We stayed at this hotel over the weekend. We attended a conference which was scheduled at this location. It is conveniently located off the highway which made it easy to get to. The room was very comfortable, the bed and pillows provided for a good night’s sleep. I was able to use the workout facilities which provided me with a good workout on the road. In addition they also have a small pool for their guests which I did not use. The pool area looked very appealing. The hotel has a restaurant which is convenient. An added perk in staying at the hotel is that parking is free for hotel guest.

So I had a reception that included a bar-coded validation. When I went to leave, the machine ate my validation. And then it spit it back out. Still the gate was closed. I put it in again, and it said something to the effect of I had already used it. So I pushed the call button and finally someone answered. They said I needed to push the call button. so I pushed the call button again. Same response. Sort of a Groundhog Day thing. Then, she says she'd gonna send someone out because "evidently you can't find the call button." No one came. I tried paying with a credit card, no luck. Finally, I pushed the call button again and eventually someone came. The whole thing took 14 minutes and no apology or anything.

I know how frustrating it can be to navigate parking systems. We live in CT but have family in Boston, Wellesley and Arlington so this is a great location and have been staying there for years. The staff is always excellent but on this visit, particularly Maureen from the front desk was the best!. We were in Boston for a family birthday and for some doctors visit (and a quick procedure) which is always stressful. The day before I called and explained to Maureen why we were there and requested an early check in and a room overlooking the river so my wife could relax and recover. She was very kind and compassionate and accommodated us without hesitation. The first day of our stay, doctor's visits took longer than expected and I called to let folks know we wouldn't be needing an early check in. Happened to speak to Maureen again and she remembered me and took care of us again and wished us well. When we arrived the room that they gave us was on the river but not what we expected. I went down to the front desk and requested a room further down the hall with a better view. Again the staff accommodated us without hesitation. It was a long day at the hospital and I really appreciated that my wife was able to get some much needed rest and relaxation before the drive home to CT…

Had a great stay with a view of the Charles River. Room was very clean, well equipped and comfortable, and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. Hotel has a great location very close to highways. Concierge Lounge on the top floor 2as nice as well.

Stayed for 2 nights. Check in was quick and easy and they acknowledged my Bonvoy status. Room & Bathroom were updated and clean. The bathroom was very small. A few negatives - woken up first morning by bedside alarm at 6 am. This should have been turned off by housekeeping. Although there was a coffee machine in the room, the regular coffee was missing. I tried to call to Room Service in the morning a few times and no one ever answered. Would return, but need to check these items upon arrival.

Spent one night here with my son; standard 60s era Marriott but mostly redone on inside and the room was more than adequate. Good service, easy free parking and take out lunch at the on site restaurant was quick and reasonable. Basement gym was decent. Have previously stayed many times at Westin in nearby Waltham which I prefer but that was priced $100 more per night than the Newton Marriott—save your dollars and stay here instead for almost same level of amenities and quality. Would stay again.

Arrived to room and found zero bath towels. Phoned front desk and it took over 45 minutes to get towels. Looking around the room I found plastic taped over the smoke detector rendering it useless. Then to top it all off I went to make coffee in the AM and found a previous guests moldy leftover coffee filter in machine!!!!

We stayed at the Boston Marriott Newton to attend a concert at Fenway Park. Access to the T was close, but not walkable (had to take a highway). Maybe a 5-10 minute drive. Hotel itself was very nice, staff was very accommodating and gave us an early check-in as requested. There was a little coffee shop (Starbucks coffee) and lots of snacks and light fare available, even after midnight when we got back. Our room was on floor 3, which is actually below the lobby and kind of underground, which was a little strange. There was a huge window with natural light, but the bedding felt very damp. The room did not smell musty though, and was very clean. The signs indicated a merry-go-round on the 6th floor so we went up for our child to ride it, but it turned out to just be a conference room which was disappointing (they should change the name). Beautifully renovated property. Hotel has been there 25 years plus but recently modernized. Check iIn was seamless - Nick was very attentive and professional. Hotel is conveniently located next to 95/128. Room was clean and comfortable with view of pond. A couple of disconnects I suspect caused by pandemic - no bellmen and rooms only cleaned every three days unless requested.
