stay here, thoroughly talking through the beautiful island and all the different activities. She helpfully booked the activities and restaurants we wanted to go to and we just sat back and relaxed enjoying our sun terrace. Our apartment was pleasant with nice decor although the bathroom smelt a bit.
We'd definitely go back!

Vis is a beautiful island and the apartments are a really wonderful way to experience everything it has to offer. Viktorija - the owner - has worked hard to produce clean, airy, fresh and modern apartments which are very comfortable. We cooked most evenings and the kitchen was great for what we wanted (hob, microwave, fridge, freezer).

As the other reviews have said Viktorija really cannot do enough to help you - she came to pick us up from the ferry and we sat and had a coffee whilst she explained various things about the island. We had decided not to rent a car or scooter so she took us to local shops and supermarket so that we could pick up food and drink supplies - we were slightly out of season (last week of May) so the little restaurant in Rukavac was not open and the nearest supermarket is a mile away uphill.

There are a number of beaches, bays and villages and historical sites to see - we were there for 4 days which was a really good length of time for exploring everything both on the coast and the interior (make sure you go to both Vis town and Komiza as they are very different in character) whilst also allowing some time to relax and soak up the island atmosphere. Viktorija let us borrow bikes, so we cycled each day around various parts of the island. The village of Rukavac is very quiet and a perfect place to relax and get away from it all, but do think about how you are going to get about (rent a car or scooter if you don't fancy cycling all the hills!)

We visited both the green cave and blue cave. Green cave is nice (and you can swim there which is kind of cool), but blue cave is really amazing so we would thoroughly recommend it (but I think it would be a nightmare in high season as trips visit from the mainland and other islands as well as Vis itself - the queues would be horrendous in the heat so maybe consider an early morning departure if possible to hopefully beat the crowds who have had to travel further).

We had a truly wonderful time and Viktorija really helped to make our stay special - she really wants every guest to have a lovely trip and will do whatever you want or need to help you achieve that.

We thoroughly recommend Vis and the Sea House Apartments - thanks Viktorija!! :-) xxx

From the moment my bf and I stepped off the ferry, Viktorija welcomed us with a sign in hand, hugs and big smiles. My bf and I had just booked the stay the night before at 11pm and Viktorija was able to confirm via sms that she would be ready for our arrival and that she would be able to meet us at the ferry and assist in transporting our large backpacks. What an amazing welcoming and her positive energy was just infectious. The island of Vis is small island but there is a lot to see if you are up for an adventure. Viktorija is well connected and have resources at her finger tips that I would say many people would not have. Right off the bat, we were able to rent a scooter for our stay for a discounted price. Her level of hospitality is exceptional and her attention to detail is far beyond what my bf and I have experienced in our travels around the world. At first, we were only booked our stay for two nights but we had such a great time the first day, we extended our stay an additional night. Thank you for making our stay truly one to remember.

Viktorija is very knowledgeable on the history of the island and is able to tell you about some of the best hidden local sites. Some of these locales have become my bf's and my favourite experiences while traveling. She was always accessible and more than willing to assist with our many many questions. She coordinated our blue cave excursion and dinner at Pol Murvu, as there was a language barrier. She also coordinated a private night-boat cave dinner and swim experience for us and 6 others, an experience of a lifetime.

The studio apartment we stayed in was exactly what you see in the photos provided. The rooms were clean, well equipped and simply beautiful. It was a mini oasis away from home with vibrant colours and a private balcony (with large umbrella for shade) for you to hang out when it is too hot to be out. This location was great as well because there were beautiful nearby beaches including Silver Beach and small Silver Beach (within walking distance). There are also bikes on site for you to use to explore the island but you'll soon find out it is very hilly and can be very challenging. Laundry is available as well, just ask Viktorija, and you have your own drying rack to use.

Every moment we spent on this island became an incredible experience and this is largely because of Viktorija. In addition to everything Viktorija assisted us with and coordinated during our stay, she went above and beyond by driving us to the ferry at 04:45 so we can catch the first ferry out! She is absolutely unique and exceptional and we could not have been luckier to have met and experienced Vis in this way. Viktorija, you're awesome and we hope you have lots of success with your business.

The apartments are beautifully appointed and just next to three beautiful beaches. If you're looking to get away from the masses then head to Vis!

