This is our second time on Vis, second time to stay at Dionis. We had room 6, top floor. The only room with a big door out to the patio so we had an amazing view. BUT… you have to climb the stairs to gain the view. For us it is a no brainer. Room is set up so efficiently with good access to many plugs, lots of storage, refrigerator, desk, coffee maker, and sitting room. They gave us beach towels to use. Good breakfast was included with the room (you order off the menu at their restaurant). Good WiFi. Friendly helpful owners, great location and fair price. Fun Fact: Mama Mia, Here We Go Again was filmed in the little square right in front of the hotel.

Hotel within easy walking distance of the ferry on the flat. About 400 yards. Our room was an attic room up several flights of stairs(no lift). No problem for us with hand luggage but may be a problem for those with less mobility. The room itself was big enough for two and had a large balcony. No sea view but i understand other rooms have balconys with a sea view if thats important to you. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. the bathroom was clean and had plenty of hot water. Room was cleaned and beds made each day we were there. Once you get over the langauge barrier we found the staff friendly and helpful and you could have a laugh with the girls. Could have been laughing at us rather than with us? Breakfast was fresh and plentiful served at the table. Ask for more if you,re still hungry. There is a restaraunt at the property. We ate there twice and the meals were excellent. Enough bars and cafes in the immediate area to keep most people happy. If i went to Vis again would i book this property.? Yes i would

we stayed as a big group of 17 here,it was so lovely to be able to walk down and sit at long tables, enjoy delicious pizza(we had 6 vegetarians among us). Rooms look much better than the photos and for the price it was so worth it. breakfast was generous and the people were all lovely. They had help us make reservations for dinner at Roki and seafood place. We loved Vis and it was a pleasure to experience it through Dionis, Nikola and his kind staff. Great value for the price and an authentic Croatian experience

The stairs to the top of the building were a small price to pay for the fabulous views and lovely room. We were a party of four and had the two rooms that shared a terrace overlooking the harbour and the church opposite - stunning! It was very clean and breakfast in the adjoining restaurant was great. Sitting out on the terrace with a glass of wine in the evening was paradise.

My wife and I spent three night in room 6, the top floor triple with the terrace. The views of the harbor were unmatched, the location could not be beat, and the room was perfectly comfortable.

Most importantly, there were two incidents that really stood out in my mind and made me realize that this is a warm, welcoming place to which we would happily return. First, the caretaker did all of our laundry, at no cost, and hung it out to dry in front of our room. Second, in our rush to leave and catch the ferry, I left two nice shirts hanging in the closet. I assumed they were lost, but the hotel staff mailed them to me back in the US. Priority! I couldn't believe it when they showed up at my home 10 days after leaving Vis. I can't say that this was "at no cost" because I am currently begging them over email to let me pay them back for the shipping. I'm not sure I will be successful.

We stayed on the top floor in a room with skylights that had a lovely deck overlooking the harbour. It was spotless, with comfortable bed and nice sized fridge, which allowed us to eat fresh food on our balcony while watching the sailboats docking! Breakfasts (included) were delicious and plentiful, and we had pizza at the restaurants a couple of times,,,,also delicious. Staff was courteous and very helpful. We would Absolutely recommend this pension!

Great big room with everything you need, including a fridge and good a/c. Lovely part of Vis town, quiet at night and good breakfast. Wifi great too. Would definitely recommend, and is great value too. As others have said, the view from the terraces are amazing too... Just be prepared to walk up a couple of flights of stairs.

My daughter and I stayed at the hotel when we were in town for a wedding. Great location for the ferry. We have stayed in the basic but clean room on the second floor. For the price, we were very happy with the stay. The hotel is above the restaurant, so the breakfast included in the stay was very hearty. Also, a lovely maid did our laundry and air dried it on the roof. Very local experience! There's an ironing room on the third floor we have used to get our party clothes ready. The staff helped us book dinner at another restaurant and have negotiated for the driver to bring us back for free. Generally, everyone was helpful and spoke good English. If you are facing the restaurant, on the left there are a few great places to eat.

We didn't stay in the b&b but we did have a pizza for lunch one day in the pizzaeria attached. The service was polite and quick and the setting is lovely. Looking out over the waterfront and just a 5 minute walk from the ferry it is a perfect location.

The pizza was nice and the flavours were very fresh, my wife and I shared a smoked ham pizza and an asparagus pizza both of which I would recommend. Very nice.

First, the upside. The location is close to the port, and the room is a good size. AC and TV worked well. They accept card payment as they are associated with the pizzaria, which is a plus as many Sobes in Croatia only accept cash. By and large, I'd I agree with the other reviews of the Pansion. One downside is that the WiFi doesn't work up in the rooms, only down at the restaurant. The major downside is that I got all sorts of insect bites while staying here. To be fair, we couldn't determine if the source of all my bites was bed bugs in the room or something that had crawled into my hat/clothes at some other point while we were on Vis. The extent of the bug biting, however, was severe and while the pattern of the bites is similar to bed bugs, we could not confirm. We stayed here three nights, and biting started the first night and got worse the second night. By the third night, I put on deet and washed my clothes out. I didn't get any further bites after we left Vis so whatever it was, it was on Vis.
