There are not enough stars to rate our stay at Shinta Mani and difficult to describe the wonderful kindness and attentiveness of the staff and guides. They all made our stay so memorable and made us feel like family, especially on the last night with a spontaneous performance of songs and dance.
The room, the view, the interior design, all picture perfect. The food was so delicious, it felt like gourmet dining every night.
Without disclosing too much, the daily outings came with so many breathtaking moments and lunch setting surprises. We were offered such a stunning combination of nature and culture of what the lower Mustang area is known for.
Not forgetting to give a big praise to the ladies who do the spa treatments and the interesting sessions we had with amchi Tsewang.

We visited the Shinta Mani Mustang in August and what can we say - it was fantastic and unique.

The boutique hotel impresses with its architecture and carefully curated interior design, seamlessly blending into the local landscape. The luxurious suites offer an awe-inspiring view of Mt. Nilgiri's majestic beauty - simply breathtaking!

But not only the nature and architecture impressed us, but also the hospitality and the service.

We would particularly like to mention our guide Rinji, who was by our side from the beginning to the end, always supporting us and enriching us with his knowledge. It is so valuable to have someone with you who knows the culture and the country inside out. He became a friend to us!
We would also like to thank Alish, who took care of us at Shinta Mani at all times and with whom we were able to laugh a lot.
Thanks also to Praydot and the whole team for your wonderful hospitality and for showing us your culture!

The excursions were meticulously planned, and we never lacked anything.
Here we would also like to mention the wonderful food. Krishna does a wonderful job in the kitchen, and his explanations of the local products and dishes were always very interesting (our highlight was the Momo night 😉).

We would come back anytime and will never forget the experience. Just thank you!

First I must start with Sudeep K., who was my first contact when I called to make arrangements. From our first conversation on the phone to the good bye at the airport, he made our experience exceptional. I really do not have the words to express my gratitude for the hospitality that was give to my wife and I.

We felt very safe at all stages of our travels in Nepal, and felt the locals were friendly and spiritual. We flew in from Katmandu on a Helicopter and flew out by plane. I highly recommend both forms of transportation. If you are lucky enough to fly by helicopter you will land at the front door of this luxury boutique property. Shinta Miani just opened when we visited and as we walked around the property... it actually took your breath away at every turn. The property is all inclusive curated journey with a surprise every day. My wife especially could wait to get back to the hotel to get her daily massage , while I never wanted to come back to the property until the sun went down. The daily excursions range from Himalayan treks to religious visits and ancient villages and meals were always a special experience since there were no restaurant's where we were going. There are no roads in Mustang but the drivers were amazing at navigating mountain roads and driving in river beds. The vehicles were outfitted perfectly for the adventure. The meals were delicious and a different Nepalese meal each morning and night.

They are building a new property in upper mustang and have been renovating all the mountain lodges and I really try not to go anywhere twice, but this will be the exception. I must visit upper mustang and trek to more of the mountain lodges. And must see Sudeep's and daughter as a teenager.

This place is different then any other place you have been. Bring an open mind and a lot of energy, i couldn't get enough of Nepal.

We were lucky enough to be there with a travel writer (we did a few excursions together) who does a way better job than I. If you search the web for Carolyn Beasley who wrote an article on Shinta Mani for the Sydney Morning Herald (Australia) on January 9, 2024 . She has pictures and awesome descriptions of our daily activities.

Such an amazing experience - I could
Look at those mountains all day long - constantly changing as the day progresses they give a welcome view at my many rest stops in our excursions. The guides so welcoming and patient and able to adjust the activities to suit the individual as they say they can. Location is breathtaking, food is delicious and the lodge so welcoming always.

An amazing 5 star resort. The room was luxurious with breathtaking views. The food is amazing and they were able to accommodate so many dietary restrictions. The resort has a luxurious spa. It was so convenient being close to the airport and to many of the temples in the area.

I had the recent pleasure of experiencing 5 nights at the incredible Shinta Mani Mustang.

While relatively newly-opened, there were no noticeable kinks that needed to be worked out which surprised me a bit given the remote location. The staff is quite experienced: present when needed, but didn’t linger. The GM was responsive and always present to welcome us back from our day’s trips. The drivers were amazing at navigating boulder-strewn roads and tracks – not a place I would have wanted to drive for sure!

The daily experiences were just incredible – we saw parts of Mustang that I’m confident few other tourists ever have. The guides who work for the hotel are locals and show great pride in taking guests to see and experience the real sights and culture of the region. I won’t spoil the surprises but some of the lunch venues are magazine-cover-worthy.

The bar was cozy and had all the top spirits + wines from around the world. The restaurant offered local flavours as well as international standards. I particularly loved the hearty breakfast choices – important with all the hiking/trekking you do!

Perhaps the best part of the trip is lounging in the massive, super comfortable bed, gazing at the sunrise, moon reflecting on, sunset etc. of Mt Nilgiri through the floor-to-ceiling window.

Getting there takes some effort (fortunately managed for us by the hotel’s Kathmandu team) but it is SO worth it. The flight to Jomsom from Pokhara is something you’ll never forget.

Lower Mustang is a once-in-a-lifetime experience – see it if you can!