Viktorija was our host and she couldn't be better. Not only did she introduce us to the island, by informing us of its history but she helped us make daily itineraries and got us some bargains along the way. Her recommendations for food were spot on. Thank you, we will be back!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom house (family of three). The house was old and clearly needed new furniture and specially new cushions on the beds.
The curtains were sheer so you would wake up at 5am, which is not so pleasant when you’re on vacation and want a nice night of sleep.
The air conditioner was always failing and blowing hot air, which was awful due to the hot weather that we faced during the week.
You had to brush your teeth on the porch, because there was no sink in the bathroom, and the cleaning ladies don’t clean at all, they just change the towels.
If you expect to get there and have any groceries to cook: don’t. I don’t mean having a lot of things but at least the basics (sugar, salt, etc).
Showering: literally the worst part of the day. You would get home from the beach and there wouldn’t be hot water or pressure. Sometimes not even water would come out. That is awful because sometimes you would be showering and start getting cold water or the water would stop. The host told us about this but only when we arrived (when u already have no choice).
Viktoria is a nice host. But in my opinion she’s always trying to get you to do activities that she obviously gets an income from. I’ll give you an example: I asked how we could go to Krka waterfalls and she asked me for 900€ !!!!! Of course we didn’t go and we searched ourselves and went the three of us for 100€. Just beware of the prices that she’s going to give you, because Vis isn’t going to be cheap at all and you have no public transportation so imagine you want to go to the center to buy some groceries: you will pay 40€ to go and come back to Vis (which is ridiculous for a 9km trip).
If you want to rent a boat be prepared for Viktoria not to help you rent one because “everyone taxi boats”.
In conclusion, I don’t recommend this at all. It was only a nice stay because we were a 5min walk away from the beach.

Response from VikHM, Owner at The Sea House Apartments
Responded 28 Aug 2019
Dear Ines, I am just so sorry to see that your holidays on the island of Vis were not the best ones. I am always surprised to read the comments after somebody departs without them telling me any of "those" things in person when on the island. You have rented the apartment which was just remodelled and khm... the bed mattresses are new, air conditioner works properly, the store is still 1,5 km away (and by the way, your were told about the store beforehand and it was even suggested that you buy things beforehand) and yes, I am a nice host. Well, I try to be. I do my best for everyone. And you know you cannot rent the boat if you do not have the licence for boat driving, so the only possibility for you was the taxi boats anyways. How can then I help you rent the boat if you have no licence? Khm. Luckily you were close to the beach and luckily this beach is such a wonderful place just next to this apartment. I wish you all the best in your future travels.

On our second visit to the Sea House Apartments we took 14 friends! Our host Viktorija was absolutely brilliant the moment we all descended - nothing was too much trouble and she helped us with all our enquiries and trip requirements the whole week. The Sea House apartments are a couple of minutes walk to beautiful beaches and are all spotlessly clean and well stocked with everything needed for self catering.

The apartments are spacious and comfortable, the location in Rukavac perfect walking distance to two of the islands best beaches. Great for families with children, very quiet. We loved the bread and fruit/vege truck that comes every morning! The owner, Viktorija, is overwhelmingly helpful (though it has to be said that by the end we would have almost preferred to have had more space to make our own discoveries). The price for what you get is tops - just don't expect major luxury. If you like a wonderful place to downshift and relax, Vis is it.

The host is so very friendly and helpful. She picked us up from the ferry and took us to the front of the line to rent a scooter. Then she sat us down with a map and pointed out all of the things to do on the island and called several wineries and restaurants to make sure they could take us. After all of that she warned us that our ferry was going to be cancelled due to a storm. She woke up at 4am to drive us to an earlier ferry and got us on without a fee since we were not being sent to the same destination we needed. What great service. I had the most amazing meal of my life on our trip to Vis. I truly hope that this place stay a secret. The host was a tour guide in Italy and a manager at a 5 star hotel in Slovenia. She speaks 5 languages and is an awesome awesome host!

The apartment is very clean and modern with a spacious fridge and the kitchen had all of the necessities for cooking. There are very nice beaches within walking distance and parking just in front of the place. You can see plenty of pictures of the apartments on booking.com. Unfortunately we could not leave a review there as they require it to be written within a short time frame and our trip was too long.

My girlfriend and I booked last minute and hopped on the earliest ferry to Vis. With little notice to our poor host, we were met by Viktorija with open arms and sign and hand. Immediately, she hooked us up with a discounted scooter rental, helped us with our bags to car and we drove in tandem to the apartment. We received a brief island history lesson enroute as she took the trouble to give us a brief tour, pulling over at key observation points along the way. The room was absolutely beautiful and looked exactly as the photos depicted. The room was clean and very well equipped; as so, we were able to save some $$ preparing some of our own meals! Attn to detail was apparent throughout our stay. Viktorija provided us with an excellent map of the island and pointed out some beautiful spots to eat, play and adventure to. Throughout our stay she was more than helpful. Viktorija is well-connected on the island and was attentive to our every need. She assisted us with the booking of restaurants where the language barrier produced a particular challenge and even had replacement helmets hand-delivered to our location when we had left them within the locked doors of a tour operator, returning later hat day only to find the business had closed - oops! She responded quickly to our SMS and calls for help and listened carefully to any feedback we had given. She even woke up to drive us to the early morning ferry, departing at 5:30 - Viktorija, you're a champ! What more can I say, place was fantastic and the host - even better! Thx Viktorija, you really helped us have a great time in Vis. ;)
