Excellent location right off of the highway, very clean, rooms are bigger than most, bed was extremely comfortable. This was one the the best Holiday Inn Express's we have stayed at and we have stayed at many. Full breakfast was included that offer a variety of food, something for everyone. Staff was pleasant and knowledgeable.

Stayed for a single night while in the area on business. The hotel is easy to find, right off the highway and there is a Panera Bread in the same parking lot, but little else within walking distance. This seems to be a newer property and it shows. My room was very clean, functional and everything worked well. The pool was closed (not that I wanted to use it) but based on other reviews, this seems to be a common occurrence. Only complaint (and a minor one) is that there were many loud voices and laughing from the housecleaning staff when they started in the morning. Not very considerate of guests who may want to sleep in. If back in Sturbridge I would definitely consider this place again.

After a long multi day driving trip from Florida to New England, we were pleasantly surprised to find this property. We stopped at Panera Bread that shared the parking lot with this hotel. While eating our soup, the hotel looked so inviting and we decided to call it a day. We haven’t stayed at a Holiday Inn in years, but this looked like a new property. We stayed on first floor and enjoyed the convince of using lobby and breakfast area. Our room was very modern with a mini mud room shelving area for luggage complete with hooks for hanging belongings and a bench. Truly the most practical hotel room design we’ve seen in a long time! The lighting in this room was also thoughtfully designed. Lots of plugs for your electronic devices as well. Breakfast was above the normal hotel offerings. So glad to have found this property we’ll certainly stay again when traveling through.…

Mackenzie was professional and helpful at check in. I had asked for a quiet room since I’m a light sleeper and the room was great. They must have those thick windows because it is located close to Mass Turnpike and I didn’t hear a thing. Room was nice and spacious. Clean and extremely quiet. Great price.

Friendly, clean and the room I stayed in at the end of the hall, 3rd floor 330 was very roomy! Hotel was decorated nicely for the holidays. Breakfast included was very adequate for all tastes. Easy checkin. I did book 3rd party with no problem.

Our stay here was wonderful. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. It met all of our expectations and then some. We spent the day at Old Sturbridge Village and the night at the hotel, which was just an easy, short drive from the Village. Breakfast options were very good and included gluten-gree and healthy choices. Will stay here again when in the area. Highly recommend.

I booked a double queen room with fridge microwave and coffee pot. I got a room with two doubles no microwave no refrigerator and a very small single serve coffee maker. Bathroom was so small the door almost hit the toilet. I'm 6 feet tall and was very uncomfortable. Because I went through a third party the front desk couldn't do anything to fix the issues. Again, DON NOT USE A THIRD PARTY RESERVATION COMPANY

We walked in looking for a room for the night last minute. We were greeted with a nice smile and welcome by the gentleman working at the front desk. He was ver pleasant and quickly got us checked in. He also gave us recommendations for dinner. The hotel was very fresh, smelled very clean, the room and bath were LARGE. The bed was so comfy.they offered a good breakfast array of foods however we opted to eat at the Cracker Barrel just down the road.

Holiday Inn Express came in clutch for my partner, her emotional support animal (a small, 13 lb. Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix), and me after having a poor experience at another hotel that’s just up the street (Cxxxxxx Ixx). We are especially thankful for Mackenzie and Danielle for accommodating us after 10pm. We were tired after a long day, nervous because our dog would be having surgery the next day in Sturbridge, and stressed because of the experience we just had at the other hotel, so their kind reception was incredibly needed. When we got to our room, we were particularly wow’ed because there weren’t any bugs in the room! CI could never say the same. As an added bonus, the rooms are very chic, modern, and comfortably large, so we felt like we were living in luxury. Our dog really loved the soft bed, and it was nice to see her comfortable before the big day. The next morning, we dropped our dog off at VSC for her surgery and returned to the hotel to get more sleep. By 11am, the surgery had gone well, but they needed to keep her for post-op observation. We felt lucky to have booked a second night since it seemed as though she may be kept for observation for the rest of the day. However, during the 2pm hour, we got a call from the surgeon to tell us that she was ready to go home. We were so excited that she was doing well enough to go home, but - wait, now it didn’t make sense to have booked a second night. We packed up our belongings and went to check out. After explaining our situation to the front desk agent, she managed to pull some magic and informed us that we would not be charged for the second night. If we ever have to go back to VSC, this is exactly where we’ll be staying. You should, too!…

Clean and comfortable. The rooms were bright, well-kept and welcoming. We are big fans of HIE and stay at them often as we travel. Rarely do we find a "bad" one and even the "bad" ones are pretty good. We got a great rate as members for this brief stop on our way to Boston. We were going to stop at Mystic but decided for the cost to basically just sleep overnight we would stay in Sturbridge. A good launching site if going into Boston the following day, this is truly what we have come to expect from HIE. Great and friendly staff, a clean and welcoming room and a solid included breakfast at a great price. Kudos to this location.
