We had a gala dinner at this place. The hotel staff were extremely great and specifically the owner. The choices of food were good and the taste was awesome. One must try this restaurant when in Lumbini.
We thought it is under jananese management so we booked room but it is not like what we expected. They provide wifi coupon which only works for one device. We were two persons in a room and we also wanted our laptops and phone devices connected with wifi but it did not happened. Ac in our room was not functioning. Hotel is not hospitable . They even did not offer you welcome drink and greetings. Very bad impression...
This Japanese-run hotel is immaculately clean - the cleanest hotel we stayed at in Nepal. It does not have luxury services, but we were told by a good local travel agent that it is the best hotel in Lumbini. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. All aspects of the room, including the bedding was immaculate, and the air conditioning worked perfectly (not something you can assume in this part of the world). The bathroom was of the Japanese style, with a wet room and a dry room, very clean and convenient. The restaurant was surprisingly good, with Nepali, Indian, Japanese, and western options, and out hostess/server was incredibly friendly and helpful. There is a nice pool, although we didn't really check it out, as like most, we were there to see the Buddha's birthplace and associated temples, not to sit by the pool. This is really a lovely hotel, and after staying at a number of 5 star establishments across Nepal that were not nearly as clean, we really loved this place. We will absolutely stay there again if we ever go back.…
This is one of the best property in Lumbini. Very ideal for travellers who value cleanliness above anything else. As some of you may know or heard that the hotel properties around this part of the world can be found wanting at times. The property is designed to cater to Japanese tourists which will mean cleanliness is one of its main emphasis. Additionally, each toilet seat is fitted with the smart electric bidet and warmer which is very impressive. The landscaping around the property is decent and well kept. The buffet spread is also very good and well prepared. It serves a mix of Japanese and Northern Indian food. Do note that there is on-going construction work to expand the hotel rooms. There may be noise pollution during day time but if you are out during daytime then this should not be your concern.…
Hotel Kasai is located in its own compound very near the World Peace Pagoda. It seems that some sections of the hotel are better looked after than others. The smarter section is very nice and well kept. The rooms are large with nice clean futons and linen. The air conditioning is good as is the WiFi. The bathrooms are very comfortable and designed probably with a large Japanese clientele in mind. The main accommodation building is surrounded by a large garden with a designated walking path for patrons who would rather not go out for their regular walks. There is a remarkably nice swimming pool. However, the surrounds are rather stark and bland. This area could be improved to make it more attractive. There is also a kitchen garden growing vegetables and herbs. Apparently, the produce from this garden is used in the kitchen, especially in preparing the salads, adding a nice touch to the restaurant. is pretty ordinary but the staff are friendly and sincere. Breakfast is more than adequate. If you need any extra items or have a special need do not hesitate to ask the staff. They are more than happy to oblige if within their capability. Overall, Kasai is more than adequate for a short stay while at Lumbini and most visitors would fall in that category. However, for some reason, it does not provide that home away from home feeling. Perhaps with the completion of the work in progress at the moment it will overcome that deficiency. …
